Part 1- Cave of Ancient Remains

Illuminated only by the gentle glow of fluorescent fungi for millenniuum, the bones of ancient beasts have been newly discovered, though these remains do not rest unguarded.

Part 2- Sky of Vast Zephyr

The sky, which was once characterized as a lonely domain of gods, has become increasingly within reach.

Part 3- Sea of Wrathful Gods

Storms in the sea of wrath are savage and unforgiving, and although it offers a significantly faster trade route, those who cross it are often extremely desperate.

Prologue:

   Boy: More words appear, these pleasing to the eye - I’ll be “John Egbert”, a name for saints and Kings, I trow. Now to take up arms and go, But where among these cakes and bills for rude Entertainments could they be? In this drawer?

   Boy: No arms. Damn my addled mind: they rest Beneath the cake inside yon magic chest.

   Voice: Remove CAKE from MAGIC CHEST

Boy retrieves arms

   Boy: No antics or hilarity for now, I must needs store these in my Sylladex. What else lies here? Some Gyves that feign to lock, A Blade that cannot wound, a Hat, a Mask, Tricks to mimic smoke or blood, a Treatise On japes, a Volume on the life of a Man of wisdom who traffick’d in dark arts. All this I fain would take ‘gainst future need, For now mayhaps this smoke will show it’s meed.

   Boy: Alas! my arms I now can’t bring to hand! This Sylladex is like unto the sack That peddlers use to cart about their wares – And all that they have pack’d must be unlade ‘Ere that which they pack’d first will come to light. No matter now: anon I’ll set it right.

   Boy: No spirits be as facinerious As these. Though fell be their actions and their Passions run to black, these hell-kites’ exploits Enthrall me and I can’t abjure their charms. How now, a note? My father left this here, A birthday gift to mark my thirteenth year.

I loooove drawing silly little fellas, and this character, Crinkle, is as silly as it gets! The character is a Pierrot/Jester, so I wanted to have some sort of circus theme going on. I pictured something like being huddled inside a big top, it's warm and bright, and there's a particular feline clown putting on a great performance to the crowd! This dude would definitely be the star of ANY show 100% This attack was super fun to draw, I really loved playing around with the lighting and colours for the atmosphere!

Anywayyys that's all for artfight 2024!! This was my first time giving it a go and I started a little late but it was SOOO much fun!! I got some awesome attacks on my character (yes, I only had one character o_0) and I can't wait to fight more people next year MWAHAHAHA!!!!!!!
