I think Talia truly loves her father, and I think he loves her too. I think he is terrible, though. He’s a huge abuser, made Talia feel incapable her entire life, manipulated her into feeling beneath him. And with each use of the Lazarus, his mind becomes more and more decayed. His love for his daughter twists and corrupts. He sees her as more of a tool than a child. And she grows to resent this, but still loves him deep down. She wants to help him, but he will never accept the help. So she needs to go off on her own. As someone who kind of knows the position she’s in, it can be extremely hard to latch off of an abusive parent. Especially when you have a deep connection to the concept of family. Talia wants to stay as neutral as she can and play both sides but that physically isn’t possible with the boundaries set up by Bruce. Boundaries that he is absolutely right to put up.

Yknow Selina and Talia could also bond over their love of animals specifically cats. Talia could show her her various wild cats she has on the sanctuaries she runs, and Selina can show her all the strays she takes in. And whenever Talia sees a stray cat on the street she’ll be like “Oh there goes Sebastian.” Bc she hangs out with Selina and the cats so much yknow? One of our biggest hurdles for justice in Palestine is forgetfulness and indifference, which are the cornerstones of Israeli impunity.

Take a look at just the first hospital bombing since October 7, when the Al-Ahli hospital was bombed in October, and people were rightfully outraged for days. Israel then bombed a second hospital, a crime that was now just a headline. Then Israel bombed a third hospital, and now, over 20 hospitals later, this has become "what Israel does".

And I am seeing this now too, where just within one month, people went from literally screaming their lungs out on TikTok about the massacre Israel committed in a displacement camp on May 28, to yesterday, when Israel committed another massacre at another displacement camp, the third within one month, and I can visibly see the difference in response between the first time this happened (May 28) and the third time (June 21).

This has always been the plan as evidenced by Israel's founder saying "the old will die and the young will forget." But when it was clear this was not going to happen and Palestinians would not forget, the selective amnesia of the west became the basis of Israel's strategy.
