April 1st means
INUYASHAS BIRTHDAY!!!!!!
BEAUTIFUL BOI
(It's a rope for symbolism, not literal suicide- but I'm giving a heads up just in case)
Full drawing and explanation under the break
Aaand it's a concept drawing I plan to turn into an illustration!
I was inspired by hagi's drawing on pixiv (ID: 2249236)**
It's representing how each time Conan takes the antidote, the existence of Shinichi fades away more and more (hence the rope which is in the same color as the antidote and the cracks on Shinichi's side)
The idea of Shinichi being pushed out of the picture by himself essentially is just-
THE TRAGEDY!!! I'm here for that angst, being the masochist (and sadist for imagining Shin-chan suffering like that LMAO) I am.

Haha look what I found on IG explore (@mcm)
Even when they act like self-sacrificing idiots.
I mean, Inuyasha’s all like, “Until I met Kagome I never trusted a soul in this bleak world of murderous bigots, but I’m not supposed to be happy and it’s unfair to Kagome, so I gotta let her go,” even though it was established Inuyasha GETS HIS STRENGTH FROM HAVING KAGOME BY YOUR SIDE YA DINGUS, HAVE YOU LEARNED NOTHING?!
He seriously says he’s not supposed to know joy (in Japanese, dunno about other dubs). Inuyasha actually chose to repay a debt (Kikyo) over happiness (Kagome). I know Kikyo’s death is recent for him since he just woke up, but I swear his abandonment issue is messing with his life choices.
Or survivor’s guilt? The world may never know. What we do know is sometimes that boy thinks things through as much as a hyperactive puppy.
A stray puppy, in fact. He grew up in his mom’s fancy house until he was orphaned and then forced to live in the wild…OK, I made myself sad.
And then Kagome’s like, “It’s impossible for me to come into Inuyasha’s heart. Still, I can’t forget him, so I’ll stay by his side and put myself through constant peril because I want him to be happy,” even though his daily actions indicate he’s fallen head over heels for Kagome GODDAMMIT GIRL YOU NEED TO COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR DOG-MAN!
GET HIM ON A FUCKING COUCH AND LET HIM EXPERIENCE A THERAPY SESSION OF THE CENTURY BECAUSE THAT BOY NEEDS TO LEARN ABOUT HEALTHY LIFE CHOICES! MAKE HIM SHUT UP AND BE HAPPY –
– sorry, I’ve been re-watching old episodes. Found my VHS recordings…from way back in 2000…when I was living in Japan. I’m old.
A wise decision, Shippo.
Those stubborn fools put us on a wild roller coaster of emotions. *Sigh* But I guess their consideration for the other is what makes them good partners. And partnership is important in a relationship. They bicker but they accept everything about the other like the partners they are.
Kagome is more about treating his physical and mental injuries, while Inuyasha is usually about active protection and behaving like a watchdog, but I love it when they switch roles. No matter what, she’s got his back and he’s got hers.
Which is why I believe Kagome would totally entrust her soul to Inuyasha. Sooo romantic.
Fighting evil by moonlight. Winning love by daylight. Never running from a real fight. She is the one named… Oh shit, wrong anime.
"And if you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss also gazes into you."
Unplanned companion to this Murderer, Shinichi Kudo piece from a few days ago.
I'm blaming this one entirely on my brother lmao
I thought I was done with this concept, like I had NO plans to continue representing this idea in this particular aesthetic, but then as we're watching Episode One: The Great Detective Turned Small, completely unprompted he hits me with this fuckin curveball:
"Do you think [Shinichi] thinks of himself as a murderer?"
And I just. Man
To be fair... I don't think I'll ever be done with the idea of a more emotionally-driven revenge story than what we're given for Shinichi, and the temptation of vigilantism in his pursuit of it, but I wasn't ready to start thinking about it agaaainnnn
Why do you love Kagome Higurashi xD ?
Offt…hard to narrow down the reasons into something that makes sense lol I’d say that at the start, I watched Inuyasha on youtube and let’s just say there was a lot of comments bashing her. The thing is, I couldn’t understand it. She had justifiable reasons for why she wasn’t a hand-to-hand combat gal like Sango, she was 15 and from the future, a normal high school girl. And not enough credit was being given to her, picking up a bow and arrow and just trying her best.
I think what I like most about her is her adaptability. Demons? Kinda weird but she can roll with that. Time travel? Scary but she had to stay and collect the shards because she felt it was the right thing to do. Getting kidnapped? An inconvenience that she gotta either wait out or talk to her capture to try and weasel her way out of it using her wits if she can.
The amount of stuff she went through that would have seriously stressed and frightened another person is just astounding and on top of that, she had exams and tests at school. She had to do homework while taking a break from fighting demons. AND ON TOP OF THAT she had the love triangle to deal with.
Kagome. does. not. get. enough. credit.
What’s amazing is that most of the time in these dangerous situations, she’s hardly ever thinking of herself. If ever. She’s always looking out for the frightened orphan, saving Shippo, saving Inuyasha on a number of occasions, lending aid as best she can to Miroku and Sango.
I do have some problems with how she’s handled in canon as she’s clearly extremely powerful but is never formally trained to control it. She’s always regulated to the back row the second Miroku and Sango come into the series. It’s just a shame to me that she couldn’t have been given more tools to defend herself and grow. Archery is a mostly long-distance weapon and she needed something close range, considering the amount of times enemies got close enough to kidnap her. I don’t blame her specifically for it, it’s just something I find a shame.
But yeah, I love her tenacity, no bullshit attitude, her caring nature, her SASS, her cute sense of humour, and her badass moments make her a truly great character.
Ran: When I first met you, I thought you were weird and annoying.
Ran: :>
Shinichi: :>
Ran:
Shinichi: … and?
Ran: And you are.
This is so wholesome
