We live under the blazing sun, with temperatures exceeding forty degrees inside these tents, surrounded by the constant sounds of shelling and an unrelenting fear. With every airstrike, we feel that we might be the next target. We move from place to place in search of a safe haven, but to no avail. We are trapped in Gaza and living in tents with minimal access to water, food or basic necessities. My family and I are at risk of death at any moment, if not from bombs, then from hunger, dehydration or disease.
