"Heroes in the Making"

It was a bright afternoon in the small, quiet neighborhood where Izuku Midoriya and Eijiro Kirishima grew up. The two boys were sprawled out in Izuku’s backyard, surrounded by scraps of paper, action figures, and a well-worn notebook where Izuku had meticulously drawn all the heroes he admired. It was a weekly ritual — one that had been going on since they were little.

"Man, I can’t believe how cool All Might is!" Kirishima grinned, holding up an action figure of the symbol of peace. He loved the figure, with its rugged muscles and vibrant red cape, as if it held the power to take on the world.

Izuku nodded enthusiastically, his emerald eyes sparkling behind his glasses. “Yeah, he’s the best! He doesn’t just save people; he inspires them too. He’s always so positive, no matter how tough things get.” Izuku’s voice softened, reflecting a deep admiration for the number one hero. “I want to be like him, Kirishima. I want to be someone who can protect people, just like All Might.”

Kirishima looked over at his friend with a smile. “I know you will, man. You’ve always been strong, even if you don’t have a flashy quirk.” He elbowed Izuku lightly, a teasing grin on his face. “You’ve got that ‘inner strength’ thing, right?”

Izuku’s face flushed. He had always admired Kirishima’s unshakable confidence, something Izuku sometimes struggled to find within himself. “I… I hope so. But I’ll never be like him. I’m just… not good enough.”

“Dude, stop that!” Kirishima exclaimed, sitting up. “You’ve always been there for me. Remember when we were kids, and those bullies were picking on me for having such a ‘girly’ quirk? You stood up for me.”

Izuku’s face softened at the memory. It had been back in elementary school, when Kirishima’s quirk had manifested. It was a little embarrassing at first, because his body hardened like rock, but with a pinkish hue that made him look almost delicate. The bullies made fun of him, calling him weak or making fun of his "weak" and "simple" quirk

But Izuku had never thought of him as anything less than strong. When the bullies cornered Kirishima one day, it was Izuku who stood between him and their cruel words, despite his own nerves. He might not have had the physical strength to fight, but he had the courage to stand up for his friend. “Leave him alone,” he had shouted, voice shaking but determined.

Kirishima had grinned that day, as always. He never got upset about what people said, but he appreciated that Izuku was always there to protect him, to remind him that he was worth defending. From then on, the two had been inseparable.

“I’m glad you were there,” Kirishima said, his tone sincere, as he lightly punched Izuku’s shoulder. “I don’t know if I could’ve handled it without you. It’s like we’ve always had each other’s backs, you know?”

Izuku nodded, feeling a warmth spread through his chest. He couldn’t imagine a better friend. “I guess we’ve always been heroes for each other. But I want to be the kind of hero who can protect everyone, not just you.”

Kirishima smiled, leaning back against the grass, hands behind his head. “And you will be. You’ve got the heart for it, man. You just gotta believe in yourself more.”

They both fell into a comfortable silence for a while, watching the clouds drift lazily across the sky, dreaming of the future. The future where they would both attend U.A. High School, where heroes were made.

It wasn’t long before their dreams became reality.

---

Years later, Izuku and Kirishima stood side by side at the gates of U.A., both of them feeling a little nervous but excited. They had made it.

“I can’t believe we’re here,” Kirishima said, his voice a little shaky despite his usual bravado. “We’re gonna be real heroes now.”

Izuku grinned, the nerves in his own voice giving way to determination. “Yeah. I mean, it’s going to be tough, but we’ll make it through. We’ve always had each other’s backs.”

Kirishima looked at him, his expression softening. “Always.”

The two of them walked together through the gates of U.A., knowing that their friendship and shared dream would carry them through whatever challenges lay ahead. And maybe one day, they’d both be heroes, just like the ones they had always admired. But for now, they were just two childhood friends, eager to take the first steps toward their futures — together.

My Journey to Escape the War in Gaza

My name is Abdelmajed. I never imagined I’d be sharing my story like this, but life in Gaza has become unbearable. I am a survivor of the war here, and in the blink of an eye, everything I once knew—my home, my safety, my community—was ripped away from me.

My Journey To Escape The War In Gaza

The war has transformed Gaza into a graveyard of broken dreams. The buildings that once stood as symbols of life and resilience are now piles of rubble. Every corner is filled with the echoes of explosions. Every moment is shrouded in uncertainty. There is no security. There is no stability. There is no light at the end of the tunnel.

Basic needs have become luxuries. Food is scarce. Clean water is even scarcer. Hospitals are overwhelmed and under-resourced, and there is almost no medical care to be found. Every night, families go to bed hungry, praying they’ll wake up to see another day. The cost of basic necessities has skyrocketed, and it’s become a daily battle just to survive.

I’ve seen things I never thought possible—standing in long lines for a piece of bread, rationing every drop of water, and watching my people suffer in silence. I have lost everything—my home, my safety, my dignity.

Escape from Gaza is my only hope, but it’s almost impossible without financial help. The cost of evacuation is far beyond my means, and without support, I’m trapped in a warzone with no way out.

I’m reaching out to you now, in the hopes that someone, anyone, can help. I am not asking for luxury. I am asking for a chance—just a chance—to live. A chance to escape this never-ending cycle of fear, destruction, and loss. A chance to rebuild my life somewhere safe, where I can begin again, where I can find hope once more.

Help Abdelmajed Escape Gaza and Rebuild His Life
Chuffed
My name is Abdelmajed, and I am a survivor of the war in Gaza. Everything I once knew has been taken away—my home, my safety, and the people

Any amount you can give will help me get closer to safety. Even the smallest donation will make a difference—it could be the lifeline I need to survive. If you are unable to donate, please share my story. The more people who hear it, the better the chance that I can find the support I desperately need.

Your kindness and support mean the world to me. You’re not just helping me escape a war; you’re giving me a chance to live, to rebuild, to breathe again.

Thank you for listening. Thank you for caring.

Explosive Love: Part 2 – Babysitter Bakugo

Pairing: Kirishima x Fem!Reader

Featuring: Reluctant Babysitter Bakugo

Genre: Comedy, Fluff, Chaos

Summary: Kirishima finally convinces Bakugo to babysit for just one hour. It goes exactly how you'd expect—except worse. Because the baby still has her secret weapon: farts. And Bakugo? He's not ready.

---

“I swear, it’ll only be an hour,” Kirishima said, practically bouncing with excitement as you both stood by the door.

Bakugo stood in the living room, arms crossed, expression thunderous. “Why the hell am I even here?”

“You owe me!” Kirishima grinned, already tossing him the diaper bag. “Remember that time I took a lightning bolt for you during that joint training exercise?”

“That was three years ago!”

“And I still have the scar.”

You tried not to laugh as you slipped your shoes on. “Don’t worry, she’s napping. Easiest babysitting gig ever.”

Bakugo narrowed his eyes at you. “You’re lying.”

You and Kirishima bolted before he could say anything else.

---

Exactly three minutes later…

PFFFFFFFFTTT

Bakugo stared in horror at the tiny being in front of him.

“What the hell was that.”

The baby gurgled innocently from her blanket on the floor. Her eyes locked onto Bakugo’s, gleaming with the chaos of a true menace.

PFFT-BRRRRT.

“…OH HELL NO.”

Bakugo shot up, backing away like she’d just thrown a grenade. “Why does she sound like a damn motorboat?!”

The baby let out a victorious squeal, rolling slightly. The air grew thick with danger.

“I swear to—KIRISHIMA, YOU SET ME UP!”

He pinched his nose and tiptoed over with a blanket held like a shield. “Okay, okay. You got your joke. Ha ha. Very funny. Diaper change time.”

He opened the diaper.

“Oh my god.”

---

Thirty minutes in…

Bakugo was pacing the room, the baby on his hip, burping.

“Come on, I fight villains who can control freakin’ fire. I blow stuff up for a living. I’m not scared of a little—”

PFFFT.

“…I am terrified.”

He glared at her. “What the hell are you eating? Lava?!”

She giggled and patted his cheek sweetly. Then promptly let another one rip.

---

One hour later…

Kirishima opened the door and found Bakugo standing in the hallway, shirtless, holding your baby at arm’s length like a contaminated bomb.

“She farted on my neck,” Bakugo said quietly. “I can still feel it.”

Kirishima blinked. “Where’s your shirt?”

“She won. That’s where it is.”

You took the baby from him, laughing as she snuggled into your shoulder.

“She’s a menace,” Bakugo muttered, turning to leave. “And I’m never stepping foot in this house again.”

Kirishima grinned. “See ya next week, bro. Same time?”

Bakugo didn’t answer. He just kept walking.

PFFFT.

Your daughter let out one final farewell.

Bakugo didn’t even turn around. “Tell her to keep that war crime to herself next time.”

Izuku Midoriya, as a dad 🪴

Genre: fluff/comfort

Warnings// Mild description of birth, a miscarriage, but anything else is just fluff!

AGED UP AU!

TELL ME IF YALL WANT MORE LIKE THIS

Izuku Midoriya, As A Dad 🪴

Izuku Midoriya:

☆☆☆

-When you first told him the news it looked like he was gonna pass out, he was excited to be a father again, but also scared that yku were gonna loose this one too.

-When you're pregnant, he will do his best to protect you, like he will literally baby proof every little thing in your house just so you or the baby don't get hurt. (SO SWEET😭)

-He will always have a hand on the tummy to check if it's alive and well, when he sees you waddle in your house he immediately follows you and walks behind you just so you don't fall because he can't handle another miscarriage.

-When you have morning sickness he will do his absolute best to make you food that doesn't make you nauseous.

-His friends from UA will always come to check up on you or visit you, to make sure everything is okay. Even bakugo visits sometime, to see the little gremlin he was gonna he an uncle to.

-His mother LOVES you, and she's really excited to be a grandmother. She always helps you when izuku isn't home because of patroling or work, theres so many times where you've had a false contraction and she immediately falls into panic but at the end everything gets sorted out.

-She also often just visits without asking to check on how everything's going, izuku has given up on deciding when his mother can visit because he knows it's a conversation he cant win.

-At night you often have nightmares because of your last miscarriage, izuku wakes up to you whining in your sleep and tossing around. He puts his arms around you and strokes your belly slowly while telling you sweet words of comfort.

-When your labour started you didn't know how to react, firstly some liquid spilled out and you got confused, then after a few minute's a strong wave of pain washed over you, that was when it clicked.

-You quickly grabbed your phone and dialed Inko's number, telling her what had happened in those few minutes. I'm not kidding, in under 3 minutes she already was bursting throught your door with a panicked expression her face. She quickly called an ambulance and sat you down in the sofa to steady your breathing.

-Just like izuku, she mumbled very much. You had to stop yourself from yelling at her. When the ambulance arrived, she quickly helped you get up and walk towards the door before some paramedics took care of the situation. While you and inko were seated in the ambulance (you laying in the bed thingy) she kept reassuring you that everything would be okay and that the birth would go well.

-Inko already had called izuku about your condition but he wasn't answering, probably because he was very busy at the time. As you arrived to the hospital the contractions got so much worse, you swore you saw jesus bringing you to the other side for a second.

-As the nurses made you comfortable in your room you couldn't help but worry about izuku, did something happen that made him unable to answer your calls? Did he get seriously hurt? So many questions flowed your head which worried you.

-As time passed you got more and more dialted and the contractions became closer and closer. Inko warned the nurses and made them look after you and check up on you. Panic set your body as you were told how far you were dialated. 10 centimeters.

-more time passed and soon you were laying in the hospital bed, cussing and throwing a curse on the poor nurses and inko that surrounded you, but what could you say? Labour hurt.

-Your whines and sobs quickly quieted down as a loud cry filled the room, you looked down to see a crying baby that flared It's arms in the air. It's face was red and angry as air filled It's lungs, it was covered in many different liquids and had a good pair of lungs.

-The nurses washed and packed the baby in a soft blanket before handing it to you, soon after the birth, you found out it's gender. A beautiful baby boy.

-You leaned back with your baby in your arms, his cries quietly calming down as soft coos came out of his mouth. Even if it hurt it was worth it.

•Some time later•

- Inko sat in a chair close to the bed where you were laying on sleeping, her peaceful snores echoing thought the room.

-Suddenly, a loud phone call was heard coming from Inko's phone placed on the table next to where she was sitting. The contact calling her was named as "my sweet munchkin" which you chuckled at, it was of course your beloved husband.

-But unfortunately the loud ringing woke up your baby, his face scrunching up before beginning to wail loudly. Inko picked up the phone and answered with a little "Hello?"

-Izukus panicked voice could be heard in the background, talking about how he was on his way to the hospital and asking if you were fine. It made you snicker.

-When he arrived to your room he couldn't help but fall to his knees crying happy tears when he saw the baby, your sons eyes were green while he had your hair color. It was everything izuku wanted.

-He moved closer to where you sat, gently picking the baby out of your arms to hold his son himself. He sniffled as he buried his face into your shoulder.

This was his happiest day of his life

“Chronicles of Chaos: Y/N Edition”

Or: That Time UA Regretted Letting Her Out of the Infirmary

---

1. The Great Kitchen Fire (That Technically Wasn’t Her Fault)

It started with a simple craving: pancakes.

It ended with the fire alarm going off, Sato screaming, and Y/N standing on the kitchen counter fanning smoke with a cutting board.

“I said I knew what I was doing!” she yelled over the alarm.

“You poured orange juice in the pan instead of oil!” Sato cried.

“I was improvising! It’s called culinary jazz!”

The microwave exploded.

Present Mic kicked the door open in his pajamas. “WHO SUMMONED ME WITH CHAOS?”

“I DIDN’T EVEN GET TO FLIP ONE,” Y/N wailed.

---

2. The Invisible Wall Incident

Hatsume had been testing a new tech that projected invisible energy barriers.

Y/N, naturally, ran into it face-first with the force of a charging rhino.

“OW. WHY IS THE AIR HARD?!”

“You walked into the new prototype,” Hatsume said cheerfully.

“You should’ve put up a sign!”

“It’s INVISIBLE.”

“I’m suing you for emotional damage and nose betrayal.”

The class watched her dramatically slide down the force field like a tragic soap opera character, leaving behind a forehead print on the invisible wall.

---

3. That Time She Thought a Villain Was a Cosplayer

It was during a field trip.

Y/N wandered off. (Again.)

She came across a guy in a full villain outfit, mask and all, standing ominously in an alley.

“Ooh, your cosplay is AMAZING,” she said, circling him. “Is this original? Or based on some underground manga?”

The villain, confused, hesitated. “Uh… I’m robbing a store.”

“WOW, dedication to the bit!”

“I literally just set a building on fire.”

“You’re really selling it! I can’t even tell if you’re method acting or—WAIT, IS THAT A REAL KNIFE?!”

She came back five minutes later, singed and out of breath.

“Okay so plot twist, that was not a Comic Con side quest.”

---

4. Her Deep, Emotional War With the UA Vending Machine

She was one yen short.

Just. One.

Y/N smacked the machine. Sweet. Nothing.

She begged. It ignored her.

She yelled, “I HAVE SUFFERED FOR THIS SNACK, GIVE ME MY SALTY JUSTICE!”

Bakugo walked by, slapped the machine once, and it coughed out not only her chips, but a second bonus bag.

“I loosened it for you,” Y/N muttered.

Bakugo didn’t even stop walking. “You’re pathetic.”

“I’M THE PEOPLE’S CHAMPION,” she shouted after him, holding both chip bags above her head like trophies.

---

5. The Time She Tried to “Train” the Dorm’s Pet Turtle

Someone brought a turtle back to the dorms. Bad decision. Y/N decided it had “hero potential.”

She built it a cape out of a sock, taped on a cardboard mask, and named it “Shellshock.”

“Today, we conquer the common room,” she whispered to it dramatically.

She tried to make it do laps in the sink.

It turned around and pooped on her hand.

“This is betrayal,” she whispered, looking into its eyes.

Shellshock blinked. Unbothered. Unapologetic.

---

6. Late Night Philosophy (A.K.A. Sleep-Deprived Chaos)

2:39 AM. She wandered into the lounge in fuzzy slippers, wrapped in a blanket, holding a spoon.

Not eating. Just holding it.

“Do you think All Might ever stubbed his toe in his buff form and cried in his skinny form so no one would know?” she asked Kaminari.

“...Go to sleep.”

“Do frogs know they’re frogs?”

“Y/N.”

“Do we all technically taste like chicken?”

“Y/N, PLEASE.”

Explosive Love (Literally)

Pairing: Eijiro Kirishima x Fem!Reader

Genre: Fluff, Comedy, Domestic

Summary: Kirishima thought being a dad would be all hero work and cuddles. He wasn’t prepared for your baby’s fiery talent… and it’s directed at him. Constantly.

---

You weren’t sure how something so small could be so dangerously gassy.

Seriously. It was almost impressive.

"She’s like a tiny grenade," you said, watching from the kitchen as your husband Kirishima sat cross-legged on the nursery floor, cradling your giggly five-month-old daughter.

"A grenade that only targets me," he groaned, face twisted between adoration and mild horror.

Pfffft.

Another one. Right on his thigh.

Kirishima paused mid-coo, lips parting. “That’s the fourth one in ten minutes. I counted.”

You tried not to laugh. “Maybe she’s marking her territory?”

He gave you a look. “So I’m the chosen one?”

Pfffft.

“Yup. Chosen again.”

The baby squealed with delight as if she knew what she was doing. Her chubby legs kicked against his chest, and Kirishima caught her, smiling through the torture.

“She’s got your quirk,” you teased, folding a tiny pink onesie. “Only hers is less… hardening and more—”

“Exploding,” he finished flatly. “Her quirk is butt bombs.”

You stifled a laugh behind your hand.

Kirishima held the baby up in the air like Simba, her diaper dangerously close to his face. “Why do you do this to me, princess? I’m your dad! I’m supposed to be your hero, not your toilet paper!”

Pfffffbbbbt.

“NOOO!”

You had to sit down you were laughing so hard.

He lowered her slowly. “You know, when I imagined fatherhood, I pictured late-night feedings, lullabies, maybe the occasional diaper mishap. I did not expect my daughter to weaponize flatulence.”

You finally caught your breath and walked over, leaning down to kiss his forehead. “You’re still her hero.”

Kirishima grinned up at you, defeated. “Yeah… even if she’s the real explosive one in the family.”

The baby gave one final toot, this time small but powerful enough to make him flinch.

"…I think I’m gonna need backup."

"Secret’s Out"

Edgeshot prided himself on precision—both in the field and in life. He had slipped in and out of the hospital with the skill only the #4 Pro Hero could muster, careful not to attract attention. The media didn’t know. The commission didn’t know. Not even his closest colleagues.

And that’s how he liked it.

This was his peace—his sanctuary with you and your newborn son. And he wasn’t ready to share that with the chaos of the hero world.

Unfortunately, fate—and Present Mic’s big mouth—had other plans.

---

It started innocently enough. A casual patrol meeting at the agency. The usual crew—Endeavor, Mirko, Best Jeanist, Hawks, and of course, Present Mic—sat around the table throwing back caffeine like it was oxygen.

Edgeshot stood at the edge, arms folded, face unreadable as always. Calm. Controlled.

Until Hawks strolled in late, twirling a familiar beanie in his hand.

"Yo, Shinya," Hawks said with a smirk, holding up the tiny gray hat with a small embroidered duck. "You, uh, drop this?"

Time stopped.

Edgeshot's eyes flicked to the beanie. His son’s beanie.

"...Where did you get that?" he asked, voice perfectly flat.

"I was flying by the hospital yesterday. Saw a nurse wave it around outside the window. Said someone left it. Had a tag inside that said ‘Shin Jr.’," Hawks said with an exaggerated shrug. "Figured it was a sidekick or... surprise, surprise?"

The room went silent.

Then:

"No way," Mirko laughed, sitting up straight. "Edgeshot has a baby?!"

Best Jeanist narrowed his eyes thoughtfully. "Hmm... That would explain the recent increase in tactical leave. And the softer demeanor."

"You’ve been smiling lately," Endeavor grumbled, clearly offended by the idea of anyone having joy.

Present Mic practically leapt out of his chair. "OH MY GOD, SHINYA'S A DAD?!" he howled. "WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME?!"

Edgeshot, surrounded and betrayed by a single forgotten beanie, let out a long sigh through his nose.

"...Yes," he said quietly. "I have a son. His name is Ren. And I’d prefer to keep it private."

The teasing exploded instantly.

"Uncle Jeanist has a nice ring to it, don’t you think?" Jeanist mused.

"I CALL GODMOTHER!" Mirko yelled, punching the air.

"Does he have wings like me?" Hawks teased, tossing the beanie back.

Present Mic was already brainstorming a baby shower playlist.

Edgeshot stared into the middle distance, wondering if he could sew his vocal cords into a noose.

---

Later that night, he returned home, your baby curled peacefully on his chest as he recounted the day’s chaos.

"They know now," he murmured to you, gently stroking your son’s head.

You laughed softly, brushing hair from his face. "You knew they’d find out eventually."

"I was hoping for at least six months," he said with mock despair. "Now Jeanist’s talking about matching denim for toddlers."

You snorted. "Better than Endeavor suggesting fireproof diapers."

He smiled—soft and small—and leaned his head against yours. In the background, your son stirred and sighed, clutching the edge of Edgeshot’s hero cape like it was his whole world.

Let them tease. Let them laugh.

Because now they knew exactly what he was fighting for.

“The Janitor’s Closet Incident”

Pairing: Fem!Reader x Katsuki Bakugo

Genre: Comedy, Chaos, Parental Meltdown, The Fear of God™

---

It started with a phone call.

You picked up. “Hello?”

“Hi, this is U.A. Junior High. We need to speak with Haruki’s parent or guardian. It’s… regarding an incident.”

You immediately sat up straighter. “Is he hurt?”

There was a pause.

“…No. But you might want to sit down anyway.”

---

Bakugo showed up to the school thirty minutes later, stomping through the front office like he was about to arrest someone. You trailed behind, apologizing for the murder energy radiating off your husband.

The principal met you both at the door. “Mr. and Mrs. Bakugo. Thank you for coming.”

“Where is he?” Bakugo growled.

The principal adjusted his tie, sweating slightly. “Uh, Haruki is in the guidance office. We… caught him in a compromising position.”

Bakugo’s eyes narrowed.

“Compromising how?”

The principal coughed. “He was found in the janitor’s closet… with a girl.”

Bakugo blinked. Slowly. Like his body had to buffer the information before rage kicked in.

“…I’m sorry. The WHERE?”

“We believe they were… kissing.”

Kissing.

You swore you could hear Bakugo’s soul leave his body.

---

Haruki sat in the guidance office with a cold compress on the back of his neck. Not because he was injured—because the sheer panic had made him sweat so hard the nurse got concerned.

You walked in first. “Sweetheart…”

He looked up like a deer caught in a nuclear explosion.

“M-Mom—I swear—we weren’t doing anything bad!”

“Closet, Haruki?” Bakugo thundered behind you. “The janitor’s closet?! What are you, a soap opera character?!”

Haruki practically jumped out of the chair. “We were just kissing! I didn’t even—I mean—it was only for like ten seconds and—”

“TEN SECONDS?!”

You gently pushed Bakugo back before he combusted. “Let’s take a breath.”

“No!” he snapped. “First he nearly gives me a heart attack with his ‘alone time,’ then I have to give him the world’s most traumatic sex talk, and now he’s reenacting Riverdamndale in the broom closet?! What’s next? A hotel room?! A BABY?!”

Haruki was turning colors.

“I’m not gonna be a dad! I’m a kid! I don’t even know how to do laundry!”

“Damn right you don’t!” Bakugo pointed a finger like it was a loaded weapon. “And if I ever catch wind of you kissing anyone again without supervision, I’m sending you to a monastery.”

“A what?!”

“You’ll have a vow of silence and a celibacy contract by Monday!”

You snorted trying to hold back laughter. “Okay, okay. Enough. We’ll talk about this at home.”

Bakugo leaned down, eye-level with Haruki. “Do you know what I used to do to pervy boys in high school?”

“Traumatize them?”

“Worse. I gave ‘em tips.”

“Wait—what?”

Bakugo smirked. “And then I traumatized ‘em.”

Haruki groaned. “I need a new family.”

---

Later that night…

Bakugo was pacing the kitchen. “A closet, babe. Like, with brooms and mops. That’s not even romantic!”

You sipped your wine. “Be glad it wasn’t the chemistry lab.”

Bakugo paused.

“…We’re homeschooling him.”

“A Pup Among Cats”

Wild Wild Pussycats x Baby!Reader

Reader has a dog-related quirk (enhanced smell/hearing, maybe tail/ears?)

Genre: Hurt/Comfort, Fluff, Found Family

---

The first time they saw you, you were curled up in a blanket way too big for your tiny body, floppy ears twitching at every sound, big watery eyes staring up at them like they were the biggest things in the world. Mandalay swore under her breath.

“A… dog?” Pixie-Bob blinked. “This baby has a dog quirk?”

“Yup.” The hero who dropped you off looked exhausted. “Enhanced senses. Sharp hearing, powerful nose, slight tail mutation. Probably some tracking potential when she’s older.”

Tiger folded his arms. “You do know we’re the Wild Wild Pussycats, right? We don’t really… deal with dogs.”

Mandalay sighed. “And yet you brought her to us.”

“She needs a home. And you’re registered as foster-capable for quirked kids. No one else has room for someone with her sensory needs. The shelters are full.” A pause. “She doesn’t have anyone else.”

You sneezed then. A tiny, pitiful thing. Your tail wagged once, unsure.

Ragdoll knelt down slowly. “Hi, sweet thing,” she whispered, reaching a hand out. You sniffed it with that super-powered nose of yours, ears perking. “You smell like… tuna,” you babbled.

Mandalay winced. “Okay, that’s kind of cute.”

Pixie-Bob huffed. “Just don’t expect me to like her.”

—

Three weeks later, Pixie-Bob was the one sleeping with you curled on her chest, brushing your little tail while muttering, “Dogs aren’t that bad.”

Tiger caught you trying to chase your own tail and had to step out because “something got in my eye.” Ragdoll taught you how to howl. Mandalay started keeping extra noise-canceling earmuffs in her bag for when your hearing got overwhelmed.

You weren’t a cat. You barked in your sleep and chewed on slippers.

But somehow, you fit. You were their little pup. The odd one out in a house full of felines.

And the Pussycats? They didn't just “deal” with dogs anymore.

They had a reason to love one.
