I've been saying this for a while now! And when they come up with some pretty words in his script like "It's me an you against the world my lady" to make it seem like his character actually cares and has depth. But all it is is that, PRETTY WORDS. Where are the actions behind those words? How are u and her against the world, if the very moment shit hits the fan u want to quit, or runoff, or sacrifice yourself. How is that backing up any of your words?! I've said this time and time again, but the day I start back watching miraculous is the day y'all scrap all this nonsense and start bringing weight to those pretty poetical words. (Which is most likely never. Hah!)

Have you seen Glaciator 2? That one scene where Adrichat attempts to destroy all these advertisement things felt so much like the writers trying to convince the audience that Chat actually does respect Ladybugs rejection. Tbh I would’ve been fine with that, but OF COURSE ADRIEN GOES BACK TO BEING A SIMP, MAKING THIS “ARC” COMPLETELY POINTLESS

Chat Noir using cataclysm on the billboards is a mixed bag. On one hand, he seems to be actually considering that Ladybug won’t love me. On the other hand, he’s destroying more property out of anger. Either way, he’ll probably be praised by the Stans for maturing somehow.
Here’s the thing about the whole billboard thing, and I feel like some people miss it because they’re not thinking about it (which I understand because it’s a narrative trap):
Adrien/Chat is all about theatrics. His biggest statements and actions that are supposed to show his “dedication” to Marinette/Ladybug are for show. They don’t mean anything, and they’re purposefully exaggerated/done in such a way for the fans to latch onto them. I’ve already talked about “Ladybug” where the episode makes a big deal about Adrien “““standing up to Lila”““ and then immediately giving her what she wants while not bothering to inform anyone else about her actions, but this is yet another example.
Question: what is Chat actually achieving by Cataclysming the billboards?
Answer: Nothing. He’s committing vandalism that won’t actually do anything in the end. The news didn’t catch the meaning (seeming more preoccupied with Alya taking the LadyNoir pictures down) and the billboards would most likely just get put back up again anyway.
Instead of facing Paris and admitting that he was wrong (oh hi “Miraculous New York,” when did you get here?), he takes the easiest and most dramatic way out, at best making himself feel better and nothing else. Same applies to him sacrificing himself when he knows that Miraculous Ladybug will bring him back anyway.
No risk, all the reward. He doesn’t have to admit that he’s been stupid, doesn’t have to even stand up for Ladybug (this was a similar thing with Lila too, by the way; remember when Lila smack-talked Ladybug and he said nothing?), and he certainly doesn’t have to go on live TV and tell people to stop shipping LadyNoir because it makes Ladybug upset.
You can even add to that with him blatantly taking advantage of Plagg by transforming over and over again, but point being that him Cataclysming the billboard is for show. It’s a trap so he won’t have to do any actual work while also getting all of the credit.

I think that another element enforced Ekko's decision to return to his world was that, while he clearly enjoyed his time with Powder, she wasn't his. We see it in that while she uses her genius to help Ekko and Heimerdinger develop the Z-drive, she doesn't do it because she has a passion for it, she does it because a loved one asked her to.
In her world, she already has it pretty good. Life is improving for Zaun, she has her family, she has her Ekko who she is content to act more as his assistant, developing the ideas he comes up with. She likes her little lot in life.
But our Ekko's Powder is Jinx, whose mind is awhirl with changing ideas and chaotic imagination. Who can come up with the bonkers idea of turning her hideout into a goddamn war balloon. Who puts her artistry into her weapons, making it more a part of herself.
That Powder was born of general peace and comfort and deserves the Ekko who shares that experience. But our Ekko, the Boy Savior, knows that despite their sordid history, he can relate more to Jinx than he ever could to Powder.
