No Author Is Entitled To Comments, To Interaction, To Reblogs Or Likes Or Reviews Or Anything, But In

No author is entitled to comments, to interaction, to reblogs or likes or reviews or anything, but in a community where you’re essentially a bunch of indie writers, that’s the lifeblood that keeps people *posting*. Writing doesn’t necessarily stop, but when someone feels like no one gives a shit whether you’re sharing or not, you quit sharing.

I have officially gotten through half the chapter. There's only 20 pages. So I'll read the next 10 pages tomorrow in my perfected late fashion.

My caseworker started a book club and we're reading a self help book. Our first club meeting is tomorrow and I haven't even read the first chapter.

I think a running theme in this season of Miraculous Ladybug is that everyone is making mistakes. Obviously the undertone for the season is trust and lies (the first 2 episodes). But in this season all those misguided lies and half truths are going to pile up into some big grand event. And I can't wait to see it all unfold. Nobody is "right" in this season. There's a lot going on that should really not be. Ladybug should be telling her partner about all the new developments. Chat Noir should be voicing his concerns with Ladybug. Alya shouldn't have gone behind Marinette's back to tell her boyfriend after Mari asked her to keep it a secret. Nino shouldn't have outed his and his girlfriend's hero identities to Adrien. And Luka shouldn't have lied to Ladybug. We're watching two cars driving towards each other at full speed, just waiting for the crash.

One take that I keep seeing on Wishmaker is that Luka did his job and made the right decision and was being selfless.

No. He f***ing lied.

Luka had 2 jobs. Reset time if Ladybug and/or Chat noir got hit. And figure out how to stop Wishmaker.

Luka had time to see Ladybug and Chat noir get hit. He had a full 5 seconds use the bracelet instead of staring like a goldfish. WE KNOW it takes a bit before the magic kicks in. That is Luka's window.

Now in the case of Ladybug. You could argue he was mortified he accidentally deflected the blast at her. Maybe not really knowing how much time he had. Fair. Give him the first one because he didnt know how fact acting it was and likely was stunned by his actions.

But he has no excuse for Chat noir. As soon as he saw him get hit. He should have known to close his eyes and reset immediately.

Afterward, he tells Ladybug that her and Chat noir's identities are safe. Now in this instance. This is not a lie. He is not in anyway letting on that he knows. And he is saying the truth.

But then she asks before leaving if it was safe even from him.

This is where he ACTIVELY deceives her. She asked him if he knew. Her putting trust in him to tell her honestly and he lied.

This is a flaw, a selfish lie. This is something that should not be commended. But it is something that makes him interesting as a character.

I think that him making a call like this would be interesting, it should have some repercussions. But I hate how people glorify it as some grand choice and that what he did wasnt wrong . If he was being selfless he would have ADMITTED he saw. He would accept the failure and even if Marinette was mad at him for it.

This action is wrong and selfish. Stop being like

"Oh ItS cAuSe He CaReS aBoUt HeR fEeLiNgS."

No, if anything he would know how CRUCIAL this secret was. Considering how she couldnt tell him. The fact that he knows without her KNOWLEDGE AND ACTIVELY lied to her about knowing when asked. He is violating her trust.

Its a selfish action, it makes him flawed. Makes him more relatable. Simply accept that.

It makes me hopeful they do something with this. Perhaps have it come to bite him in the butt.

Poseidon: “Hold on. Wait. You went down there?”

Zeus: *eating a snacky snack, pausing only to mumble his theme song to himself* “Yeah. Someone hurt the cows.”

Poseidon: “Yes. Someone in Odysseus’s crew.”

Zeus: “Yup.”

Poseidon: *eye twitch* “and with Odysseus in reach… you killed everyone except him?”

Zeus: *laughs* “Ah, yeah. You should’ve seen his face when he was the only one left alive.”

Poseidon: *trembling with rage* “You had Odysseus in front of you and he was the one you didn’t kill?!?! He’s my enemy!”

Zeus: *pausing, arching a brow* “Yeah, and? He’s not mine. Solve your own problems. What do I look like? A janitor?”

I love Skyward Sword so much

I know I have talked about Skyward Sword Link before. But DAMN IT! I want you all to REALLY APPRECIATE this man.

This is not the Link that has been reincarnated a bunch of times and has lifetimes of experience fighting evil and beating the bad guy.

This is a link that was reborn after his previous life F***ING FAILED. He starts out with no master sword, no hylian shield, no other worldly sword training, no triforce of courage, he is pretty much just the reincarnation of a failed hero, and you know what. He helps create the master sword, create the hylian shield, EARNS ALL 3 PIECES OF THE TRIFORCE, fights demons and monsters. Basically fought Hyrule SATAN and WON! And this isnt because of grand destiny, or fate. He didnt care about that. He was doing this for one reason.

To save Zelda. And there was no force in existence that was going to stop him.

And you know what? That is beautiful. It wasnt courage, wisdom, or power that made Link a hero. It wasnt lifetimes of experience and guidance of goddesses. It was his desire to save someone he held dear.

Link's love of Zelda is a force that surpasses Courage, Wisdom and Power.

But above all, his love surpassed Demise's hate. And I dont give a flying f*** about people's opinion on the game. Skyward Sword Link is best Link and I will die on that hill

A good adaption should not be an exact replica of the original material, but should rather build and expand upon it.

I'm from Tennessee and I can tell you, we treat Dolly like a god. When my roommate moved to TN, my friends and I had to tell her that you don't have to like country music to love Dolly.

In 1990, the high school dropout rate for Dolly Parton's hometown of Sevierville Tennessee was at 34% (Research shows that most kids make up their minds in fifth/sixth grade not to graduate). That year, all fifth and sixth graders from Sevierville were invited by Parton to attend an assembly at Dollywood. They were asked to pick a buddy, and if both students completed high school, Dolly Parton would personally hand them each a $500 check on their graduation day. As a result, the dropout rate for those classes fell to 6%, and has generally retained that average to this day.

Shortly after the success of The Buddy Program, Parton learned in dealing with teachers from the school district that problems in education often begin during first grade when kids are at different developmental levels. That year The Dollywood Foundation paid the salaries for additional teachers assistants in every first grade class for the next 2 years, under the agreement that if the program worked, the school system would effectively adopt and fund the program after the trial period.

During the same period, Parton founded the Imagination Library in 1995: The idea being that children from her rural hometown and low-income families often start school at a disadvantage and as a result, will be unfairly compared to their peers for the rest of their lives, effectively encouraging them not to pursue higher education. The objective of the Imagination library was that every child in Sevier County would receive one book, every month, mailed and addressed to the child, from the day they were born until the day they started kindergarten, 100% free of charge. What began as a hometown initiative now serves children in all 50 states, Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom, mailing thousands of free books to children around the world monthly.

On March 1, 2018 Parton donated her 100 millionth book at the Library of Congress: a copy of "Coat of Many Colors" dedicated to her father, who never learned to read or write.
