Now I think he would like to sleep with humans, like... The scandal 😏
He would verbally and publicly denonce those indecent ways but once doors are closed ? Put those pretty alien lips to use on your Patriarch
That is so self indulgent, I am all here for it. He would fuel the fires when he's bored.
HEIR TO THE EMPIRE GUYS THEY SAID IT THEY FUCKING SAID IT
So after having some time to collect myself and rewatching the movie a few times I've come to a few conclusions. The first being that I was absolutely correct in my analysis that Optimus would not be able to live without Optimus and I firmly stand by that thought. It was solidified as soon as I saw Optimus not even taking a moment to celebrate the rebuilt world of Cybertron, or celebrating the growth of his friend, he jumped right back in to the work, choosing missions that would consume his entirety, all of his time, and nothing else mattered except for the mission. The second being that Megatron is truly stronger than Optimus was in this regard, it was beautiful seeing the conqueror be conquered, to see Megatron remember why he took the name he did, to see him remember what it is to be oppressed and what he was fighting for. Megatron had lost sight of that and Unicron reminded him that he is only a gladiator. I think that it's interesting that he left before Optimus sacrificed himself to the Allspark, it's an interesting parallel, Optimus watched and could not let go, and Megatron did not watch but he let him rest in peace. I think that Megatron wanted to have that final image of Orion in his head, the approval and love and kinship, the acceptance. The final acceptance. But he couldn't watch him leave again. Not like the first time, he couldn't be left again. Megatronus knows how to live without him, but Megatron does not. And that's a very interesting and complicated balance. But at the end they are neither the revolutionaries they started as, they are not Megatronus and Orion Pax, but neither are they Optimus Prime and Megatron, they are something new, they've evolved and they've grown, and this is the third step of life for them. Where they've realized that they can't continue on without the other, and that they will never truly leave. The will always be there for each other, in some way.
Also I would like to thank you, @artificial-people-ai for all of your help. You are now my new favorite person on this app.
I just finished watching Transformers Prime (haven't watch the movie yet) and...when Bumblebee killed Megatron my heart just dropped, and I think that Optimus's did too. When it just panned over to him with his wide optics as he watched the light go out of Megatron's...I saw a glimpse of Orion there.
And with all honesty, I don't believe that he will be able to live without him. Megatron was his mission, in the beginning the war, before it was even a war, Megatronus was there, they fought together, they were brothers. Then the betrayal came and it became about saving his friend and his planet. Eventually Optimus started to just seek revenge, for his brother and for his home. But at the end, I think that Optimus still had hope that he could save him. He wanted to save Megatron. And that chance was taken away from him.
And for the past 4 million years! Optimus' every waking moment has been consumed by Megatron. How would he live once the mission was over? Who would he be? I don't think he's ready to find the answer to that, and I don't think he'll survive to find out. I don't think he can.
Don't feel sorry. I'm a Thurfian apologist and a Thrawn apologist at the same time, so it's fun.
The thing is, Thurfian is the character that is mostly always right, he does it for the Ascendancy and see Thrawn for the actual menace that he his, but he has a hard time proving because Thrawn is a prodigy that always get away with everything (until he doesn't).
I bet he gained white hair early thanks to our dear Grand Admiral.
I actually ask myself if I shouldn't write for him from time to time, but the fandom for the Ascandancy trilogy is really niche.
You absolutely should write for him, the fandom is niche, but those who are here are like parasites and we need to feed. Plus I've been looking for good Thurfian fics.
One of the things that fascinates me about the Thrawn trilogies is that he always has a mirror. During the Empire Era it's Pryce and to a certain extent Krennic, even Tarkin from a certain point of view. In the Acendancy Era it was supposed to be Thrass, but his time was cut short (😔). Thalias tried to fill the role, but his mirror shouldn't agree with him. Thurfian is a prodigy of his own right. He does not have the strategic skills of Thrawn when it comes to the battlefield, but when it comes to matters of the court there is no one that you would be in better hands with. Whether you like it or not.
I believe is that Thurfian is just as much of a menace as Thrawn. Thrawn cannot possibly see the devastation that his actions take on the Acendancy from within, but Thurfian cannot see the affects of his inaction from without.
And yes, Thurfian isn't that old, he just has permanent stress lines.
Imagine showing Thrawn a piece of your culture or religion, and having him sit down buzzing and eager as you explain its significance.
Apparently Thrawn being your favorite character because you read all of his books before you even knew he was in "Rebels" is "beyond niche".
I had a daydream that Thrawn got thrust back into the Acendancy and they have a punishment for murderers. Two cuts on his cheeks (like Indigo Montoya). They marked him and whipped him. And then my mind went wild, and they stripped him of his family name, honorifics, and status with ways to earn them back after paying penance.
But the sad part was that he believed that he deserved it.
i had a dream that tim z released like an “extended version” of lesser evil that featured a handful of extra chapters at the end. the dream was so vivid that my first thought upon waking up was “omg i can’t wait to finally read that!”
the extended content was pretty dark and heartbreaking. apparently there was more to thrawn’s punishment than just exile: he was to be publicly tortured - not to death, but still. something akin to being tied to a cross for three days. his allies suggested he should run, but it’s thrawn, so he surrendered willingly. the other things i remember are more fragmented - a scene with a forest and a lake, a dam in that lake; thrawn underwater, struggling to swim upwards.
in the dream i also drew this fanart of thrawn holding che’ri who is clinging to him, so of course i decided to recreate it (i love drawing things that come to me in a dream. it makes me feel powerful.) something scary was supposed to happen to che’ri though i don’t know what, and in the epilogue she was shown many years later, married and with kids, and still remembering thrawn and honoring his legacy.
i’m glad it was just a dream because it was very much grim and dark, but if it was real it would be an intriguing thing to read. anyway i’ve literally been thinking about this dream all day so i hope yall enjoy this little art and what my thrawn obsessed brain has produced in my sleep.
I have this disease called starts too many WIPs syndrome
Echo leaving was Omega's first familiar loss in the series. She's lost her home and seen many clones die, but this is the first time that someone in her squad has left. She has no idea how to process this loss and doesn't understand when Hunter, Wrecker, and especially Tech don't react with the same confusion and anger that she does. They've all lost someone important to them, probably more times than they would like to keep count.
Omega doesn't see that, she sees a cold front, the product of abandonment.
Omega feels like Echo abandoned her, and Tech feels like Crosshair abandoned him.
That's why their conversation in episode 9 is so important. During the first season we, the viewers, see Tech blow up on Cross when they're escaping Kamino, but it is never mentioned again, whatever harbored resentment he may have is sidelined, and it is possible that Omega never saw how much it hurt him. And now with Echo leaving, she does see, that one mention of Crosshair, the pain in his eyes, she can now see that she is more like him that she thought, he's just used to being abandoned.
And now with recent episodes, in season 3, we'll have a chance to see another parallel. Omega never meant to abandon her family, she was taken and she'll most likely be brainwashed (or it will be attempted). Similarly Crosshair didn't have a choice when he was taken. He'll have to face the knowledge that Tech died coming to save him. That he died protecting Omega.
They'll both be a ressentful towards one another, rightfully. But in the end they'll realize that it was Tech's decision. That he sacrificed himself so that they could survive.
And Omega will realize that she's more like Crosshair than she thought. He's just used to being abandoned.
Proposal: The Kaminoans found Jango Fett to be a prime subject for cloning not only for his mental and physical prowess and training, but also because he was asexual and they wanted their army to not form relationships with civilians. They did not count on the fact that sexuality, much like M-count, cannot be replicated.
Thus leading to the abundance of hidden relationships formed throughout the clone ranks with Jedi, senators, and civies.
