Last post of the year!! This has been an amazing year and hopefully the next will be even better! Im quite proud that I received the Honorable mention painting award at TOAF @torontooutdoorart, juried by @mr.bogdanluca massive thanks! Also thanks to @gwartzmans for sponsoring the two painting awards for the show, give them all a check out. I also received the first place prize at annual VAM show at @thefreedomfactorytoronto , these two awards being my first will be remembered and quite proud to have received them.
For those that have collected my work in the past year thank you because I am able to buy paint because of you🙏😋 and thanks to everyone that’s commented and liked my work, some might think it’s insignificant to like a post but it helps to get the word out which means more possible opportunities.🙂🙃
I have no doubt that painting will be part of my life in the future, it’s a big part of who I am and what I express myself through.
Thank you - happy new year and keep painting.☺️ . . . . . . #diogopinheiroart #observationalpainting #perspectiveart #gouache #contemporaryarts #fineartwork #thankfull #geometricabstraction #contemporarypaintings #canadianarts #artcollections #painture #gallery #bestnine2019 #fineartist #curator #geometricaart #oilpainting #commission #commissionart #architecturepaintings #fineart #gouachepaint #gouacheillustration #happynewyears (at Toronto, Ontario) https://www.instagram.com/p/B6vrabZg1kb/?igshid=fxb2jro162ul
Series 1 of hand printed linocut stickers. This pack comes with 3 designs in black and white and one random primary colour. The stickers have a over-laminate which protects the print from scratches and gives UV protection / water resistance to keep the prints safe. My first interview! This was exciting and an awesome experience, i spend most of my time in my studio so I don't get to talk about my work all that much :P. If you want to get a deeper glimpse of my art practice follow the link and give it a read. Special thanks to You Made It an art group that focuses on the Peel Region artist community in Ontario Canada. :):):)

Hey everyone! If you're wondering who that is well that's me, the quiet guy behind the art work on this account. Thought I would take this opportunity to tell you a little about myself, I'm sure everyone is very excited 😏. Born in Portugal Lisbon and immigrated to Canada back in the 90s . . . Actually on second thought instead of reading 30+ years Bio it might just be easier to check out the interview by @thedrake that I did after my artist in residence with them😉.

Commission of Brampton Go station, the client purchased my Brampton Go Study # 1 and wanted it to be turned into a larger painting with a few additions and changes. It’s a custom made wood panel size 20” x 26” and slightly larger after framing. 🥳☺️
If interested in commissions email to diogopinheiro.art@gmail.com with commission as the title.
Commissions can be anything revolving around architecture and recently if you subscribe to my free email newsletter I did a call for commissions of homes (houses, apartments etc). Those commissions have been finished and I will post them soon, quite fun and a nice change of scenery that’s not related to public transit.
Clients provide the photos unless it's a Toronto local station or one that I've done in the past. Also if you want a painting study turned into a larger more in depth painting then that is possible too.

"Union Station Primaries" , 20" x 16" oil on wood.
This painting marks one of my early experiments with adding primary colors in a captivatingly abstract way to my art. The vibrant hues blur the line between realism and abstraction, all while reflecting the essence of the station's structure. And ill be honest, I wanted to add the primary colours because I like them🥳😌

Artist from Portugal living in Canada Ontario. Diogo's work revolves around public transit, this theme was picked to symbolize the speed of city culture. Due to the speed of its culture things tend to get missed, specifically the architecture of urbanscapes.
