So, I hope you read through this because I put a lot of time and effort into analysing Gojo’s character and deciding whether I deemed him a Narcissist or a Sociopath. And I’ve come to the conclusion that he is a Disempathetic High Functioning Sociopath.

A high functioning Sociopath can often be mistaken for a psychopath because of their ability to hide their violent tendencies and mimic others emotions, mostly in the form of manipulation or exploitation. However it’s important to note, in comparison, psychopaths are organised, calculating, clever and they are never irresponsible compared to their Sociopath counter part.

I’d also like to add that sociopaths get very easily bored and sometimes have a form of ADD.

It’s also important to note that every Sociopath will show some form of each of these symptoms, but the scales of how drastic their symptoms are will vary from person to person.

Sociopaths are less inclined to break the law if they are threatened with severe punishment.

Also, not all Sociopaths can form emotional attachments, I’d just like you all to keep that in mind.

Also, Psychopaths and Sociopaths are both types of Antisocial Personality Disorders, and they will share a lot of characteristics in common with each other except for a few defining differences.

I would also like to state that; yes Gojo is capable of forming an emotional attachment albeit it’s very difficult. He is less inclined to cheat if he has an emotional attachment to you. Though it’s nearly impossible to create an intimate relationship with a sociopath, but it’s possible nonetheless. Also, for you to have a healthy relationship he needs; mental health medication (depending on the psychiatrist), psychotherapy, cognitive therapy, behavioural therapy and I’d also recommend couples counseling to prevent any toxic behaviour.

I also don’t think he’s a Narcissist because;

a) Narcissists care very much about themselves and will never do anything that could possibly put them in harms way

b) They are usually never intentionally manipulative or exploitative of others

c) They do have some semblance of empathy

I also think that Sukuna is the Hostile Sociopath but I might leave that for a different post.
