[ID: Digital illustration of a nude trans masculine person, cropped from thigh to shoulder. They are leaning back, holding a small dagger pointing between their legs. They have red top surgery scars, and a hairy chest and stomach. Two pale silhouettes of hands reach around the figure, as if stroking their belly and thigh. The figures are surrounded by a border of leaves and red flowers, with a star in the center overhead. There is an 8 pointed star covering the figures groin. The piece is done in a minimal color palette of black, red, and warm beiges and yellows. /. End ID]
My body is a collection of all the parts that came before! π±π±π±

Trans men are handsome
Thatβs it. Thatβs the post. Iβm not going to name specific types of trans men because every single one is handsome and Iβm very happy they exist
i am afraid of what tiktok is doing to people's view of sharks.
i love sharks. i am obsessed with sharks.
and i'm glad that the "jaws" view of sharks is fading. but it worries me that people are saying things like "sharks are literally just ocean puppies". no, they're not as dangerous as a lot of people think, but they're still wild animals. do not treat a shark like a puppy. i've seen videos of people getting themselves bitten by nurse sharks. if you know anything about nurse sharks, then you know that these people were really harassing them. they're not monsters, but they're not your friends either. they're animals who will lash out if they're antagonized or crowded.
anyway sharks are still adorable and i love them very much
Trump is going to lift those tariffs btw. Like we're gonna feel it and it'll suck, and then he will lift them, and things will improve, and people won't realize that things were still better before he put them in place at all, and he will claim credit for making everything better even though things are still worse than when he started. Because of him. Because he made them worse.
So you gotta pinky promise me you're not gonna let yourself or anyone you know fall for that shit.
jackie kinda sorta halfway fucked travis once and now like a bad pre-realization hookup she cant stop texting him from the grave telling him all about her lesbian situationship and her bisexual best friend and how they used to make out under the covers and shit. and travis is just like cool. i love this drama tell me more
while yellowjackets is one of my favorite shows, I have to admit that I'm disappointed with how taissa's storyline was handled β especially in the adult timeline.
she starts off as a prominent politician, separating herself from the other yellowjackets by being a public figure. her son is the first link we have to other tai, and the actions that other tai takes feel a lot more sinister in nature compared to how watered down she's seemed in following seasons.
she starts off as, objectively speaking, one of β if not the most compelling character of the show.
and in s2 and even more so in s3, she seems to me more of a filler character than a main, at least compared to the rest of the adult yellowjackets (save for van, whose storyline fuses with taissa's.)
despite winning the election, she quits her job and seemingly has no more professional aspirations β drawing that storyline to a conclusion despite it being a major part of her character in season 1. she's been married to simone for 15 years, and even as we get real taissa back, her wife isn't even mentioned. sammy is set up as an intriguing character in season 1, a boy that may have a connection to the supernatural to a boy who can tell the difference between his mother and her malevolent other self β only to be near fully axed in the show. the no-eyed man is one of the most compelling themes in the show, yet we don't even see him in the second half of season 3.
season 2 and 3 strip her of her political ambition, her family and eventually even the cryptid figure that's been haunting her β yet other adult survivors still kicking, to whatever extent, do have their own storylines.
she's gone from "I NEED to know more about this character" to "oh, she's there." I enjoyed her and van in the adult timeline, but I'm sure there must have been a way to execute that storyline without alleviating 80% of her previous storylines.
all-in-all, I really do feel like her character has been done a disservice, and I honestly really hope that finale scene sets her up to be a much more prominent and leading figure in season 4.
