đ Day Six: Honeymoon
AO3
Red spends too much time watching Green. From the moment they step into the airport, thereâs something about the man that exudes confidence. He handles himself gracefully, getting them through security, onto the plane, off the plane, to their hotel, and the whole thing is such a smooth transition. Considering how long itâs been since Red has really been around anyone, or wanted to be, Green also handles him really well.
There are a couple times during the whole ordeal where he got nervous or frustrated, but even that is something that Green deals with like a professional.
It isnât until theyâre at the hotel and finally settling in that Red allows himself to actually relax, though.
He drops his bags and turns to Green in defeat, dropping his forehead against Greenâs chest and huffing a frustrated sigh.
âOh, hey,â Green responds in surprise and Red feels him take off his hat, the long, pale fingers running through his hair and Red sighs.
Green always knows just the right thing to do to make him feel like everything will be okay.
He runs the pad of his thumb over the ring of his right hand, then grips Greenâs shirt and turns his nose to breathe the other man in. The soft smell of jade and sandalwood, the sweat and ozone. He practically melts.
âRough day, huh?â Green asks and Red knows he doesnât expect an answer. He /knows/. Greenâs free hand soothes along his back, then heâs being walked backwards to the bed.
Red doesnât know what Green is going for at first, but then he slides back on the bed and motions for Red to join him.
It only takes him a second to step out of his shoes, climbing onto the bed as well and curling against Green. He rests his head on Greenâs collarbone, his nose under his chin, and he closes his eyes.
âYeah, I knew it was gonna be hard on you,â Green mumbles softly and Red can hear it in his chest, âBut we did it, we got here.â
Red tilts slightly, kissing Greenâs chin and signing what he can with his one free arm.
âI know,â Green responds, arms tightening around Red, âWho woulda thunk it, huh?â he says in what Red considers his âclassic, teasing toneâ.
Red shakes with a silent chuckle.
âYeah, yeah, well we told âem, didnât we?â Green asks and shifts to finally toe off his own shoes, âMarried⌠talk about heavy.â
Green touches Redâs hand then, touching the ring there and Red can feel him smiling.
âAlways wanted a way to show others who you belong to. Now theyâll always know.â
sbr is actually just a romcom. gyjo is so domestic and cute!!!
Gyro refuses to leave Johnny behind despite making it a point that he won't be slowed down by him
Chapter 14 - Across the Arizona Desert: Continuing on the Shortest Route
2) After being attacked, Johnny states the only one he trusts is Gyro
Also, early example of Johnny being willing to give the corpse up to save Gyro (even before Sugar Mountain!)
Chapter 27: Tusk (Part 3)
3) Gyro disobeying his father and familial tradition by giving in to his urge to save Johnny (and thereby fight like a 'true man' for what he wants)
Chapter 35: The True Man's World (Part 3)
4) Gyro putting his faith in Johnny to defeat their attacker. When Johnny thinks he's failed, he cradles Gyro's face and asks for forgiveness. (it's a major moment. to me)
Chapter 44: A Silent Way (Part 5)
5) Ok this one is just a little sus but I'm putting it in anyway: Gyro dreaming of that time he slept with one of his patients, only to immediately wake up and have a domestic scene with Johnny. For what purpose...?
Chapter 45: The Promised Land Sugar Mountain (Part 1)
6) Johnny gives up the corpse parts for Gyro (again), immediately followed by them drinking away their sorrows into the sunset. Who's doing it like them.
Chapter 48: Tubular Bells (Part 1)
7) Gyro finds the Golden Rectangle, previously described as, â⌠the foundation for every perfect structure for beauty" (Chapter 43: A Silent Way, Part 4) in Johnny eyes, and refuses to answer Johnny's question about where he's finding it. The implications of what Gyro thinks of Johnny's physical appearance are obvious.
Chapter 52: Wrecking Ball (Part 2)
8) Gyro sacrifices his hand, his only other point of reference for the Golden Rectangle, in order to save Johnny from a hit he probably could have tanked. Even Gyro looks a little surprised at himself... Also, they are all over each other this arc. Gyro is especially protective.
And, a little later:
Chapter 53: Wrecking Ball (Part 3)
9) Once it's revealed that Valentine intends to kill the rest of the racers (at least the ones who pose a threat to him), and makes an attempt on Johnny's life, Gyro attempts to convince Johnny to drop out, implying that he would drop out with him.
Of course, this is immediately followed by Johnny begging Gyro to, at the very least, help Lucy and see what she knows about the corpse parts. Seeing Johnny's distress at being so close to his goal only to have it snatched away from him convinces Gyro to stay in the race (something that will ultimately get him killed) and theorize how they can use the spin to defeat Valentine (via the stirrups). He tries to play it off but goddamn he is in love with him.
Chapter 72: Ticket to Ride (Part 2)
10) Shuiesha coloring may imply that Johnny is wearing Gyro's shirt beneath his own?? It's got the same collar and everything.
First appearance of this coloring choice is Chapter 63: 7 Days in a Week
11) Exchange of secrets no one else knows (they are each other's most important person!)
This panel in particular:
Chapter 76: D4C (Part 9)
12) And last but not least, thee set of chapter titles ever, in which Valetine attempts to bargain with Johnny to spare his life in return for bringing back Gyro. Johnny refuses, not because of any moral quandary about saving the life of an evil man, but because the Gyro brought back would not be the same. On top of that, he recognizes Valentine as a liar.
When it's all over, Johnny just breaks.
And that's the end of the chapter!
Chapters 88 and 89: Break My Heart, Break Your Heart (Parts 1 & 2)
13) Johnny's Goodbye (I like this scene more in b+w what can I say)
Chapter 95: The World of Stars and Stripes (Outro)
Obviously Johnny and Gyro have a lot of smaller moments too, but these are the ones that come to mind when I think of them!

Man, I see so many people having like no faith in Keithâs leadership abilities and so many cries of âanyone but Keith for black lion!â haha, so I just wanna point some stuff out.
See, Shiro actually has alot of nerve saying this to Keith after what happened last season..
Remember this:
Remember how no one listened to Keith here? And you know what happened?Â
They failed.Â
If Thace didnât interfere they would have all been captured by the Galra and Zarkon would have gotten Voltron.Â
Their plan sucked, and Shiro was clearly acting out of emotion, going against his own better judgement. (Because he was probably scared that whatever happened to him would happen to Allura or something, too broken about having more of his teammates captured by the Galra on his watch I dunno.)
Donât think that Shiro missed the fact that they all got out of there in one piece just by pure luck and nothing else.
Maybe heâs sayin there to Keith âdonât be like meâ or âI know youâre better than thisâ on the way to the BoM base..
And remember this:
You know what would have happened if Keith listened to Shiro? Shiro wouldnât have made it in time to the black lion and Zarkon would have gotten it, and then they would have lost Voltron.
(Maybe going against Zarkon on his own like that was rash and emotionally driven (for some mysterious reason..), but it was the right thing to do in that situation.)Â
And did you notice how everytime Shiro is out of commission (which happens ALOT), Keith immediately steps in?
Did you notice how Keith is constantly worried about Shiro and how many times he has to go âShiro are you ok?â but Shiro doesnât really do that with Keith? How Shiro always has nothing but blind faith that Keith can do anything? (compared to the other paladins too, because Shiro does believe in all of them)
(and yeah I kno Keith dun got PTSD.. and Shiro does an amazing job keeping it together despite what heâs been through.. But having a leader that freezes up so much at unexpected moments during battles is usually not exactly a safe thing for the team⌠(although he seems to get better in season 2..) And I think It might be hard to notice just how bad Shiro is doing and how seriously heâs affected by what happened to him and how he was probably not the best choice for leader at that point, like he got most of team voltron fooled Iâm sure alot of viewers were fooled aswell haha, I mean I havenât really seen many ppl say anything about Shiro not being exactly the perfect leader for Voltron after season 1 aired..)
And you kno, Iâm not even talking season two, like the way Keith is with Hunk there in âbelly of the weblumâ. Keithâs leadership abilities show so early on in the show Iâm surprised people seem to miss it
Remember this?
That whole episode was all âleader Keithâ haha
Really, I canât be the only one that during my first watch of Voltron (before I even saw the 80â˛s one) that was thinking âWhy the hell is Keith not the leader? Why is this Shiro guy the leader?â
Like yeah, Keithâs decisions are rash (although logical), and heâs a very âstrive for contactâ kind of guy, and pretty harsh on the team, but itâs obvious itâs only because he cares so much about what theyâre doing (and really wants to prove himself I guess.)
And honestly, I would feel way safer following a guy like Keith than a guy like Shiro, because Shiro just makes me worried all the time haha (and heâs so soft..) While Keith, Keith really seems like someone that can do anything. No matter how hopeless the situation is and how all the odds are against him, heâll manage to make things work somehow. Just by pure determination. AND HE MAKES SENSE. (although he does need help with figuring out ways to do things other than just facing em head on haha)
And really, I think his decisions have been better than Shiroâs so far.. (to the point I was wondering why Keith is the one who follows Shiro and not the other way around. Iâm sorry, I just dun get why he really needs Shiro besides for Shiro to hold him back, heâs clearly not depended on him and has no trouble doing anything on his own, (his problem is maybe just doing too much haha)
And this is kinda what I think Shiro sees in Keith too.Â
Like, this whole episode
That seemed to me like it was about Shiro realizing he really fucked up as a leader. They are scattered across the universe, he is dying, they dunno where the lions are and if the rest of them are even alive. Maybe in this moment Shiro was thinking âYou know what, maybe I should have listened to Keith and not gone on this mission..â
Anyway, bottom line:
I think Shiro admires Keith alot, and I think he knows Keith has something in him that he himself doesnât have, and I think he looks up to Keith just as much as Keith looks up to him.
And maybe this is exactly why Keithâs faith in him really touches him and is so important to him, because it comes from a person he really admires. Itâs different from the blind faith the other team members have in him. Keith can see his mistakes, Keith can see his weakness, and he is still able to see something in Shiro that I think makes Shiro have faith in himself.Â
And thatâs what good leaders do. They encourage and inspire people to be and do their best.Â
Kinda like what Shiro does for Keith too.. (They pretty much have an equal exchange there, but I think the âspace dadâ fanon thing has just completely blinded everyone.)
And you know, I dun think Shiro wants Keith to follow him anymore, I think he wants to follow Keithâs lead instead.
and I couldnât agree more! Keithâs got what it takes.

I feel like Green would constantly show off his wedding ring. He would try to do it lowkey at first : like placing his left hand in his face or tapping his ring on whatever he has in his hand. Then he would just be super obvious: Like âOh no god I almost lost my WEDDING RING! Red would have killed me!â And he would just shove it into peoples faces.
I also feel like he would also make it clear that heâs married to red. Like when Red just shows up heâs like âOh hey there Red, my sexy HUSBAND.â
Red thinks if this marriage is really worth it
So precious
Proposal
1. Green's so nervous about proposing that he talks about it in his sleep. Red now knows everything.
2. 'If you can beat me in a battle, I'll marry you.'
Green knows Red isn't serious, but he can't help the way his heart flutters at the thought of marrying Red.
3. They've faked five proposals as April Fool's jokes. Red wonders why Green decided to change the ring for the sixth.
Wedding Planning
1. Red wants a vanilla cake, but Green wants chocolate. They have a battle to decide on the flavor.
2. Green has everything planned down to which pair of socks he's wearing with his suit. Meanwhile, Red still can't decide if he should wear his hat during the ceremony.
3. "No, Red, we are not getting married on a fucking ice mountain."
Wedding
1. They get married in secret while on vacation.
2. They're both exhausted from the day's events, so they sneak away from the reception hall to take a nap in a dressing room.
3. Green can't stop crying while Red says his vows because he knows Red only speaks when he's serious about something.

Itâs been a while since I uploaded the Golion ost. This is the ending theme.
Even if our upbringings were different
We were linked together with strong bonds
Friendship between men
Doesnât change, wherever you go
We five will go down the same roadÂ
The last line is repeated four times.
Diavolo throws Abdul from the cliff, and all Abdul can do is fall and watch the skyâwatch the sky, and watch Polnareff, who comes tumbling down after him.
In which Abdul survives and sticks around with Polnareff and goes on with his habit of saving his life while risking his own. Go read âLike a Cloud of Fireâ, a fic by @oraora-tarotaro with art by me~Â
Thereâll be more art soon, but in the meantime you can enjoy the writing by itself
