Batfam: what does Freakshow look like?
BabyDanny: Emo Bald Bitch :)
While de-aged, Danny stumbles into the Joker's hideout. Nothing special; it's a Clown. Well, Danny can prank him! The spirits around him all told him what they wanted to do to this clown. But no death, they don't want his ghost near Gotham, but very far away.
So Danny was causing harm with playful ghostly antics that turned the Joker's plans into comedy. Danny played pranks on the poor Joker for already one month. The Joker can't even leave the room without getting a bowling ball in his balls or a stumple to fall on his face. The money he stole is gone, the food he eats is rotten, or worse, his car is frozen solid, or his weapons are fake guns.
Much to the amusement of Gotham.
Then, one day, an angry joker and the police see who gave him all the problems. It was a meta! Dressed in a Bat Onesie.
I love this soooooo much ;-;
For the Dona AU, does anything change with the China Town episode with the spirit guy or the episode during the farmhouse arc with the demon car?
Also I know you’ve talked about how Karai and Leo feel about Donnie getting almost (from what I remember anyway) blown up but how does Splinter feel? Seeing his youngest daughter in such a critical state caused by his eldest daughter? Does bro get flashbacks to Tang Shen and the night of the fire? Or even flashbacks to his past relationship with his Shedder since they were brothers?
Also does Donnie ever feel like she has to live up to this ‘expectation’ that is/was Miwa before they find out about Karai? Does Donnie feel the need to be a good daughter or does she feel like a replacement or replaceable because of that or not? Idk I just thought about that.
I also keep thinking about how would Casey and Donnie end up together if they did and how the others would react? Like how would that play out if it does? What would be their dynamic?
I have been loving this btw and hope you are taking care of yourself
I hope you know that you are the reason that I lie awake at night and stare at the roof wondering what angst I inadvertently created.
I saw this ask and had to distance myself from the world to stare at it and contemplate just what I’m putting these people through in an AU that’s SUPPOSED to make things better.
Thank you for your contribution. I have no regrets.
This is PART 1 of this Ask because PART 2 is really long so I decided to split them up so I can focus wholly on one of the two topics.
"Also I know you’ve talked about how Karai and Leo feel about Donnie getting almost (from what I remember anyway) blown up but how does Splinter feel? “Sensei!”
All of his sons cries overlap, panicked and high as their feet slap against the ground. He immediately notes the missing voice from their call, looking toward them as they slow to step down into the pit.
“My children,” He breathes as he turns to them, eyes widening as he watches them lower their sister to the ground. Raphael pants as he breaks away from her, looking towards him with a harsh panic, explanation coming in a chopped words, “Factory! Explosion!”
Splinter lets this sink in, scanning Michelangelo’s worried eyes as he supports her. Leonardo’s hand rests against her chest to track every breath and his eyes do not leave his sister.
There are burns along her head and arms. Agony painted along every ridge muscle and shallow breath. She is in pain, scrapped and bruised from debris, little bits of metal in her skin. His brain twists the sight before him, sprinkling little reminders that it had been wood that had fallen, metal that had caused the worst damage, blood that had soaked through the three scars forever embedded in his mind.
April shifts beside him and he recalls where he is. Nobody in his arms, a fire left long behind, and his daughter suffering before him.
He feels the urge to go her, pull her in his arms, demand to know what happened- but that did not help Tang Shen. It will not help her. “Take her to the dojo. I will prepare the healing mantras.”
Two of his sons obey. Leonardo does not move, calling after him. He’s a distraction, but something in his voice halts him anyway.
“It’s my fault.”
Splinter inhales, sharp. He now sees the guilt that he'd mistaken as sorrow, reprimand plastered to his tongue.
He will not release it. Not yet.
He waits for an explanation.
“Karai and I- we were taking down Shredder’s operations. I thought we could end this! I’m-” He looks to the side, eyes squeezed shut, before they drop to the floor. “I’m sorry.”
“Yoshi, Saki, please! You are brothers!”
“Go, Shen.”
Splinter exhales softly and turns away. He goes to the dojo and trusts that Leonardo will follow. It’s not until he nears the scrolls that he finds the right words. “I have always warned you of vengeance. What it could cause. What it can take from you. Your honor. Your sense.”
“Saki! This whole place is coming down!”
“Then we shall both perish here!”
“I am disappointed in you, Leonardo.” He pauses, looking at the scroll in his hand, before he lowers it. “But I am proud you had the courage to admit your wrongdoing. For many… It is not so simple.”
“You only dishonor yourself! Always jealous, always scheming, always filled with hate!”
“If I had told the others what I was up to, they never would have gone into that building.” Leonardo scans his expression as he stands, waiting for the verdict, too focused on the past.
Splinter redirects him. “It is right that you should feel pain for your mistakes. But it is one thing to regret bad decisions after they are made. A leader must foresee how bad decisions lead to bad results.”
“PLEASE! STOP!”
His son follows his gaze to his sister and then bows his head.
“I’m sorry, Sensei.”
“I am not the one who needs an apology.”
He steps away to let him think his words over and to focus on his sister, so that Leonardo will be able to give one. So that he will have the opportunity for forgiveness that Splinter never got to know.
The lair is too quiet. April volunteers to check up on his sons, eyes lingering on her friend before she resolutely turns to leave.
Splinter is grateful that she does, for not long after, Donatello stirs.
“My daughter,” he breaths, light flickering from his hands. He goes immediately to cup her face, searching glazed eyes for the light that may have been stolen by the fire. “You are safe. I am here.”
She blinks, rapid and confused, as tears track down to Splinter’s hand. She whimpers, hand clamping over his wrist. “Pap-aaaah!”
“Breathe,” He soothes as she cries out. She squeezes, hard, moisture falling to his fur. “I-It hurts! What- why- why doh-”
“You are injured.” He brushes her face. “Burned. But you are healing.”
She only stares through him, disoriented and scared, even while leaning into his hand. Another whimper shrivels in her throat.
His eyes water, without his want or consent. He has no reason to be upset. She is alive. She needs him to be strong. “Rest, my daughter. You will not know this same pain when you awaken.”
She tries to move, lifting her leg and dropping it, gasping in air when it touches the ground. Her cry is drowned by a whine and he wishes there was a way to take her pain and make it his own.
“Silly ninja. It is not a father’s job to take the pain, my Yoshi. Only to soothe it. Here, let me.”
“Sleep, precious one.” He whispers in the same way that he had years ago when days were long and little turtle hands refused to still. “Papa will not let the world move far without you.”
Her fear lulls, tempered by the gentle safety of the past, a tiny chirp sliding from her tongue. He gives her that moment of calm and then touches the pressure point to knock her out. He gently lays her back down on the mat, resuming the mantra with steady hands.
April comes in to stand on Donatello’s other side.
“They’re not in the lair.”
Splinter gives no response. She kneels down.
They stay by Donatello’s side.
"I thought I could make this about taking down Shredder's organization. But it's too much of a risk going after petty targets just to spite him. I promise, I will no longer go after Shredder's possessions. I'll go after Shredder himself."
The hope that had begun to flicker in his chest dies as Miwa removes her blade from its sheath. She does not look back, leaving them all in the wake of her promise, and Splinter finds his hand outstretched.
He does not know what to do. He does not know what to say.
She saw the price of revenge, and she's still choosing to move forward. How can he stop this? How can he make her see sense?
He doesn't get to decide. A blur of motion charges past.
"NO!"
He sees the impact when Leonardo collides with her. He grabs at the blade as she whirls in surprise, catching her wrist to avoid getting it caught between them. They fall backward, with her taking the blunt of their weight and Leonardo's fury holding them down.
"Leo!" All of his children cry out as Splinter moves to their side, pausing when he spots the fury in his glare. Not one of confusion or anger, but of fear and hurt and understanding, with a protective bite that promises no mercy while caught in sharp teeth.
"Are. You. INSANE?"
This cannot end well.
Splinter should intervene, but for once, he does not.
He motions for the others to stand down as well, watching his daughter's face flick between skin and scales, and lets Leonardo have his say. "We've done this before, Karai! YOU'VE done that before! You ran off to go face him and you got LOCKED UP! It took us MONTHS to get you out! Countless nights of risking our lives for YOU! And now you want to- what, do it all again?"
"I will not be alone this time!" She manages to shove him off, getting to her feet and stumbling away. Miwa looks back, towards Splinter, and he keeps his gaze cool, offering no protection. "I have the clan!"
"Shredder has faced down many armies and fought many battles." Splinter says. "But you would know that, my daughter."
She glares, "I'm doing what has to be done!"
"That's what you said about the warehouses." Leo stalks up to her. "That's what you said about the money. That's what you told me before you went to blow up some stupid factory as if your last mission didn't get your sister BLOWN UP."
"I didn't tell her to go in there-!"
"YOU PLANTED THE BOMBS!" Leonardo's scream cracks at the last word, fists shaking with the pain of almost losing a loved one, eyes clear with the knowledge of how such loss can impact a soul. He takes a heavy breath and the room holds it with him.
He looks at Splinter, and their father nods his encouragement.
"We are leaders." He declares, strong and pronounced. "We are born leaders of our clan, but also of a family. We were selfish and our siblings paid for it. Our ONLY little sister paid for it."
Their gazes travel to her. She is not watching the conversation, hands pressed over the sides of her head, entrapped in a steady hold by the youngest. Her eyes are not visible, squeezed shut in pain, and Splinter's heart aches to see it.
"I..." All attention travels to Miwa. "I never wanted her to be hurt."
"But she was." Leonardo holds his head high. "And instead of learning from it, you are repeating old mistakes. I thought better of you. I thought you'd be better than that Karai."
He turns away from her, steps as silent as the dojo as he travels back to his sister's side. He kneels next to Michelangelo, takes her hand, and wraps his other hand safely around it as she squeezes his fingers.
"I will not risk my family for you again." He says coolly, holding tight. The sound crosses the space with even volume. "If you choose to go alone, you will truly be alone. Do not count on me to bail you out."
"Leo..." She tries, but Splinter does not let her continue. "He is right."
She looks to him, defeat painting eyes that have seen more horrors than any child should know. "I have warned my children against walking into Saki's hands too many times. But I cannot stop them from making their own choices, anymore than I can stop you."
He takes a breath. "You act as if you have no choice. You act as if you are on your own. You are not. You are not alone anymore, Miwa. You are not bound by Saki's vices. You have a family that has fought long and hard for you to come home, and yet you would choose his anger over their love."
"Father." Her fists tighten. Her voice cracks. "He ruined my life."
"He ruined much on that faithful day," Splinter admits as he approaches her, gently cupping her face. He tries not to see Shen in her teary eyes. "But our lives are not yet over. He cannot take anything else from us if we do not let him. Leave his influence behind. Your mother... She would not want this for you."
"I don't-" She pulls her arms to her chest, closing her eyes to bow her head. "I don't know how."
"What do you think we're here for?" Raphael demands with a dismissive bat of his hand at the open air. "Decoration?"
"Let us help you." Splinter translates. "Let us teach you."
"C'mon sis." Michelangelo says, smile weak but genuine. "We deal with April and Dona every day. You'll be a piece of cake."
"Hey," A baffled April says at the same moment that Donatello weakly hits his plastron. Michelangelo laughs, Raphael snickers, and Leonardo shakes his head to hide his smile.
She pulls away, and Splinter lets her.
"Okay." Miwa announces with a smirk, though her confidence does not reach her eyes. "I'll try."
Splinter puts his hands on his cane and nods, "It is all we ask."
Also does Donnie ever feel like she has to live up to this ‘expectation’ that is/was Miwa before they find out about Karai? Does Donnie feel the need to be a good daughter or does she feel like a replacement or replaceable because of that or not? Idk I just thought about that.
Definitely during her younger years. It’s one thing to be the adopted sons who don't comprehend depression and death knowing that he spends a decent amount of time mourning his daughter and wife.
It’s another to be an adopted daughter who doesn’t comprehend depression and death who’s watching him distance himself sometimes to mourn a different daughter that she’s never met when she’s standing right there.
Thankfully (from a Donnie-development POV), Miwa ‘never’ got the chance to grow up. So there isn’t actually any notes to take to fill her shoes and meet expectations. Whenever she actively tries to be like Tang Shen (as she understands her mom from his stories), it only seems to depress Splinter more.
On the day that Splinter gives them their weapons, she entirely expects to be given the one that was meant for Miwa. Then he hands her the bo staff and tells her that it’s perfect for her, and she doesn’t know what to think. It’s the first time that she’s completely confident that he sees Donatello instead of Miwa when he looks at her.
Whenever she needs a reminder of that, she looks to her staff.
By the time that she goes up to the surface, she’s grown to be comfortable in that part of her place in the family.
…And then they meet Karai.
Now, if this does revamp her worries about her place in the family, it’s never directly mentioned in any episodes. Donnie’s main issue with Karai is that she’s always let her imagination run away with her big sister’s image, drafting what Miwa would be like if she survived.
And Karai. Is not the person who Donnie imagined her to be.
"I have been loving this btw and hope you are taking care of yourself"
Right back at you!! Thanks for the Ask!!!
In MCD I feel like Enki would have pointy ears and they would move depending on the emotion he is feeling. Like a cat or a dog ears do.
OMG I AM EATING G THIS UP
also just imagining their second date and the cute romantic moments between Danny and Talia it’s just too cute 🥰
Also Dick about to get his ass handed to him from Barbara, we love Barbara in this house
Not Bruce having some emotional intelligence and actually being kinda chill about the boyfriend thing
Loving how your writing the characters, feels very in character and natural especially with the conversations and thought process for them
PREV/NEXT MASTERPOST
It is around seven p.m. when Batman walks out from the zeta tube in the Batcave, nursing a throbbing headache from the long day of listening to reports from the other members of the Justice League and complaints from some unionized staff of the maintenance crew. All Batman wants right now is to get rid of his cowl for a couple hours until patrol, eat something delicious, take a shower, then take a two-hour nap and finally go punch criminals to relief some stress. He comes out form the hidden door that takes one to the Batcave and walks into the manor, with his left hand he takes away the cowl form his head and with his right hand he combs his hair. He walks down the hallways and when he crosses before the drawing room’s open door, he sees something he didn’t think he would ever see again in his life: there, kneeling with his face to the wall and his arms lifted up is none other than Jason. Massive, tank of a man Jason, grounded like when he was twelve years old and Alfred found him smoking for the first time.
In silence Bruce nods his head once, he knows Jason is not allowed to talk right now, so he does the sensitive thing and keeps walking towards the kitchen to ask Alfred why Jason is in trouble this time.
When Bruce walks into the kitchen, Talia is already sitting on her usual seat at the small rectangle wood table that they usually use – the big dining room is only used for occasions where a lot of friends and/or guests are also invited –. She’s wearing a pair of loose sport pants and a sweaty sports crop-top – which indicates Bruce that his daughter has recently finished her evening training –, her hair is up in her trademark ponytail, showing off her hidden undercut and her ear piercings that she doesn’t wear at school. Talia is sitting in a perfect lotus flower position on her chair, eating a falafel wrap and some breaded tofu sticks. Alongside Talia is Alfred, drinking a cup of tea and also eating falafels, but he is doing it with a fork and dipping them in tzatziki. There is no Duke in sight, which means that the boy must be in his room or doing homework in the manor’s library.
“Alfred, has Duke eaten already? And, why is Jason grounded?” The father of many asks as he walks further into the area.
“Welcome home, master Bruce.” Alfred greets as he stands up from his seat. “Young master Duke has already eaten and is currently doing homework in his room. Today for dinner before patrol I have prepared some falafels, tzatziki and some grilled lamb. Please have a seat.” The gentlemanly butler says as he walks towards the cooking area to prepare Bruce’s food. “And as for why master Jason is grounded, well, that is something that miss Talia can tell you.”
Talia glares at Alfred and Alfred only lifts one elegant eyebrow as answer. Talia huffs in defeat and then glances at her father, who is now sitting before her, right next to where Alfred had been sitting seconds ago. The teen girl straightens her posture on her seat, she puts her feet down and clasps her hands together over the table, her eyes are closed as she takes a deep breath and a smile decorates her elegant features. When Talia opens her beautiful green eyes, she pins Bruce to his seat.
“Father, I have acquired myself a boyfriend.” She drops the bomb and her eyes shine likes the brightest of stars at the statement.
Boy-friend?
“And today we had our first date.”
Boy-friend?!
“It was going to be perfect, father. He had planned a most lovely day… but then the heathen that is your second son, under the command of your firstling, dared to ruin it with his presence!” Talia finally snarls.
BOYFRIEND!
“Pennyworth said that I am not allowed to kill them to defend my most beloved’s honor so he grounded this one… but rest assure father, I will have my vengeance over both of them.” Talia promises and then goes back to finish her food.
“Boyfriend…” Bruce mumbles as Alfred puts his food in front of him. “You, uhm, never mentioned fancying someone.”
“Yes, well, I wasn’t expecting him to reciprocate my feelings.” Talia admits as she plays with some tofu sticks and a lovely blush paints her cheeks.
“Oh, well in that case I’m happy for you, darling.” Lies, Bruce is crying tears of blood inside. “And who is the lucky young man?” Please, please, let it be someone that I like. “Is he from school? The Teen Titans?”
“From school, he has a scholarship in the science program.”
Bruce feels his heart drop, he is so distressed he doesn’t notice Talia omitting the boy’s name. With great struggle the man takes a deep breath. “I’m happy for you, sweetheart.” He finally says and it surprises him to notice that yes, he is happy for his daughter. When Talia came to them, she was so indoctrinated into what basically was cult thinking, but know look at her, an independent young woman who is emotionally aware enough – or well, as emotionally aware as any teenage girl – to start and experience romance outside of the standards of the league of shadows and the vigilante life.
Talia and Alfred exchange a glance, both surprised by Bruce’s positive answer.
“You are?” She asks as she looks at Bruce.
“Honey…” Bruce says as he starts to cut the lamb into pieces. “When you arrived home you weren’t that much in touch with your emotions or new much about the world… not that I can say that I have a great emotional intelligence though, but now I look at you and see how much you have grown, not only as a member of society but also as your own person; I have had the pleasure of seeing how you have become a capable young woman. I trust you Talia, and I trust that if you have seen something in this young man then he may deserve some benefit of the doubt.” He finishes talking and puts a piece of lamb and falafel in his mouth.
“Thank you, father.” Talia answers, eyes sparkling and voice full of emotion.
“Just remember, princess, your brothers only wanted to make sure you were safe, they didn’t mean to actually bother you.”
“Tt, so, no vengeance?” Talia deflates.
“No vengeance, Talia.” Bruce says before giving a sip to his glass of water. “Besides, Alfred must have already banned cookie rights from both of them, don’t you think that’s punishment enough?”
“Tt, fine.”
“Why don’t you better tell me a bit about him?”
Talia rolls her eyes at Bruce’s ‘subtle’ attempt of getting information out of her, but since he is been nice Talia will grace him with some truths. “He is in my grade and we share some classes together but he is in the science program so after lunch his schedule changes, we usually eat together in the school’s gardens…”
The rest of the small dinner, father and daughter amicably talk, the echo of the conversation reaching Jason’s ears (don’t worry, Alfred frees Jason from his punishment soon after and also feed him, but there won’t be dessert for him for a very long time).

Jazz feels an immediate relief as soon as she opens the door of her home.
When they had first arrived to this strange realm full to the brim with corrupted ecto she and the remains of her family had taken shelter in an abandoned building in what now she is the Narrows, if it weren’t for Dan’s massive frame and aggressive nature and Ellie’s feral demeanor the family of mostly teens would have passed a very bad time. Jazz later learns through Constantine and Zatanna that actually they just give off an odd vibe, that they are too much to look at. If someone looks for too long at any of the Nightingales some may feel like they are watching directly at the abyss, feel like they are been swallowed by the darkness and strangeness, other will feel that they are too ethereal, like the beauty of a fae, something unreal and strange that shouldn’t be looked at for too long. Only those touched by dead, those that have a very strong will, or those who wield magic can withstand their gaze and presence for long.
“It’s like an acquired taste.” Constantine tells Jazz once when she asked him how come he can be with them for days if he just said staying for long periods of time with them feels weird. “Sure, at first, I almost peed my pants when I saw Dan and Elle in their non-human forms, but the more I share space with you lot it gets easier. Also, I’ve dealt with demons and whatnot long enough, darling. I’ve looked at the abyss before, you guys are nothing particularly new.”
“You mean you fucked the abyss!” Dan screams from the room he was cleaning back then, followed by Elle’s witch cackling.
She had laughed so hard she woke up the sleeping Danny from his afternoon nap. They had to buy new glass for the windows.
The British man could be a bit crude sometimes, but Jazz is immensely grateful to him, Zatanna and Batman. If it weren’t for them, she could have never got the good quality, fake papers for her and her family, she could have never applied for the Martha Wayne Foundation’s assistance for teen mothers and the Wayne’s Foundation help for homeless youth. It was thanks to those helps that she got her G.E.D. and could go to college and become who she is today, it is thanks to those helps that Dan and Elle also could get their own G.E.D.s, that Elle could go to night school and get her par-time job, that they could safe money for Dan to open up his bar and that Danny could go to school and live his second life happily and safe. Jazz is so immensely grateful she would, without a doubt, kill for Connie, Tanna and Batman if she ever saw them in danger.
Nowadays Jazz, Elle and Danny live in a rather large apartment in a three-story building in old Gotham, near to the boarder with the Diamond District. Dan lives in the apartment on top of his business, it is one of those loft-apartments. Every night, before opening time, Dan visits his sisters and nephew to eat something with them before work.
Usually, Jazz doesn’t work of Saturdays but today she needed to finish some administrative work and also check with the nurses the new doses of some patients; she certainly didn’t expect to take so long. So, when the warm light of the living room greets her and she finds Elle and Danny play fighting her heart soars.
“Hey, guys.”
“Jazz! You’re not gonna believe it!” Elle exclaims as he locks Danny in a complicated jiu-jitsu lock on top of the rugged floor of the living room. “Danny’s got his first girlfriend!”
Girlfriend! “Oh sweety~!” Jazz coos as she drops her stuff on the floor and proceeds to join the ball on the living room. “Your first girlfriend~!” She can feel the happy tears gather in her eyes.
Dan, Ellie and her have worked so hard to raise Danny, to give him the life he deserved after what happened in Amity Park – after what the G.I.W. did, after what Jack and Madeline did –. They all deserved this peace, they earned it – and she is going to rip to shreds anybody that dears try take it away from them –.
“It’s the Wayne girl.” Ellie adds while Danny struggles. “You should have seen him! He became a damn supernova for like a whole minute! I have it in video!”
“We have to call Dan! We must celebrate!” Jazz says as she incorporates herself and cleans the happy tears away.
“Already done! He’s on his way! He said he’s gonna let Danny drink a beer!”
“Really?!” Danny exclaims at the same time that Jazz goes: “No he won’t!”

Later that night during patrol, Nightwing’s comms buss to life with a very angry:
“What is this nonsense I’m hearing that you send Jason to crash Talia’s FIRST DATE with her new boyfriend?!” Barbara growls at her own boyfriend.
NOTES:
Batman/Bruce knows that the Nightingales are not from around there. But it will take sometime before he finds out who is Tali’s boyfriend.
The Nightingales don’t know that The Waynes are the Bats and the birds, but they do know that the Waynes are extremely liminal. They think it is because of the same reason people from Amity Park are extremely liminal.
Constantine and Bruce are going to have a heart attack when they find out that Danny and Talia are dating.
Prompt: Gotham Baby Switch Mystery (DCXDP)
Gotham City is in chaos. Major breaking news has just surfaced: a nurse or doctor (your pick) has been involved in switching the identities of nearly 200 babies over the course of their career. Gotham PD, working overtime alongside other police departments, has been investigating the swaps. The authorities now have a list of affected families, and the shocking implications are that the child you’ve cared for, loved, and raised with all your heart may not actually be yours. Worse yet, the child you buried may also have been someone else’s.
Among the families affected? The Wayne family. And, understandably, the Batfamily is freaking out. The questions are piling up: Does this mean we have a brother or sister out there in the world? Why hasn’t Bruce told us about this? Chaos ensues.
Bruce Wayne, however, is left with only one certainty: the child he and Talia al Ghul had together, a baby born prematurely. The child spent days in the ICU, and the doctors were hopeful, but ultimately, the baby passed away. That tragic event had driven a wedge between Bruce and Talia, and she cut ties with him. When she became pregnant with Damian, Talia did everything in her power to ensure that her second child would survive to term, determined not to lose another baby like their first.
Faced with the turmoil of this new revelation, Bruce does the only thing he can think of: he calls Talia. He tells her about the baby swap scandal and asks if, given the news, she’d like to meet the child who might be their lost son or daughter. Talia, understandably, is furious. Her emotions boil over. The trauma of burying her child, only to now be told that the baby may not have been hers at all, is too much to bear. Her first instinct is to kill the person responsible for causing this pain.
Still, Talia decides to take Bruce up on his offer. If the League of Assassins and Batman work together to gather information, she wants to know the truth. And of course, Damian has just discovered that he may have an older sibling—and he’s determined to meet them first. He’s not going to let anyone else in the family get to them first, calling dibs on being the first to see the once presumed-dead sibling.
Two months had passed, and there was still no new information about where in the world Bruce and Talia’s child was. However, since the news had broken in the U.S., many of Bruce’s friends had stepped in to help. Lex Luthor and Oliver Queen suggested that Bruce's child might have taken a DNA test, as it was becoming increasingly popular among adopted or orphaned individuals who wanted to find their birth parents or potential siblings—whether through sperm donation or other means.
That’s when they discovered that a 14-year-old kid from a small town in Illinois had done a DNA test. This was how Bruce, Talia, and the Bat family found out that their lost sibling—whom they all assumed was a boy—was alive. The confusion had arisen because, when she took the test, Danny had used her nickname, Danny Fenton, rather than her full name, Danielle Fenton, which led everyone to assume she was male. In contrast, Jazz, her older sibling, had written her full name—Jasmine Fenton—on her own test. So, when the Bat family found the results, they expected a boy but were unaware that Danny was, in fact, a girl.
However, Danny and Jazz’s parents, Jack and Maddie Fenton, had never opened the letter containing the letter explain the whole affair. . It had been sent to the Fenton household, but it was discarded as junk mail, with the Fentons assuming it was another complaint about their family, specifically Jack and Maddie’s eccentric, often controversial, scientific endeavors. No one realized the importance of the letter until much later.
The test results showed two key revelations that shocked both Danny and Jazz. First, the two were not biologically related at all. They were not sisters by blood. Second, the test revealed that one of Danny’s biological parents had Middle Eastern ancestry. This was a detail that Danny hadn’t known, nor had she ever suspected.
Meanwhile, as Danny was undergoing a strange and painful transformation, gaining her ghost powers and becoming a half-ghost, she unknowingly shared this moment with a significant event taking place far from Amity Park. On the other side of the world, John Constantine was battling demons. During one such fight, a particular demon expressed an intense fear, saying, “Are we really going through with this? I thought Lady Gotham would never agree to it. Hell, most of us demons don’t want to deal with her wrath.”
Constantine, intrigued, asked, “Why would a demon like you be afraid of Lady Gotham? I’ve met Batman and his insane family, and honestly, half the time, I don’t even believe they’re mortal. But what does Batman have to do with you? He doesn’t even know you.”
The demon paused, clearly shaken. “There was an event where Cronus ( Clockworks) called together all the demons, all the powerful beings, into the infinite realms. During that meeting, Cronus ( Clockworks) revealed one truth: the Ghost King will wake from his slumber. And only a warrior—not from the land of the living, nor from the Infinite realm—will be able to defeat him. This event will happen in every timeline Cronus has seen. But the parentage of the warrior changes with each timeline. This time, the warrior’s parentage is what scares us. Nobody wants to see the wrath of Lady Gotham.”
Constantine narrowed his eyes, sensing the gravity in the demon’s words. “What are you talking about?”
The demon continued, fear lacing its voice. “The decision that was made—bringing this individual, this warrior, into the fight—has caused a ripple effect across the ancient realms. Some of us, those who are eternal, those who have never known death, have already overstepped. Even some of the observers—beings who are supposed to remain neutral—have meddled. Now we have to deal with the consequences of our actions. And it’s not just us. It’s the entire infinite realm. We’re all doomed. Let us pray, Constantine, that the Ghost King never awakens. For when he does, and the warrior defeats him in single combat... that will be when all of our fears come to fruition. It will be the beginning of the end.”
Constantine’s stomach turned as the weight of the demon’s words settled in. “You’re serious, aren’t you?” he muttered under his breath.
“Deadly serious,” the demon replied. “What they’ve done… is beyond repair. And the worst part is, they didn’t even realize it. The actions of the living—specifically Lady Gotham and her vigilantes—have overstepped a boundary. The warriors of Gotham, the protectors, the police, the citizens—even the Joker—are all unknowingly playing a part in this colossal mistake. It wasn’t Darkside, or any of the other cosmic threats or even Supernatural threats that you and those Heroes have faced, that will bring about the end. NO It’s this one misstep. One moment of carelessness. One action, and now it’s too late.”
Constantine stood there, his mind racing. “This prophecy... It’s not just about one person, is it? It's about the whole damn city, the whole damn world.”
The demon nodded grimly. “Gotham is the key. And once the warrior rises, once the wrath of Lady Gotham is unleashed, nothing will stop it. Cronus himself is holding an emergency meeting about this, trying to figure out how to deal with it. And let me tell you—things are not looking good for anyone.”
Constantine cursed under his breath. He realized that the situation was far worse than he could have ever imagined. If the demon was right, and this prophecy was truly tied to Gotham, then they were all in serious trouble. And what terrified Constantine the most was the thought of Batman finding out that someone—someone he loved—was being manipulated, consciously or not. Batman didn’t care about the methods or the reasons; if anyone he cared about was caught up in a scheme like this, the consequences would be catastrophic.
“God help us,” Constantine muttered, more to himself than to the demon. “Because if this gets back to Gotham… none of us are getting out of this alive.”
So if this post gets a lot of likes I will make a part 2 continuing the story. Because this is something that has been stuck in my mind I just want to share it.
A lot of people around me are having kids and every day it becomes more apparent that hitting your children to punish them is insane because literally everything can be a horrible punishment in their eyes if you frame it as such.
Like, one family makes their toddler sit on the stairs for three minutes when he hits his brother or whatever. The stairs are well lit and he can see his family the whole time, he’s just not allowed to get up and leave the stairs or the timer starts over. He fucking hates it just because it’s framed as a punishment.
Another family use a baseball cap. It’s just a plain blue cap with nothing on it. When their toddler needs discipline he gets a timeout on a chair and has to put the cap on. When they’re out and about he just has to wear the cap but it gets the same reaction. Nobody around them can tell he’s being punished because it’s in no way an embarrassing cap, but HE knows and just the threat of having to wear it is enough.
And there isn’t the same contempt afterwards I’ve seen with kids whose parents hit them. One time the kid swung a stick at my dog, his mother immediately made him sit on the stairs, he screamed but stayed put, then he came over to my dog and gently said “Sorry Ellie” and went back to playing like nothing happened, but this time without swinging sticks at the nearby animals.
