I love this!! đđâ¤ď¸â¤ď¸
after the night at the byerâs, billy and steve both sport the same bruises.
and it doesnât make sense.
steveâs sure he didnât get that many hits in, and even then, it wasnât hard enough to give billy a shiner like his.
and the worst part is, he feels bad.
âHey, man,â He starts, cornering billy after a particularly difficult basketball practice. billy was awful. he kept his shirt on, too, which was weird. steve was benched completely; he can barely see out of one eye, and the other is still swollen shut.
billyâs panting from practice, hunched over as if it hurts to breathe. facing his locker and not replying to steve.
âum,â steve continues. âiâŚfeel bad about what happened this weekend. i was just looking out for the kids, yâknow, and i didnât mean to hit you that h-â
billy turns around, snarling. looking like a battered, cornered wild dog.
âoh fuck right off, harrington,â he spits, and shoulders his way out.
âdude,â steve says, curling his lip. âiâm trying to apologize to you, asshole.â
âi donât need your apology,â billy replies, and it hurts a little.
âwell maybe if you hadnât been a racist asshole i wouldnât have had to hit you in the first plac-â
billy seems even angrier.
âi am not a fucking racist, harrington,â he snarls, but it lacks the horror his voice used to hold because of the wounds on his face.
steve grimaces. âyeah, totally, you just attacked lucas because he happened to be the closest.â
billy looks around the locker room as if someone is watching him. nervous.
âitâs not because of that,â he mutters, chewing on his swollen bottom lip.
âthen why?â steve presses. âbecause if i recall, he didnât do a damn thing to you, billy.â
billy swallows and refuses to make eye contact.
âitâs my fucking dad, harrington. he finds out max is messing around with a black kid and all three of us get a shiner worse than mine. i couldnât care less about what those little shits are doing, but he does.â
steveâs face softens.
âso youâreâŚtaking the punches for max?â
âthatâs a stupid way to put it.â
âiâŚâ steve gapes. âwhy donât you go to hopper or something? he could put your dad in j-â
âbecause, harrington, iâve got nowhere to go and no one gives a shit anyway if a dad beats his son as discipline. but i canât let him put a hand on max. she doesnât deserve it. even if sheâs a fucking bitch.â
billy shakes his head like heâs said something awful.
ânow you know. congratulations, harrington. i spent all this time stealing your crown and now you know that iâm just a pussy whose dad beats him. have fun spreading that one around.â
billy turns to leave and steve catches him by the arm.
âiâm not going to tell anyone,â he says, and billy scoffs.
âi promise. iâm not like that anymore. like you saidâŚturned bitch.â
billy laughs.
âso, what? you look at me like iâm a kicked puppy every time i come to school with my teeth knocked in? because iâd rather you spread rumors about me instead.â
steve shakes his head.
âi wont do that either. promise. i justâŚi dunno. can i help in any way?â
billy shrugs him off.
âdo what you do, i guess. protect those little shits. iâm not as good with kids as you are, mama bird.â
steve flushed at that and grimaces.
âplease do not ever call me that again.â
and they laugh. and it feels nice.
âhey, uh, are you doing anything this friday?â steve asks, and it feels natural.
âprobably looking after max. parents like to go out a lot and leave me with her.â
âwell, why donât you and her come with me and we can catch a movie maybe? she can bring lucas and you two can patch things up?â
âare you asking me on a date, harrington?â
steveâs face gets even redder.
âno, i just meant-like yâknow, it would be nice, and i could, um-â
âitâs cool. iâll come by friday. 5:00? you get lucas, iâll bring max.â
steve nods. âum, yeah. that sounds good.â
billy smiles softly. âgood. and donât pick some girly movie. max and i like slashers.â
âright. got it.â
âsee ya, steve.â
billy nudges him before jogging off, undoubtably late to pick up max.
and steve is frozen. what started as an apology for his own moral compass turned into a date. steveâs going on a date? with a boy? no, it was just a joke. maybe. probably.
he hopes it wasnât, though.

It was a really big missed opportunity to not explore! I thought that when we saw the abuse scene with him and his dad, they would point out how his dad is extremely racist (letâs be honest, he is). This would then lead to a deeper dive into Billyâs character, and how he was only being âracistâ towards Lucas because he knew that Max would get hurt because of it. He needed to stop it before the news could get to his dad as if it didnât matter if he saw it. But if his dad saw, he would also begin to abuse Max. Which was something he would not let happen to his little sister. This is coming from my own experiences as an older sibling, and what I already know about psychology (with it being my major).Â
I think the thing that bothers me most about the racism storyline with Billy is that itâs handled so poorly, it centers Max so much, that it becomes a ânot all white peopleâ storyline. Lucas is incidental to it, really, because at the end his feelings about what happened arenât even discussed. He never gets to talk about it. The white people âfixedâ the racism for him and now itâs done forever and we never talk about it again. Only Max even knows what Billy said? Who makes a racism storyline where the whole point is to valorize white people? What kind of seventh heaven ass storyline is that?
And I understand at the end of that story not liking Billy. It couldnât be me, because I want Billy to learn differently and be better to Lucas. I want an actual resolution. But I guess I understand if you just skate on the surface, thinking Max is good white person and Billy is Bad white person and not thinking beyond that. Because the story doesnât ask you to.
OH GOD NOT AGAIN I JUST GOT OVER THE LAST SET
sometimes life is just about a hardened warrior with a troubled past, complex morality, and regenerative abilities,,, and a personification of undiagnosed ADHD who won't leave them alone

When female bodybuilders gain muscle, their chest is more muscle than their breast. So factually, she-hulk wouldn't have a large chest. She would have a small one and would be just as ripped as the Hulk. She-hulk should also have the same length of hair that she had before transforming. It's not even explained as to why it's longer, they just added that for sex appeal. Also, if they did make her realistically ripped. They should hire an actual female bodybuilder, don't make CGI abs.
Example image below:
Now here is an image of She-Hulk:
You see how the chest area is much larger, and the body is hourglass-shaped? Look back up at the realistic one, then look at She-Hulk. Notice a few changes? That's because the creators are sexist(+stereotypical) and decided that she must have a âperfectâ hourglass figure, with a big chest and "sexy hair". Even if none of it makes sense or can be explained, the Hulk didn't MAGICALLY get huge tits-
Wait. No, he did, nevermind, that doesn't count they are man tiddies. When it comes to male bodybuilding, they actually gain pectoral muscles. It's quite a fascinating subject, women lose breast muscle in place of the muscle they gained. Making their chest smaller, however, when it comes to men. They gain pectoral muscle, giving them man tiddies. As shown in the image below:
After looking at that, check out the Hulk:
ITâS REALISTIC!! THEY GAVE HIM THE MAN TIDDIES!! Hulk should be the one with the large chest, while She-Hulk would have slim to none in comparison.Â
When it comes to the love interest, that plotline plot should have been dropped altogether, or at the very least, briefly mentioned over the episodes. Like, subtle things here and there, such as mentioning a date but not going into heavy detail about it, having a guy in her contacts with hearts on the contact name, etc. But the way that they did it is horrible writing if your story can't survive if a single plotline is removed. Then it isn't ready, it needs to be fleshed out far more before it is ready for public viewership.Â
Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk, I will probably rant more about this in the future. Until then, we cherish the Hulkâs realistically massive man tiddies.Â
HOLY SHIT THIS WAS SO GOOD!! MORE PEOPLE MUST SEE THIS!! <3
