“hello, my love.”

shouto todoroki’s morning voice makes you swoon — it’s rough around the edges and soft in the middle, like a sweet melody for your ears.

“good morning, shouto.”

you admire him in all of his glory; his hair is slicked back since he took a shower and it’s still damp (you can clearly see him pushing it back, annoyed huff leaving his lips. the thought makes you smile). he’s shirtless — toned chest almost glittering under the golden sunlight — but wearing loose tweed pants.

“how’d you sleep?” he asks, chops some melon and places it on a plate as you walk over to him.

“splendidly well,” you wrap your arms around his waist, bury your nose into his chest — he smells like peony and rose water body wash and feels soft, smooth. you’re embraced by comfort. you look up, grin at his pretty face. “and you?”

shouto leans down to kiss you — a kiss that tastes like tea, a sweet little kiss that makes you smile even more, wakes you up for the day. “also splendidly well. someone was clinging onto me and they continued to murmur they were cold, so. it was an eventful night.” he shrugs.

you hop on the countertop as he goes to turn on the stove, takes out some eggs from the fridge. there’s a tiny smile on his face and it’s contagious as hell.

“if i remember correctly, you were also hugging me closer to you.”

“oh, so now i can’t hug the person i’m marrying?!”

you giggle like a lovesick fool. “you’re impossible, mr. shouto todoroki.”

“i get that a lot in the office.” he wiggles in between your legs and you swear his eyes are in the shapes of hearts. and then, quite suddenly, he’s holding your chin — thumb grazing your bottom lip, making you taste the fruit he was cutting.

it’s quiet, barely above a whisper, but you hear it either way — i love you. and he plants a kiss on your lips, wraps his arms around your waist.

with a kiss from his lips you go to heaven and speak to god. with a touch from his hand your soul shivers.

his forehead rests against yours and it feels like you’ve become one for the thousandth time. he smiles, almost giggles. “okay, let me make you some breakfast.”

you feel loved. and you think it’s because you’re drowning in shouto todoroki’s love. and he feels the same way, too, lets you know in these little moments.

Summary: Kazuha decided to end things with the reader when he became a wanted criminal in Inazuma and plan to flee to Liyue, but before he could leave they asked him to stay for the night.

You can almost hear your heart shatter from the words that slip out from KAZUHA'S lips, your body visibly tremble, your eyes wide open, and your mouth agape from disbelief. Years of shared love and trust along with build up memories plays in your mind like a broken film, and as quickly as the memories came, so does it disappears, pulling yourself back to reality.

"Why?" Is the only words that manage to slip out from your lips, it came out like a whisper in the wind, afraid that if you raise your voice any higher it'll crack.

"I do not wish for you to get drag in to my mess any further-"

"Kazuha, I'm your lover-"

"Were" he retorted but paused at the word he uttered, "you were my lover", he continues with a blank expression on his face.

Even when his face lacks emotions, his eyes speaks millions as it stares right to your own and the only word you could describe what it shows is heartache.

"It's the only way I could keep you safe."

You clench at your kimono whilst trying to stop the tears from falling, you drop your head down and gaze at the floor not wanting Kazuha to see your expression right now.

"When are you leaving?"

"Tomorrow at dawn."

"Then, will you stay for the night?"

Kazuha turn to look away, his bangs casting shadows on to his eyes, pressing his lips into a thin line.

"I can't."

"Please..." You plead, feeling desperate for him to stay.

"You can leave in the morning, so please stay for the night."

"Alright..."

And when you woke in the morning he was gone.

not many people know about his crush though, he's actually pretty good at playing it off with other people but when you're around him he just loses it 😭 my GOD it's so painfully obvious that it hurts … you've probably caught him staring like ten times now, and each time the flush on his cheeks grow redder and bigger

probably has songs that he associates with you and every time they come on in public he smiles like an idiot into his sleeve heehee

hmm actually it's not just limited to music, every little thing reminds thoma of you. if he sees something that you brought up in conversation, or mentioned that you liked, he actually has to fight the urge to buy it and stick it in your locker with a little note for you to find

doodles you a little sometimes when he's bored in class like he doesn't even know he's doing it the lines on the page just somehow twist and turn into a messy portrait of you, and when he realises he blushes and slams his book shut. idk maybe it's just a subconscious reaction because he be staring at you so much

very hesitant about being physically affectionate, because even if the both of you are friends he doesn't want to weird you out or anything.. 🙁 but he cherishes those rare hugs, your knee bumping against his, his fingers brushing against yours.

+ circling back to the music bit... thoma makes you a playlist with a confession hidden in the titles. but he doesn't just send you a spotify link and hide under his bed while waiting for your response like he'd like to - he shows it to you when the both of you are together, his heart leaping out of his chest, hoping that you'd get the message.

literally everybody knows that childe has a thing for you ... but you're just so oblivious ?? maybe it's on purpose - he just looks too cute when he's dejected >:)

oh yeah his siblings definitely know too and endlessly poke fun at him for it - especially his sisters

purposely passes you notes in class/talks to you just so the teacher can yell at the him to "stop trying to court them and focus on class" 😞...

around you he's super nonchalant, and honestly you're not sure if he even has feelings for you because he flirts with like… everyone. but you don't catch the way his smile is a little bigger than usual when it's you that he's teasing

you also don't notice all the little things he does for you - waiting outside your class for you to be done, buying you your favorite snacks just because

at his sports games (you can't tell me he isn't an athlete of some sort) he always seeks you out in the crowd, just to flash you his charming grin and proceed to get whacked in the face because he wasn't paying attention then blame you afterwards and beg you to take care of him until he gets better

+ confesses completely out of the blue. it's just a regular day, during a regular conversation, and when childe blurting out that he actually really, really likes you is... unexpected, to say in the least. and you can tell by the abnormally sheepish look on his face that he isn't kidding this time.

Appreciates you especially if you tried so hard to pull for him. He really did his best in order to come home but he’s such a generous person to others and let them come home to you first before himself--such a gentleman, huh?

Oh! You have a Staff of Homa or Deathmatch? Are you going to-

Black Tassel… alright, well at least it gives him a lot of HP! It doesn’t matter that it once was from Zhongli or maybe Hu Tao or you specifically built it for him. He doesn’t really mind because you puting him in your team is just enough for him to be happy.

If you level him up to 80 or 90, he’d be extremely grateful, but to be honest? Whatever level you have him on, he will still do his best whenever you put him on your team and remain loyal to you til the end. The additional power and strength are just bonus points to him.

Helping you is his pleasure, he takes absolute delight in having to assist you and your team in any way he can.

When you don’t place him on your team, he’s a little bit sad but he doesn’t brood over such negativities and is just here to help… that’s it, basically.

Take him to Mondstadt every once in a while! He gets homesick as well, of course, so he will appreciate you if you take him there. You’ll probably see him with the dogs or cats around the square near the fountain, or maybe greeting the vendors and trying to meet the others whom he hadn’t seen for a long time. Where’s his mother anyway? He should try to find her.

When you or your team is in danger he would probably switch to himself on his own accord. You’d sometimes think this is a glitch but he does that most of the times, especially since he was beginning to have feelings for you.

You probably will see your foods increase when you look so closely, or even your fishes that comes from Inazuma. The culprit? Of course, it’s him. There’s no one else who can cook a lot and also catch fish for you like that.

Your teapot house oh Archons. You were just muttering how you like things this way and that in your teapot but you just couldn’t find the time and the next time you log in, he already did it for you.

Your smile makes his day so there are probably times he crits better when he feels energized by your positivity! You’ll find yourself praising him and this continues on until the end of the fight.

When you realize it had been him all long and that he became self aware, he won’t try to hide it from you and would just go along the flow, basically.

I could imagine actually in the Dream of Bloom event, you will find a couple of extra flowers on your inventory, probably one each day--he did that too.
