I need him to face what he's done and feel regret, on some primal level. I need him to reconcile with himself. I need him to face reality, and choose the Acendancy. And become who he was before again, even if it's not an exact copy. I want my Thrawn back 🥺

Not to have raw emotion in this Chili’s tonight, but I’m imagining Ezra getting taken to the Ascendancy and realizing that the cold, somewhat callous man who enabled Hera’s cold-blooded torture and presented him to a Sith Lord on a silver platter is...rather beloved, if controversial.

(Ezra is a Jedi—he does not let his anger consume him, but this time he’s resisting a mixture of that and confusion)

to be clear. Ezra’s feelings are absolutely valid in this scenario. He does not have to get cured of any dislike for Thrawn just by seeing how the Chiss he’s close to think of him. But it’s definitely something I’d want any writer who takes this path in canon to consider.

bonus: the Chiss hearing Ezra’s (and very many imperials with them) testimony about Thrawn’s actions under the empire and *them* needing to reconcile that Thrawn, who, while a trigger-happy on preemptive strikes, generally cared, is the same person who they’re hearing about committing cold military acts and nearly bombing a planet into submission.

I agree with your observations. 2017 Thrawn or Ascendancy is by far the best bet.

I'm not worried about Rebels Thrawn, any of the others could take him on and win. My concern is for Ahsoka Thrawn, he seems to be based at least loosely on the original Thrawn from the 1991 series. And he's a deadly killer.

Still I would choose 2017 Thrawn. Not only because of his connection to thea Empire and Ar'alani, but also because Ascendancy Thrawn is the past him. And he would best know that Thrawn's techniques.

That being said. I would like to spend the most time alone with Ascendancy Thrawn. Maybe a little one-on-one torture session? 😉

Rebel Thrawn is scary af but the Ghost crew slipped away from him enough times so he's got the worst luck ever. That'll work in my favor.

Ahsoka Thrawn... idk he just looks tired man, dude just wants to go home at this point probably 😂 plus Ezra may have softened him up in their space wilderness adventure which is totally canon and totally happened. yes.

So that leaves 2017 Thrawn as my adventure buddy. 10/10 outcome as he's the most Sherlock Holmesy of the lot. Also if he brings Eli and Faro along, I'll die happy when the other three eventually kill me.
