It's Kagami! She's the avatar!

She has pretty much mastered the element of fire, and earth comes naturally to her. When she left The Fire Nation she was sent to the Air Temples to learn airbending (it's next in the cycle) however, much like Korra, she had difficulty bending air because "avoid all your problems" is not a philosophy that comes naturally to her, so she left to find an alternative method of learning, going to the Kyoshi Warriors thinking their combat style would help her understand the element of air.

While training with the Kyoshi Warriors (which wasn't just to understand air, let's be honest, the culture and fighting style is something Kagami had always admired, also the girls are hot and she totally doesn't have a crush on the one with the ponytail) she heard that the the chief of the Northern Water Tribe was visiting Ba Sing Se. So she traveled/is traveling to Ba Sing Se in order to learn some earth bending and to try and get an in with Gabriel, so she can learn waterbending at the North Pole.

can and do coexist, and that's why I love him so much!! He's a soft ball of yarn covered in needles, he's a loud chihuahua who'll bite you and claw up your lawn and cuddle up next to you after, he's a menace and a protector and a victim and a fool. He's all of it at once. I don't want to take away any of it, because without his strong will he wouldn't have survived, and without his soft soul he wouldn't have lived, and without his flaws his life wouldn't be meaningful, because it's the flaws that make him feel human. He's an intricate dumbass, and I love him for it <3

I think Prodigy is going in the direction of "medusans are so beautiful that they break your mind" rather than hideous. Eldritch beauty. I mean just look at Zero - prettiest orb in the delta quadrant

god i need to know beyond anything else what age zero is emotionally. or physically. like no matter what age they are being taken from their hivemind and being used as a tool to brainwash slaves would be extremely traumatic but all i can think of is that the last time we saw a medusan on star trek, they had a name. but all zero has is “fugitive zero”. do they remember their hivemind? do they know what happened to it? do they miss it and wish they could give up this new family to go home?

In fact, Lila, you look wonderful, my lady." (Lila): "Stop mocking me, kitty. Or else, I'll have to throw you in a trash can." (Gabriel): "Felix is Chat Noir? And Lila is Ladybug? Even though this makes no sense, I've likely found their identities. They'll pay for deceiving me."

I'm very proud of her! She came out real nice. Her outfit was inspired by Kai's airbenders clothes in Korra.

So Alya is a thief, in Ba Sing Se.

She wears a fox mask to hide her identity, adopting the persona of Rena Rouge when she does so. There are not many other airbenders in the city so she has to be careful not to bend much (or downplay her skill) in her civilian life.

In her civilian life Alya works in censorship for the Ba Sing Se newspapers. She does not like this job, and has gotten into trouble with The Dai Li because of her pushing for more truth to be seen by the public. She is one of the few people who actually know what is happening in Ba Sing Se.

Rena also allows her, and her band of thieves (we'll get to that later), to spread some of the information she has access to.
