The invisibility cloak was the first present Harry got from this 🌙 that actually came with a letter. Remus had been using it before to hide from the ministry.

If he couldn't take Harry in, because he wouldn't be able to support him financially, because he was a werewolf, because he was chronicly ill, because he was running from the literal government. He can damn well send him some presents that Harry actually gets to keep.
