Okay so I watched the live action monster high movie and I’m snooping through the credits for hints for the second one, and two people are cast as witches (Arianna Bent and Artemis Pebdani)??? But the only witch I can find in the movie is the one at the end with the crystal ball so where’s the other one hiding?? 😭

You know how Torelai is beating a witch (cough cough Spelldon) up in her teaser what if we have a Valentine v Spelldon fight because “grr witches and vampires are at war we hate each other but we’re actually madly in love”

ABSOLUTELY YES

It just hit me that Valentine’s (who canonically loves animals) love interest is the son of a witch notorious for turning people into animals

I don’t know what to do with that information just putting it out there

Okay so I know Casta is a real name ok it’s own, HOWEVER imagine it’s a nickname. She got it as a child living on Aeaea.

When she was young, her cousins, the Nereids, would laugh and welcome her into their pools when they noticed her. Her babbles would transform one into a small fish. The others would hold her close to their sides, caress her hair, and call her “Casta” after the spells she weaved

When she was older, her mother first showed her the herbs that grew in the soil. Together, they dried and crushed leaves into fine powder before tossing it into the boiling pot. Circe would hold her shoulder, not tight enough to hurt but tight enough to show she was proud. The potion would hiss in her ears, but though it all she heard her mother mutter “Casta”

But she was not “Casta.” She was not whatever “pure” thing they saw in her. She was cursed since the moment she rose from the sea foam her grandmother claimed, her grandfather’s golden touch burning her back and shoulders.

She was Cassiphone. “Brother killer.”

She hadn’t paid her name any mind until another form emerged from the earth. This one, a young boy her mother called “Spelldon.”

And when she first held this small, precious thing, delicately enough he must not have known she was there, she was glad she was “Casta”

So I had this idea a few days ago and I wanted to share it

So right before the climax of the live action, there’s a big battle between the witches and the monster high students. Casta gets really hurt and Spelldon realizes and blasts whoever he’s fighting out of the way to get to her because that’s his big sister.

He tries to heal her but his magic isn’t strong enough alone. Valentine (Ellis) starts to come forward and they have a “do you trust me” moment and Spelldon has to put aside his (likely lifelong) bias against vampires to save casta. They use their magic together (with maybe draculaura too, as in “the three of us” song from the first one) and save the day!

But then they reveal that Ellis’ mother is actually the real villain. I think they’ll do a twist villain who is very similar to the protag like they did in the first one. Like, Komos was part human-part monster just like Clawdeen was, so since Draculaura is the protag now (or at least central character) the twist/“real” villain will be a vampire who practices witchcraft (and I don’t think it’ll be Ellis himself since they seem to get along)

Oh my gosh I love that. They have specific kind of styles to gift-giving and they put so much thought into it to make sure it’s perfect (because they’re both definitely perfectionists let’s not lie here) and they don’t want anything less than absolutely perfect for each other

I LOVE THE IDEA THAT THEY BOTH HAVE A KINDA POETIC STREAK BUT SPELLDON WRITES SONGS AND VAL DOES POETRY they would spend hours writing about each other. I actually have a fanfic in the works about Spelldon using Valentine as a muse for poetry when he gets writers block they’re my favorite

Valentine would be so anxious and nervous to meet Spelldon’s family but they’d be so accepting and welcoming of him because of how happy he makes Spelldon

Valentine is actually really good at painting. He loves oil paints and he paints delicate, calm landscapes. He hides them in a room in his house where his mother doesn’t go.

Spelldon’s hands shake too much to hold the brush. But he is a sketcher through and through and makes thick, messy graphite lines look sharp and elegant. He can’t draw anything but people, and Valentine is his favorite muse
