Let's all give some love for this lovely lady today! Ms. Glorier has been working for #homedepot (store 747)for 20+ years! Today she managed to color match the paint for the bathroom, even after a year of mod resets and new paint colors. I am so thankful for the people in my town like Ms. Glorier. They keep me sane! 😊

New shoes😍 My mum sent me these for Easter and I am totally crushing on them! 🦊❤👠

The Laundry Room is finished (for now 😉) and I am now in the process of planning and designing my next project! This one took me a little longer than I expected because I had to paint the curtain rod by hand, since I ran out of metallic silver spray paint (which would have sped up the process). The curtains are made from a handkerchief and the towels are cut up from old wash cloths that I was going to throw out. The washer and dryer are from @ogdolls and were purchased @target The small accessories are from OG and MLA sets. They are the OG Car Wash set, the OG Laundry Day set, and the MLA Cleaning Caddy set from @walmart I made the dryer sheet box, and dryer sheets, from an actual dryer sheet box. The lamp is a flow-in-the-dark lamp from @dollartree Marble paper is Recollections Scrapbook Paper is from @michaelsstores and the wood plank and brick paper is @americancrafts scrapbook paper from @joann_stores The blue paper and white floral paper is from @hobbylobby from over 10 years ago. and in the interest of fairness, I’d like to investigate these claims

the angle of garnet’s left arm makes it so she can’t be holding amethyst. it looks like she may be holding pearl or watermelon steven, but let’s take a closer look

nope! stevenmelon has got it covered.  three points of contact, looks good. garnet’s right hand is nowhere in sight. anyway, we can see she’s not holding pearl’s hand when pearl reaches for jasper.

so i’m going to go ahead and conclude that she isn’t using her hands to support pearl, amethyst, or watermelon steven.  but we can’t actually SEE her hands, so I contend that her hands were otherwise occupied. here’s an artistic interpretation of how, and with what:

Easter was nice this year. Leocadia's aunt cooked Easter dinner. I got to see my nephews and Leocadia had a blast. But something has been bugging me about my interactions with people Sunday. I always feel obligated to blend in, to be pleasant. For me, that can be a lot of work and is physically and emotionally draining. A family member, at one point, was having difficulty get up from a sitting position on the floor and I suggested trying yoga. She laughed and asked if I had done it. I said yes, I did it for years, and my last class was at xmas. I've done yoga for years and I'm still limber enough to do some difficult poses well, despite the fact that I'm not skinny. Thet challenged me they told me to prove it. They didn't believe me. And I was expected to immediately start doing yoga poses for these people without centering myself.😑 Now, this should have raised red flags and questions then, but being me, I wasn't thinking about that, just trying to fit in. I realized they were laughing at me. They were belittling me. Why? I've noticed that this has become a trend with them. They constantly question my statements and do not ever believe a word I say. And more often than not, they laugh at what I say. I can't say they hurt my feelings, because they didn't. I can say I am embarrassed that I allowed these people to laugh at me. I have nothing to prove to them, or anybody really, and I need to remind my self of that. So, to my doubters and naysayers- Here's a challenge for you: go to a yoga class with me. And then come to my farm and do all the work I do. Carry 50 pound sacks of feed, bales of hay, chase down cattle and sheep, wade through muck and mire to shoot snakes, chop down diseased trees, feed babies and care for the sick. And do everything else I do while I also raise a child by myself. And then create the things I do on a daily basis. I have nothing to prove to you. I'm a badass. I prove that to myself every day.

Happy May 1st! I've gotten a couple more #bulletjournal #weeklylayouts done for the month of #May and I'm showing a recap of what I've done so far. I continued the #rainbowtheme I had started in April. Seeing such bright colors makes me smile every time I open my #bujo to update my info and review what needs to be done.🦊❤📖 For the 3rd week of May, I decided on a bright paisley print that I painted with #watercolorpencils, then I covered it in #vellumpaper, drew my latout, and edged the borders with strips of silver #washitape 💖 The 4th week of May features a very special piece that Leocadia painted just for my #bujo 😍 She saw that I was using #rainbowcolors and painted a background with her prettiest colors.🌈 I had her help me overlay the background with vellum paper and drew the layout. Then she picked out her favorite #washi for borders and accents. We are qyite a creative team!
