pony tails and forcing it against its will, my friend. you have to tame it like a horse, and even then, it's stubborn.
Just had a shower, my hair is going a bit insane and I and am going thrifting. How the fuck do you wear these types of heaphones with long hair???
I'm doing fanart of Mitsuri Kanroji from Demon Slayer! I love her so so much!! But I also just bought and finished the 17th book. And omg, my heart... for those who haven't read or seen the series yet, you'll die for it. I thought it was overrated at first, but I tried reading it and my heart soared with the story!
Anyways, this is just a cleanup sketch and I'm going to start doing some test lineart and colors. I'm still learning, so I might as well test what works and not as much as I can!
A reminder for myself and others cause dear god i needed this
I made mention of this a few posts ago, but here is a full reminder from Auntie Kami, fiber artist:
It is that time of year, folks, when the fiber artists in your life need you the most. It matters not what holiday you celebrate; there are fiber artists who are, as we speak, insisting I AM GOING TO MAKE ALL THE GIFTS BECAUSE STORE-BOUGHT SUCKS. They have pre-purchased their season pass for the train to Crazy Town, and it is not round trip.
If you want to take care of the fiber artist in your life during this most manic time of year, lemme offer some suggestions:
Make sure they eat and stay hydrated. Making sure they eat an actual meal is best, but any food works at this point. Also, remind them that water exists and it isn't just to make coffee/tea.
Offer a listening ear and support when they start convulsively crying because they found a major mistake and have to undo two weeks worth of work. Although, I also suggest retreating out of the initial blast radius to avoid being collateral damage. A usual sign it is safe to approach is when they stop flailing and the flying debris of tools and fiber have settled.
Remind them to get up and stretch and walk around. Even if it's to make more coffee/tea. In fact, it is suggested you do not make those beverages for them because it is a good excuse for them to move around as they most likely have forgotten they have legs.
Remind them to sleep
Suggest they set smaller goals. Yes, it makes sense, and They KNOW it makes sense, but they will still assume you are silly for even suggesting such an idea. (Don't push it. You will only piss them off.)
Refer to what they are working on as "grandma craft". Even If they are a grandma. It is dismissive of the time and effort and money they are lovingly putting into their projects, and they will, in return, dismiss your reason for living.
EVER NEVER FOR ANY REASON AT ALL say, "You can get it cheaper at Walmart." You at that point don't just forfeit your life, you forfeit your existence in their life. You will be vaporized from their memory. You just suggested their art, their craft, their effort is lesser than fucking Walmart. You want a quick way to oblivion, then by all be this crass and demeaning. I just won't guarantee it will be painless.
Thank you for your support.

I learned about Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell when I read the first manga that was published back in 2020. I remember going into the school library like I did every morning, replacing the books I've read and brought back so I could swiftly beeline for my next books.
After I got what I needed, I decided to look at the new books display. What caught my eye first was Fangirl 1 created by Rainbow Rowell, Sam Maggs, and Gabi Nam.
So, I checked the book out. I read it. I have since loved it from the core of my heart.
After reading that HUGE CLIFFHANGER, I had to look up the rest of the series. Of course, I only came up with the one, since it was recently released to the world, but I didn't know up until that point that series releases are like rpg's. (I call them "live book series" because the story isn't officially over until we say it is. Which is displayed for the novel that was released way back in 2013 and got a manga version published seven years later.)
I did a little more digging and found out that the Manga was not only an active series of 4, but it is originally a novel! The joy and fear I had in that moment was brutal. At that point, I have read and reread the first volume quite a bit and was rightfully terrified what would happen next. But the best part answering what happened next.
I tried not to spoil it for myself. I really did. But the longer I thought about it, the more grueling it got. The second book would come out soon.... right? I check the publishing date for the second book. I gave up right then and there and borrowed the novel. LOL
I read it and cried and laughed and stressed myself from feeling Cath's stress. After finishing the novel, I had even more of an incentive to stick out the next year or two or five to finish the Manga. In those years, I got the first two Manga, got kicked to hell and back in school and figuring out what life is to me. And whenever I got back to the book, I was taught and reminded small lessons of life. because life doesn't stop, even when it feels like there should be a "happily ever after" when youre 1/8 from finishing the book.
Earlier this year, I got the novel and the anniversary edition.
And today, I FINALLY have the last two manga.
I am very proud and infinitely grateful of the people who have worked on every bit to create and support such an inspiring story. And I am proud of myself for sticking by it for four years and more to come. Thank you. Just... Thank you.
NO BUT SERIOUSLY WE MUST BE MASOCHISTS FOR HOW WE FALL FOR IT AND HATE IT AND LOVE IT.
EVERY.
TIME.
Why must writers do this…
