ZHONG-LI

Sometimes, he admits to himself, it feels forbidden to love you. 

When love finds him, it is on the stairway of a small cottage, tucked into a corner of Liyue. It is quiet and unassuming, more importantly shared. A place you’ve decided to spend hefty mora on to live in. 

There’s a backyard and a space for a garden and there are sweet flowers that always seem to regrow after you pick them. On the walls are weapons and hunting gear but in the drawers are spare clothes and change. It’s got two stories but it’s not big. It’s a home, still. 

You’ve invited him inside, an adopted street-cat at your feet as you make dinner. Zhong-li is a working man, but he spends his days off here. You are an adventurer, strong with a big heart and bigger dreams. Your silhouette makes up all the shadows that dance on the wall and you sway to the beat of a soundless song. A smile makes the corners of your lips twitch up and you stir the pot of whatever you’re making with boundless enthusiasm. 

Zhong-li would not wish godliness on anyone. He thinks about it often. Where Rex Lapis ends and where the human, the mortal Zhong-li starts is a blurred line. Humanity is a grieving thing. People live and are happy and then they pass and it is the only thing someone can guarantee. You will be born into the world tearful but you will pass silently - like a wind. 

Godliness means little is forbidden to you. Reality is something you fumble with in your clumsy hands and hope you can get right and humanity is a grieving thing. Always in that order. He knows there is no such thing as love that is truly forbidden - feelings like love and sadness and joy are things that cannot be settled by contracts or understood. They simply exist as if they are their own religion. 

Zhong-li watches you pick up a white furred cat and let it’s nose rest against yours for a brief moment. You hug it and sing to it like it is a child and when you’re done, you let it fondly nudge against your legs.

“Stop being bad and let me cook dinner,” you’ll say, like it knows. And maybe it does - Zhong-li thinks to himself that it might. It prances off and sleeps in the basket you’ve bought, covered in blankets and linens. He stares at you for a long while, his eyes dancing down your silhouette.

There is something remarkably human about love. Perhaps love is the one thing gods cannot truly get their hands on. This greed, this loneliness, this tender feeling - so soft it might fall apart in his hands. In all of his years of living, he likes to believe he has known love. For his companions and for his people. 

But this affection that soaks his bones, greedy and aching to be cared for, must be something only a human could get their hands on. He thinks he could only love you like this with his mortal body, his beating heart and dry mouth. With golden eyes that blink at you, curious to know what you’ll do or say next. If humanity is grieving, perhaps love is acceptance. Reconciliation. Maybe the reason no human complains about a short life is because they, at least once, have loved. 

He thinks he understands it briefly. If redoing everything meant he couldn’t be with you, even once, he would keep it all the same. What a sentiment. He smiles at you as you dance and the sunlight hits the bare skin of your thighs, buried in the expanse of your skin. He longs to be so close to you too. 

Remembering he can choose to be so close to you. That he can act upon this insatiable desire to be loved. It feels forbidden and unreachable. 

But it isn’t. 

He holds out his hand to you and you pause, tilting your head before taking it. He stands and wraps his arms around your waist and stares down at you with so much affection you falter. His lips press against the crown of your head. You’re warm and real.

When love finds him, it is just like this. Under the setting sun of Teyvat, harbored in his mortal body.

✫ SUNA can’t help but lean into your touch when you run your hands through his hair. “mm, keep doing that,” he tells you, closing his eyes with a gentle smile on his face. he’s laying his head in your lap, hiding his face in your stomach. and he’s lucky that you can’t see the blush on his cheeks as you comb your fingers through the soft strands. “what was that? you want me to stop?” slowly retracting your fingers, you hear a a tsk. suna laces his slender fingers around your wrist and brings it back to his head. and when you lean down to give his forehead a soft kiss, a grin breaks out on his face — all because of you.

✫ AKAASHI feels his heart rate pick up when you pull him into a hug. there’s something so innocent about the way you hold onto his waist, pulling him towards you so you could wrap your arms around him, and he loves the pure kind of love you show him. he hopes you can’t hear the beating in his chest (you can), and he prays that you never let go. “keiji.” he simply hums in response. “you give the best hugs,” you murmur into his chest. a breathy laugh leaves his mouth, and you know by the sound of it that he’s smiling. his eyes are probably crinkled, his dimple making an appearance. and you smile, too, hearing the way the beating in his chest gets just a bit faster.

✫ KUROO feels so incredibly giddy when you laugh at his jokes. he melts at the sound of your laughter. to him, it sounds like everything beautiful in the world — the dew on a spring morning, wind chimes on a breezy day, the sparkles you see on water when the sun hits it just right. and when you look up at him with the remnants of that glorious sound leaving your lips, he can’t hold himself back from placing his hand on your jaw, and slowly leaning down to kiss your lips. you’re both laughing into the kiss — the feeling of nothing but joy encased between you two — and he feels his heart burst in his chest.

✫ SAKUSA knows that he isn’t always the best at giving you affection. of course, he tells you he loves you every day, and does little things for you, but physical touch has never been his strongest point. so when you lean your head on his shoulder to get comfortable during a long and tiring train ride, sakusa looks at you with love in his eyes. to be this comfortable with him and to initiate the touch he craved so much makes him fall for you even more. he leans his head on yours, taking the chance to slowly intertwine his fingers with yours.

✫ OIKAWA feels his face burn when you tell him you’re proud of him. with sparkling eyes, you tell him the three words that mean so much to him — “i’m so proud” — which sound a lot like three other special words to him. and sometimes, he’ll pretend it was nothing, saying “of course you are, i did great out there.” but when you nod in agreement, pink paints his cheeks. other times, he’ll look at you and simply pull you into a hug, pressing a kiss to your cheek, and wishing you’d tell him those words forever and more.

✫ IWAIZUMI rarely talks about his day, opting to ask about yours instead. he’s always been one to listen and support others, whether it be his team or you. however, when you ask him about his day out of the blue, his breath gets caught in his throat. all of a sudden, he’s a stuttering mess. he feels your hand slip into his, your thumb stroking the back of his hand, and he tells you about every aspect of his day: the little kid who said he wanted big arms like him, the bitter coffee at work, and how he missed you all day. at the end of it, you’re the one who’s flustered, smiling at the thought of being on his mind all day.

✫ ATSUMU lives for your attention. he says he can’t live without it. he often surprises you with little gifts, or by wrapping his arms around your waist to catch you off-guard, but once those actions are reciprocated, tsumu feels his whole body warm up with the feeling of pure love. and when you show him that you were thinking about him by bringing him some lunch to practice, or by randomly coming up to him to kiss his lips, he realizes that he’s never felt this type of love before he met you. “what was that for?” he’ll say smugly, taking ahold of your waist after you kiss his lips. “hm? nothing, just felt like doing that.” and with that, he’s pulling you in for another kiss — this one deeper, and slower. you can feel his heart beating in his chest against yours, and he hopes that your hands won’t notice how warm his cheeks are.

childe doesn't mind bubble baths, it's just that he's busy all the time and not at home because of his job. however, if he hears that you're having a bad day and in need of a self-care bubble bath, he's there at your service right away!

there's no promise that you won't get soap in your eyes, and the water may or may not splash out of the bath tub, but childe's laughter and cheeriness makes up for everything

he tries anything he can to bring a smile to your face: giving himself a beard with soapy bubbles (and pouting when you say he can't grown one of his own), jokingly shaking the water droplets out of his hair everywhere to make you yelp in surprise, and taking some bubbles and putting it on the tip of your nose to call you rudolph. (yk, the red nose reindeer)

he will keep talking if you want something to fill in the silence. his whole goal is to distract you from any negativity and cheer you up in the meantime anyway (he also attempts to make animals shapes out of bubbles to impress you, but ends up failing every time)

if you let him, childe would love to hold your elbows in the palms of his hands to see if you have any scars on your arms. if you don't have any, he ends up just putting bubbles all over your arms and drawing random things out of them. if you do have scars on your arms, however, he kisses them all even if there are bubbles on them and just gives you a sweet goofy smile afterwards :'(

throws bubbles onto the bathroom wall to be a nuisance and to make you lightly scold him; seeing you sad makes him sad too, so just hearing you raise your voice a little bit in a not serious scold makes him happy! (even if that sounds weird in a way)

childe definitely steps out of the bathtub first to hold out your towel and give you big warm hug when you step into his embrace

he also demands offers to dry your hair and/or just yourself in general, and rushes to prepare all your clothes for you if it wasn't prepared already

but he also says that you guys don't have to dry yourselves off and just get a cold the next day... then he'll get to skip work and stay at home with you all day, right?

scara doesn't take baths often (usually showers), but if he does take a bath it's probably a result of a stressful day with a need of a relaxful evening.

however... if he hears that you had a bad day? he goes straight home after work to get hot water running in the bath tub. (he tries to tell you to take a bath with him but in the end it just sounds like he's ordering you to hop in and wash up, you still get the message though TT)

he'll glare if he sees water go over the edge of the tub and onto the floor, but he doesn't do anything about it. he just sits in your presence and secretly hopes that will cheer you up (spoiler: it kinda does, soft scaramouche is really sweet)

he doesn't talk much, but the things he says are all related to asking if you're okay with things. for example, things like "is the water warm enough?" or "do you want to sit here instead?" or even "...do you want me to massage your shoulders?"

if you tease him for suddenly being nice, he just closes his mouth and glares at the wall for the rest of the bath time duration (but really, he wants to help you but doesn't really know how)

scaramouche just sits there and lets you do what you please, like decorating him in bubbles or attempting to shape his wet hair. it definitely cheers you up to see him not angry and just calm for once, his eyes closed from relaxing into your touch.

if he's really, really touched starved, he'll just reach over without a word and pull you into a back hug and hide his face in your hair (even if it's wet)

like childe, he steps out of the bath tub before you do. unlike childe, he grabs the towel without hesitation and (a bit roughly) picks you up and wraps you in it. he just claims that it wouldn't be good if you have gotten a cold, so you "better dry up or else"

xiao ×

in all honesty, he doesn't know how to cheer you up. xiao might be an adeptus that has lived around mortals for a long time, but you're the only mortal that makes confusing feelings thrive throughout his body fast and make his heart pound even faster.

he can be clueless, but he's definitely at least smart. he figures something relaxing should be able to bring your mood up, right? (he does doubt himself though)

the moment you return to your shared residence with xiao, you can hear the water running and him calling your name from the bathroom (how ironic since you're the one usually calling his name..)

he doesn't actually sit in the bath with you; instead, he sits outside the tub with your back facing to him from inside it. he also doesn't talk much with the belief that you'll need your own time and silence to heal.

xiao offers to wash your hair and when he does, he takes his time and tends to you with gentle hands. the feeling of his fingers carding through your hair and lightly massaging your scalp unsurprisingly soothes all your nerves, and it's difficult not to just melt into his touch. if the water gets too cold, he quickly drains it and replaces it with warmer water/any water at the temperature you want (but obviously he doesn't do it too much and wastes water)

not only that, he puts his hand against your forehead so none of the soap gets in your eyes while he soaks your hair with water to get out all the bubbles. xiao also silently offers to massage your shoulders by doing it once and looking over your shoulder to check your reaction, and his calloused hands still feel so relaxing rolling out all the tension off your back and neck

kisses the back of your head before getting up to get you a big towel to dry you off :( <3

he one-hundred percent asks if you're feeling better afterwards, even if there is hesitance evident in his voice. xiao hasn't been intimate with anyone else, especially mortals, so he wants to know if he can be a partner of yours that you're comfortable and happy with. he might need that a lot of reassurance from you that he is, but all in all also someone who will drop everything to go over to you and cheer you up :)

° Is a ragdoll if that makes any sense. For hugs he'll just slump into you, whether if you're facing him or if he's hugging your back. When you two are going to bed, same thing. He'll either loosely wrap an arm or leg around you or simply just lay on top of you. Even if you are internally suffering because this boy is beefy and quite tall, he'll sigh in content and purr a 'goodnight' or 'I love you'. He also will do this in public, he doesn't comprehend that it could make someone uncomfortable.

B - Best friend

° He's like a cat, you have to prove your trustworthy enough for his company. And once you do, he'll nonstop follow you around. It's awkwardly endearing since he'll just follow you to wherever you go silently, genuinely suffering if you call in sick because he's so used to being around you. 9/10 he'll go to your house with some soup and medicine, not caring what he misses.

° This man is the most love deprived person in UA and no one can change my mind. So when you first cuddle him, it'll be like holding onto a human sized rock. It'll take a couple of months before he softens up and loosely returns the cuddles. His favorite type of cuddles is where you pretty much spoil him, it's when he lays his head on your lap so you can trace his features and play with his hair.

D - Domestic (Would they settle down?)

° You're the one who'd have to take things slow, the moment you two are officially dating is the time where he just assumes you two are going to get married eventually. It's his family who taught him that since Endeavor only married Rei for her powers. So he doesn't know that much about a sincere and regular paced relationship.

E - Ending (How would they end a relationship?)

° This man is too loyal to ever end a relationship and I stand by that, either the partner would have to end it or he would've rejected the person from the start. He has so much baggage that he's worried that no one else will be able to handle it, so he won't lose you if it's his choice.

F - Fiancé

° He'd propose after the second date if it weren't for you telling him that you want a regular paced relationship. He's ready, he has the ring, he has the dinner, he even has his damn tuxedo and rose. So the moment you even hint towards the fact that you want a wedding, he's leaving a note saying to meet him at the restaurant you both went to on your first date.

G - Gentle (Are they gentle on your feelings?)

° I'd love to say yes... But Shouto is far too blunt to be considered gentle on anyone. If he hurts you, he genuinely does not mean to and will not realize he has until you verbally explain it to him. You'd have to tell him your insecurities and baggage beforehand unless you want some very blunt and sharp comments from him that hurt.

H - Hugs

° Like I said before, he'll Ragdoll. His favorite hug is when you're back is faced towards while your cooking or training, then he'll rest his head into the crook of your neck and slump his larger body over yours gently. He'll sigh in content, watching you continue what you were doing with a blank stare. This really makes you question is Shouto is part cat.

I - I love you

° Took three months of dating before he said those three words to you, and surprisingly he was the first one to say it. You were visiting Shouto at his house, worried since he was home sick. When you walked in, you heard Endeavor scolding your boyfriend for being too weak to train thanks to his illness. Hearing this enraged you, so you stormed into their gym and cornered Enji into a corner while screaming at him. Seeing you stick up for him made Shouto feel loved, so when you ushered him back to bed he whispered those words that rang through his head.

J - Jealousy

° He thinks it's being protective, when in reality he just doesn't like it when you hang around certain people *cough Kaminari cough*. Shouto feels his heart stop when he sees naturally clingy people like Kaminari and Kirishima hugging you or offering a shoulder massage after a battle. He always buts in rather coldly, saying it's his job to hug and massage you not theirs. Please reassure him, he's very insecure and will tear up to a point.

K - Kisses

° His lips are very soft and plump but also semi cold, they always taste like Soba or mint hot chocolate no in between. Shouto will cup your jaw gently, pressing a soft kiss to your lips as you begin to drape your arms over his broad shoulders. His lips are very addicting and he doesn't understand the concept of PDA, so it's up to you to control both of you in public.

L - Little ones

° Wants to be a father, but is nervous that'll he'll become a shitty one like his own dad. He'd love to see little versions of you and him running across your shared home as they play around like children should. When you do have children he'll be the soft parent, too scared of scolding them thanks to his experiences with his own family.

M - Mornings

° Wakes up at the crack of dawn, goes outside to stretch and train for a bit, then goes back inside to wake you up and shower with you. He always makes breakfast since you're usually a mess in the morning, but the only thing he can't make is coffee since he doesn't drink it and wouldn't know how to make it. But if you drink tea then he'll take over breakfast fully. Shouto wears a tank top, boxers, and bunny slippers in the morning... And will tie his hair up into the tiniest ponytail (Rip because Shouto stans would be dead).

N - Night

° Even though he's a morning person, he surprisingly stays up quite late. He'll sit in bed and read a book, but he'll put it away if you want to watch a show with him before bed. He refuses to go to sleep without doing five specific things, Having a cute bubble bath with you, Giving each other a massage, talking about your days, asking what you want for breakfast tomorrow, and sharing a goodnight kiss. Skip any of those and he'll have trouble sleeping.

O - Open

° He'll talk about his struggles but he will be very vague with them until you're further in the relationship, he'll simply say his dad is a dick and abused his family rather than going into details about how much he suffers inside. He will understand if you have trouble talking about a certain struggle of yours, but he'll reassure you that he'll never judge you and that you can trust him.

P - Patience

° He's quite patient when it comes to you, he may not understand what a regular paced relationship is at the start. But he'll be willing to learn and understand, he's a great listener and will rarely ever fight with you. His goal is too be nothing like his father, and being so calm and collected really helps him achieve it.

° He remembers too many, he knows what shirt you wore the first day you two met and he knows what the first thing you said to him was. If you ask him a simple question like 'What's my favorite color?' he'll answer correctly in an instant, he sees your Quizzes as a challenge and he refuses to get any of them wrong.

R - Remember (Favorite memory)

° His favorite memory was your first kiss. It was in the middle of winter and he insisted on staying with you at your dorm thanks to the raging blizzard outside. You both were huddled under the blankets as he stroked his heated hand over your back to warm you up, you looked up at Shouto smiling warmly as his softly heated hand lit up the small space under your blanket. You shifted forward gently, pressing a quick peck across his lips. Your lips were so much warmer compared to his, and the cute giggle you made after you backed away only left him flustered. "One more?" Shouto begged, already leaning in.

S - Security (How protective are they?)

° Very, he's not toxic or verbal about it however. But if you come home after a battle, he'll pretty much run towards you and shower you in praises. He trusts you to defend yourself, but it never fails to scare him when you fight without him by your side. The last thing he wants is for you to be alone and in danger, or worse die alone without saying goodbye.

T - Try (How much do they put in the relationship)

° Shouto tries his best at everything when it comes to you, he'll stay up all night researching what a boyfriend should do. He goes out of his way even if it seems like small gestures, Shouto will get better with the relationship as time passes. But don't let his cold façade fool you, this boy is wrapped around your finger and he doesn't plan on slipping off.

U - Ugly (Bad traits)

° Shouto is very blunt and can come off as almost emotionless at points, he will definitely try to work on it when he start dating you. But he honestly just can't help it at times, if you wear something not overly flattering he will straight up say you look terrible without realizing how harsh it comes off. He's also not the best at comforting so you'll have to teach him how.

W - Wildcard

° Shouto loves calling you angel and my love, he likes how they make you sound like royalty. Since in his eyes you are royalty, he won't call you generic nicknames like baby, babe, babygirl, princess and so on. He only uses your name, angel, my love, or if he's feeling flirty 'Soon to be Mrs. Todoroki'.

X - X's (How many Exes does he have?)

° He has many but not in a bad way, they all went on one date with him and never called him back because they didn't enjoy his lack of romance knowledge. Some names to point out are, Momo, Kendo, Shoji (Shouto gives off bi vibes), Tokoyami, Mina, A male and female reporter, and Ojiro. Momo went on two more dates with him, but ended it when she fell for Jirou.

Y - Yuck (Doesn't want in someone)

° He doesn't want someone who only likes him for his quirk or his looks, he wants them to like him for him and not because he's popular among many. Shouto will not date someone who is close minded either, I can see Shouto not judging someone by their looks and simply liking their personality, so if someone who is judgy hits on him he'll decline in an instant. He won't click well with someone aggressive, picky, dramatic, or who isn't committed fully in him. This goes without saying, but he'll never date someone his dad wants him to.

Z - Zzz (Sleeping habits)

° Can't sleep if you're still awake, you will have to fall asleep first or he won't sleep at all. He likes being the little spoon and he's open about it, he likes feeling babied and protected since he's not used to it. A way to easily make him tired is by playing with his hair and kissing over his head and scar.

sleepy boys ft. xiao, venti, diluc, thoma, itto

as an adeptus, xiao doesn’t actually need sleep, but that doesn’t stop him from getting exhausted. it makes him a little crabby and even more standoffish than usual, but give him a hot bath, spoon him and even maybe hum something to him and he’ll be out pretty quickly. sometimes, if he’s really relaxed, his eyes get heavy and he might make tiny, cute yawns, lean into you a little heavier than he was already. if you bring it up, he gets super defensive and denies it, but it’s really cute.

venti sleeps a lot—mostly when he’s drunk or bored, and he loves when you join him! if he’s drunk, give him some water to help with the hangover he’s about to have and get him into bed for a night of cuddling and him slurring out ballads about you. if he’s bored, he likes to climb all over you to find a comfortable position before he tries to sleep. if you’re working, he’ll stretch across your hands like a cat—cute but horribly distracting. he likes getting goodnight kisses, even if it’s just a nap—make sure you give him one, otherwise he’ll make a big fuss out of it.

diluc’s sleeping schedule is horrendous. he’s up all day attending to the winery and up all night bartending or haunting the streets of mondstadt. the only time he really gets any sleep is when he’s about to pass out and you make him—he’ll put up a little fight about it because he’s not a child, he can take care of himself, he’s fine, but as soon as you get him in your lap he’s fast asleep and burying his face in you. he’s so warm, radiates it like a furnace. the temperature flares if he’s having a nightmare, and it can be scary the first few times, but just stroke his hair and give him little reassurances and it will even out again. if he’s actually sleepy? give him sleepy cuddles, because he’s so big and warm; it’s a heavenly experience.

thoma is another one that works until he drops. he’s usually so worried about everything around him that he doesn’t notice he’s exhausted until he’s barely able to stand up. he’ll try to weasel his way out of resting, but just ask if he’ll at least cuddle with you, please? he’s been so busy lately… and after a minute, he’s absolutely limp. thoma will scoot towards anything warm when he’s sleeping, and usually that thing is you—even if you start out separate, you’ll wake up with him sprawled all over you.

itto loves loves loves sleeping with you!! he likes being the big spoon because he can wrap his arms around you and squeeze you like a teddy bear (gently, of course), and he likes cuddling in general. it takes forever for him to actually fall asleep, though, because he just gets excited about even being beside you. just give him little kisses and comb his hair, let him talk himself out, and eventually you’ll have a big oni-puppy curled around you and snoring. he’s a very animated sleeper, moves around and talks and sometimes laughs, and it’s usually very endearing if he isn’t kicking or rolling on top of you.

childe would purposely turn the clock back or forward a few hours just to confuse you. he loves seeing your reaction for feeling embarrassed that you actually believed the prank (ever since then you always looked at your watch or phone to check the time instead of the clock)

sometimes childe will ruffle your hair and won't even realize it. it became a habit from doing it to his younger siblings (almost even rufffled zhongli's head once too but would never tell you that). he also accidentally calls you "kiddo" sometimes and will immediately laugh if you get flustered by it.

diluc would probably pull you closer to him if he sees someone suspicious or feels even just a little bit odd while the both of you are taking a walk. if you two weren't already holding hands, he would then reach for your hand and intertwine your fingers with his to make the both of you feel safer.

diluc also sets up a quiet alarm that rings a bit earlier than yours does (if you use one). he shuts it off really quickly to prevent you from waking up; he does all this because diluc wants to watch you sleep. no, not in a creepy way! he likes seeing you taking a rest after a tiring day and enjoys the peaceful atmosphere of his lover and the start of the day.

whenever you try to step out of a pool, kaeya almost always grabs your ankle and pulls you back in (don't worry he doesn't do it harshly, he always makes sure you fall into his arms). kaeya finds it cute on how you whine that the water is cold. he doesn't let you know that he wants to step out first so he can hold out your towel for you :)

you and kaeya have this thing where whenever he opens doors for you, he always says "for my dearest" and you say back "thank you my prince". sometimes you say "my knight in shining armor" and his heart flutters knowing that you always trust him enough to save you if you ever needed it one day. (if you're confused, usually the phrase "knight in shining armor" symbolizes a hero)

xiao barely sleeps and doesn't wake up early but when he does, he makes it a point to pull the curtains wide open and let the sun rays almost blind your eyes. he finds it cute on how you complain and tell him to close the curtains but of course he will never let a single soul know about that. bonus: xiao says that he will close the curtains if you cuddle with him and that request alone makes you flustered. (like the haughty xiao is initiating physical affection?? YESSIR)

xiao purposely leaves his gloves and other small articles of clothing around hoping you'll wear it. the first time he comes home to you wearing his gloves and commenting about how it looks on your hands, he is the one who's flustered this time. now, xiao usually offers his hoodies to you and softly smiles when you put them on and show it off to others/your friends.

You were too angry at him to speak right now, and Bakugou would not leave your room until you’d finally gave in and spoke.

“Come on you idiot, stop being so damn stubborn. I’m not leaving this room until your dumbass speaks to me.” You kept scrolling through your phone, stubborn as ever. Normally Bakugou loved the way you didn’t back down, but this was getting on his last nerve today. Reaching over, he snatched your phone from your hand, glaring at you. You sat there frozen for a moment before looking up at him furiously.

“Katsuki.” Your voice was cold, and your eyes narrowed in on him the way they did on an opponent. He furrowed his eyebrows, shocked at your tone. Absolutely not. He would not stand for this. Either you’d say his name the usual sweet way, or you’d call him babe. Those were your only options.

“No. If you’re not gonna say my name nicely you don’t get to say it at all. Now try again, say it with more love this time, otherwise I’ll light up your phone,” he said sternly, dangling your phone in his hands to emphasize his point. You crossed your arms glaring at him before turning away stubbornly, still unwilling to give in. Suddenly, he smirked, shrugging at you. “Okay, if you wanna be a stubborn brat that’s up to you.” Plopping himself on top of you, he wormed his way under your crossed arms and laid his head on your chest, trying to put as much weight as he possibly could on you.

“Katsuki!” You screamed at him angrily. Another smirk.

“Uh uh,” he shook his head. “I didn’t like that tone either. Try one more time.” You closed your eyes, breathing deeply before looking at him unimpressed.

“I am not happy with you.”

“And I said I’m sorry. And I even said it nicely this time. Not ‘half assed’ like you always complain.”

“And I said sorry wouldn’t cut it this time.”

“And I said you’re being too stubborn.”

“Katsuki,” this time your tone was exasperated. Once again, his face displayed his usual cockiness, and had it not been so adorable, you’d have smacked it.

“See that’s better, but it’s still not perfect. Try one more time, you’ll get it eventually. In the meantime, I’ll get comfortable.” True to his word, he shifted so he could lay more comfortably, head burrowing deeper into your chest while his arms wrapped around your torso. You sighed, giving in and carding a hand through his wild locks. Looking at you with a triumphant look, he pointed at a blanket at the foot of your bed. “Cover me in the blanket too while your at it babe.” You were so sick of him. Absolutely over him and his antics. But before you could stop yourself, you reached over and lay the blanket over your boyfriend’s body, making sure he was thoroughly covered.

“Is that good enough for your liking?” He nodded, satisfied with your compliance.

“Yeah I guess. But you’re still being shitty and not saying my name correctly, so get back to practicing that. Don’t get discouraged if you can’t get the hang of it, not everyone can be as fast as me.” Oh you’d kill him. But since he looked so cozy, and you didn’t get to really be the one who held him often, you decided just this once, you’d cave. You sighed deeply once more before rolling your eyes.

“Okay fine. I love you Katsuki. Was that better?”

“Sure, I’ll take it. I say your name better though, but I guess I love you too.”

“No you don’t, you just grumble it.”

“And that’s why you’re dumb as shit because clearly I say your name with a lot more love than you do.”

“No you do not.”

“Yeah I do, and I call you babe more often too.”

“Whatever Katsuki, I’m still mad at you.” Shrugging, he lay his head back on your chest and relaxed onto your body.

“You’re always mad about something y/n. Might as well be me so I’m the only thing on your mind.” Finally, you snorted, shaking your head. Leaning down, you kissed his forehead, making him grin. It would probably be his turn to be mad at you tomorrow anyway, so you decided to bask in his affections while you could.

Todoroki wasn’t quite sure how to handle your current mood right now. He wasn’t the best at reading people’s emotions, let alone dealing with them, but it was evident that you were upset, and worse, you were upset with him. He stared at your figure as you looked at him expectantly, arms crossed.

“Y/n, why are you mad? I can’t fix it if you don’t tell me,” you boyfriend reasoned. But you were too angry to be reasonable, so you continued to be stubborn.

“If I have to spell it out for you, then you’re not gonna be able to fix it.” Frowning, he looked at you blankly, confused as to what he could’ve done to make you this upset. He reached over for your hand, but you snatched it away, death glaring him.

“Shoto, go away.” Slowly, he pouted at your tone, it was stern and cold, and he didn’t like it.

“Why… why did you say my name like that?” You glared at him, and Todoroki pouted even deeper. Your heart swelled at the sight, and before you knew it, you weren’t so angry anymore. But still, you didn’t want to give in too quickly.

“Because I’m clearly not happy with you right now Shoto.” Once again, you said his name venomously. This made his face scrunch up, almost making you laugh at his expression.

“Y/n, I’m sure I can fix it. But say my name the way you usually do,” he insisted. You raised an eyebrow at him, and he furrowed his.

“And how do I usually say it?”

“Not like that.”

“I’m saying it the way I always do.”

“No you’re not, you don’t usually say it like this.”

“Then like what Shoto?” He looked at you, blinking for a moment, contemplating.

“Well that time was a bit nicer, but still not like usual.” Finally, you gave in, giggling at how he was so effortlessly adorable. Holding an arm out, you motioned for him to come over. He looked at you confused, but made his way to you nonetheless, sinking into your hold as you wrapped yourself around him.

“You’re so cute Shoto.” Hugging you, Todoroki’s head met the crook of your neck as you played with his hair.

“You said it like usual again, does that mean you’re not mad?” Laughing, you nodded. He relaxed into your embrace, squeezing your figure gently.

“Yeah, I’m not mad anymore.”

“That was quick. How’d I fix it, I didn’t even do anything yet.” Rubbing his back, you smiled at him as he brought his head out of your neck to look at you.

“You were just being really cute is all.” He was still uncertain about what exactly happened, but he nodded anyway.

“Okay, I don’t really get it, but you’ll say my name nicely now right?” Pecking his lips, you nodded, chuckling once more at his confusion.

“Yeah, I’ll say your name nicely now.”
