4th assignment for the zBrush class. Kudos to the oldies out there who know which 80s arcade game inspired this! Still lots of work/improvements to be done, but I had lots of fun making this one. I'm really loving zBrush... and there's still so much to learn. \( ° A °)/ For the next assignment, I think I'll just add more characters to the narrative, and slowly build on the story. Spoiler: Used to play this game called TwinBee in the arcades back in the late 80s, (6th grade?) and I remember always doodling them in class (specifically Ms. Javarta's science class). It was a really cool and simple game but with lots of personality. I liked that when your ship got damaged, he would lose his limbs. You'd then have to wait for a repair bot to give you new ones. Really great attention to detail and nuances that defined the better games back then. #twinbee #konami #zbrush
Accidentally made a book cover while practicing dragon drawings. Inspired by the golden dragons in the game, Day of Dragons (available in Steam!) and just dragons in general of course.
Came home to this. I think my stuff comes alive when I'm not home because I don't remember setting them up like that at all. I am BEEwildered, but I'm glad they're having a moment.
Big guns.
A simpler view of this girl: http://boxyheadbry.tumblr.com/post/62406638167/kaprrsschhh-partly-inspired-by-the-last-of-us
with some costume edits, to make sure it doesn't fall apart when she's jumping around like that. >_>
Stayed away from the shiny this time around though.
In the City Under the Sea
Working title? This one was fun, even if the tea shop I was in reached a decibel of over 9000. Jengga + high school kids + caffeine on a Saturday night = @_@
Thank you earphones.
Also, now available as a 16x20 inch print:

Another boss for the game, but this time not in Spine. Good ol' Flash, this is (now Animate CC). It was in the same folder so I just plopped it in. Though, I do think I should start posting stuff more often, just to keep me drawing. #animateCC #flashanimation #gameBoss #blart #clickerheroes2 (at Antarctica) https://www.instagram.com/p/BplkL1XlljC/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=qv6v1tnanzbz
08 - Just a foot.
Skeleton based on an emu, but I just gave it different type of scales.
Did you know that scientists have forced a chicken to grow feathers instead of scales on its feet by altering one gene?
We're just a bunch of scripts, switches, and sliders.
Hwe hwe hwe. Rough animation.
Scene I:
Wherein a narwhal feels dejected, in a bar full of humans who only see her as a horned aberration - a freak show. And yet... someone approaches her.
"There is more to you than just a horn. I know it." ...
A continuation of a series that I originally started as oil paintings, that were in turn inspired by the book Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman. I’ve always loved doors, doorways, and the hallways in between, and that story had some special doors in it. Aren’t books doors?
Portals, windows, and moongates that lead to places other than here are fascinating. Even now when I go between two posts on the sidewalk, the ones holding up a sign, I imagine that I somehow crossover to a world different from where I once was, but still very similar.
One of these days I’ll come across a paper airplane under those posts.
