Damian, who is inspired by Thomas but at the moment was actually refering to Ra's: Yes, reading and just hearing all those stories about granfather Thomas made me admire him a lot.

Damian who still feels like he can't talk about the other side of his family. Who still feels like talking about happy moments or how despite everything his mother and grandfather loved him and did their best to make him happy or about the things he still admires about them will take away his place at the Waynes, will grant him eyes full of either pity or fearfull concern. Damian who knows his grandfather is evil and his mother is complicated, who choose a different path and who is starting to understand that being pushed to the path Talia and Ra's wanted was bad for him and unhealthy, that kids shouldn't be assassins (but should kids be Robins?). Damian who himself still has hatred and anger for Ra's but also who still has love and admiration. He got his love for animals from them, Ra's love for life. Damian who fundamentally still wants to be a Wayne very much but wishes being a Wayne didn't meant he had to give up on being an Al Ghul. Who wishes he could talk about them. Damian who admires Thomas Wayne and all the stories he heard about him but who was raised by the Al Ghuls, who heard about a santifield version of a healer grandfather and saw a demonized version of one. It was Ra's who bandaged him and Talia. Damian who is doing it for the Waynes. For these people he never got to met and wishes so much he had. Damian who is doing it for the Al Ghuls. For a mother who started wanting to be a doctor before wanting to run away and violence and cooportativism took it out of her, for a grandfather who is far from perfect but who always helps his own people.

Who wanted to be safe to talk about his first home with the people he loves the most. Who is terrifield that being inspired by Ra's will meant he doesn't belong with them.

Damian who didn't even lied. Who got the hugs and support. Damian who does not know why he is upset.

as someone who once had a single parent who was dating i kind of imagine dick having some interactions with clark after he starts dating bruce that go something like this

bruce: so dick, as you know clark and i are dating

dick: *silent glare*

bruce: we wanted to talk to you today becaues we wanted to see if you would be okay with clark staying here sometimes *bruce & clark are sweating bullets*

dick: no.

bruce: no? *clark looks like he's going to cry*

dick: no. last time he was here he ate the stash of animal crackers i had in the cave.

*bruce & clark coming back from a date but the batcave entrance won't open. tries to go into the manor entrance but the door is locked and the key won't work. no overrides work. alfred isn't answering. finally dick answers the phone.*

dick: what.

bruce: can you let us in chum? it's getting kind of cold out here.

dick: only if he leaves.

bruce: come on dick, it's late and clark is supposed to spend the weekend here with us.

dick: no. he's not allowed.

*clark flies them up and gets in through the window of bruce's bedroom*

dick: i told you he wasn't allowed.

*cue shrieking from bruce & clark who were not expecting dick to be sitting on the bed*

Part 3: Combining shapes, braids, and textures! And utilizing parts and fros!

No Justice League identity reveal but Nightwing gets recruited to be a member

Batman wants to keep his family safe but also realizes that his baby boy is a grown man and can make his own decisions, even if this baby gives him a heart attack.

Nightwing is strong, smart, and levelheaded in battle. He’s got a good personality that many heroes, young and old, admire greatly. It would be a great disservice to the the hero world.

So Nightwing joins the Justice Leauge.

Boom, immediately everyone feels like something is wrong. Nightwing is a legend of his own in the superhero community, just like Batman. Obviously, the League figured the only two unpowered humans in the team would get along, but this is too much

Nightwing is constantly on him. Hanging off his shoulders, playing with his fingers, draped over his lap, flipping off his shoulders??? Doing a whole acrobatic routine based on Batman’s body??? It’s strange and off putting.

Batman pretends like it’s not even happening, like he’s completely used to it.

He calls him nicknames, mocks his voice and his serious attitude, argues with him. It’s like the League has been dumped in an alternate dimension. (They’ve checked, but no… still the same dimension)

Now, something hero’s are painfully aware of is that Batman can be kinda territorial about his food. He doesn’t do jokes about trying to steal his food. He leveled Hal with such a flat stare that the man actually apologized and stayed silent for an entire lunch period

And Nightwing has grown close enough to all the main League members that he’s invited to sit at their ‘table’ for lunch. Another reason they’re suspicious of Nightwing, he voluntarily sits by Batman

Nightwing has his own food and finishes it in record speed (obvi not counting Flash) but then… he starts picking at Batman’s…?

Batman doesn’t even blink or slap his hand away. Then Nightwing opens his mouth like a baby bird waiting to be fed and… Batman feeds him??? He cuts off the best part of his steak and just pops it into Nightwing’s mouth.

Why are they both acting like this is complete normal???

Nightwing is stealing his lunches, taking snack out of his utility belt (which is just wow cause why does Batman carry so many snacks??), taking sips of his drinks or just stealing the whole thing for himself

It’s absolutely crazy

And on rare occasions, when Nightwing is eating something he doesn’t like or can’t finish, he just pushes over to Batman. And he eats it!!

The League checks again just to make sure they still haven’t been transferred to another dimension
