THREE WORDS TO SUM UP THIS CHAPTER:

I AM SOBBING.

The colored pages are magnificent especially when Kageyama blocked and Hinata spiked (then their flashback during the VERY FIRST MATCH TOGETHER.) Kageyama was able to block the spike but Hinata PULLED THIS MOTHERFUCKING STUNT OFF AND I SCREAMED (literally)

HOLY FUCKING SHIT. NINJA SHOYOU ON THE ROLL.

After that Hinata went in and dashed on the other side of the court to do a "quick set" but turns out HE WAS THE DECOY. Bokuto swept in and did a POWERFUL SPIKE.

BOKUTO YOU ARE DOING GREAT SWEETIE.

BLACK JACKALS WON BECAUSE HINATA WAS ABLE TO ACCEPT AND UTILIZE HIS GREATEST SKILL WHICH IS TO BECOME THE DECOY.

Remember during Season 1 Hinata didn't want to be labelled as decoy because it wasn't as cool as wing spiker or ace? Hinata developed his character and ACCEPTED being the decoy which his the GREATEST WEAPON because he was able to OPEN AN OPPORTUNITY to other spikers.

Also, Kageyama can tell that Hinata was used as decoy. He was able to see it before his teammates did, why? BECAUSE HE IS THE FIRST ONE WHO SAW HINATA'S POTENTIAL AS A DECOY (refer to season 1 when Kageyama & Daichi are talking about what position Hinata will play on their practice match against Aoba Johsai.)

LOOK AT HOW HAPPY THEY ARE.

Hinata was overjoyed because he FINALLY won against Kageyama and it's CLEAR that Kageyama doesn't have bitter feelings towards his loss.

YOU CAN SEE THAT PROUD GRIN ON HIS FACE.

I HONESTLY LOVE KAGEYAMA'S DEVELOPMENT TOO. My heart can't handle all of these feels.

Remember during Season 4 Episode 1 when Kageyama said: "I'm heading first." And Hinata that time felt left behind from everyone who are walking steps ahead of him? Getting opportunities? Invited to youth teams? When everyone ONLY sees Hinata's potential with Kageyama?

Hinata proved them wrong.

Hinata forged his OWN PATH.

And he is finally on the same stage as Kageyama. That's why this moment is INCREDIBLELY SIGNIFICANT in the entire series, because Hinata always felt the tall wall looming over him but now HE BROKE THE WALL. Standing on the same court against all odds.

FUCKING GOOSEBUMPS MAN. I felt it.

I've seen so many headcanons and fanart with this moment BUT HOLY SHIT IT IS REALLY CANON.

Romeo and Hinata speaking in Portuguese and introducing his 5 year old son Ruben to Hinata. Look how overjoyed Hinata is, my heart really swelled in this moment *grabs tissues*

We all know that Tenma Udai (aka Little Giant) is a mangaka. After watching BJ VS Adlers match, you can see it in his eyes he is inspired to make a manga based off this volleyball match. Similar to Furudate who used to play volleyball (his position is middle blocker during Junior High.)

I MEAN HOLY SHIT. does that mean Udai is the Furudate of the series? YOU CAN SEE THAT UDAI IS PUMPED AS HELL TO PREPARE FOR HIS NEXT SERIES. ATTA BOY.

ALSO THE MOMENT WE'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR...

KUROO TETSURO IS BACK.

HE IS OFFICIALLY BACK AND HE LOOKS SO GOOD WITH HIS SUIT ON AND THAT NASTY CAT LIKE GRIN ON HIS FACE.

Also, I'm glad his hair still looks that same. Kuroo won't be "Kuroo" without his rooster hair cut. I love that man.

Kageyama, Kindaichi, and Kunimi reunion?

I CRIED. LEGIT TEARS FELL DOWN ON MY EYES WHILE READING IT.

Kageyama looks SO FUCKING HAPPY to see his middle school teammates. I MEAN LOOK AT THAT BIG GRIN ON HIS FACE WHILE TALKING TO THEM.

THIS CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT IS OFF THE CHARTS.

This moment just tugged my heart strings man, all Karasuno first year's are FINALLY reunited.

You can clearly see Tsukkishima said something salty towards Kageyama and Hinata at the middle saying something stupid or trying to make peace. (What do you think Tsukki said? I bet he said something like "Oh the King is finally defeated." Or something related to that. We all love salty Tsukki.)

LOOK AT YAMAGUCHI AND YACHI'S CUTE SMILES. How adorable.

This moment I legit teared up AGAIN. Seeing them together in the same stage in the SAME team for Tokyo 2021 Olympics wearing the OFFICIAL team Japan uniforms with their former Karasuno jersey numbers.

My skin is cleared. My lifespan has increased by 10 years. My happiness is off the charts when I saw this GLORIOUS PANEL.

The reunion of the freak duo quick, standing up against the world.

My heart is soaring while looking at this, look at where they are now. The greatest rival, greatest opponent, now become the greatest ally.

Next week will be the FINAL chapter of Haikyuu (Chapter 402) I have a feeling that Oikawa will show up in the next chapter (also the next chapter will be released on July 20 same birthday as Oikawa's)

Remember during Brazil when Oikawa said "I'm going to defeat everyone!" My theory is that Haikyuu will end on that note, an open ending for us readers to interpret if Oikawa will really beat them or not. (Maybe a panel of Oikawa preparing to do a jump serve and his banner "Rule the Court")

I've been a fan of Haikyuu for a long time already and I've consistently read the manga for years. I feel bittersweet that Haikyuu will end next week but I'm happy that Furudate always continues to surprise us with his amazing storyline, beautiful art, and characters that really grapple our hearts. I'm certain that the next and final chapter will exceed our expectations.
