you know the piece of art in my last rb made me realize why i dislike most disability related art. and it's that a large portion of it (especially on here) has messaging about ableism. like in the art itself it will have quotes regarding ableism. which is cool and fine, but i am SO tired of the constant trauma and reminders of trauma around my physical disabilities. for once i want to see someone like me just exist. i want to see them happy and peaceful.
it reminds me of how people finally started to view LGBTQ trauma p*rn movies. we as queer people are traumatized constantly. ENOUGH media about queer trauma. where is the queer JOY?
i feel exactly the same about disability portrayed in media/art and otherwise. where is the JOY?
I, for no reason, wanted to draw hisuian Typhlosion and then added quilava and cyndaquil to match

Can I just say I have literally NEVER seen an actual intersex transfem who was AFAB put "AFAB trans woman" / an intersex transmasc who was AMAB put "AMAB trans man" in their bio?
This whole fucking discourse (in refrence to intersex trans people, not the stupid TERF dogwhistle) is literally just perisex people demanding to know intersex people's AGAB and forcing perinormative sex binarist expectations on them based on that. This is intersexist by itself, but the kicker for me is that this is being done specifically for the purpose of excluding intersex trans people from a community they have a legitimate connection to.
Anyway, why don't we go back to the time when asking what a trans person's AGAB was would get you decked. You don't need to tell anyone your AGAB. Especially you, intersex people. Perisex people are not entitled to your medical history, especially when they intend to use it against you.
today someone asked me what my favorite even-toed ungulate is… god, who could decide?
1) You should assume good faith (good intentions, the most flattering interpretation of their speech) when taking with people, 2) it is normal to do so unless you have a serious, ongoing reason as to not do so, and 3) if you do not regularly approach people, especially strangers, in good faith during discussions, then that is a sign of something wildly unhealthy within your psyche.
4) You do have options to change how you think, 5) it will require work to train your brain to approach people sincerely and 6) you may have to stop hanging out in spaces that are toxic or destructive.
But, 7) by tempering your mind, 8) taking accountability for how your words harm others and 9) not hanging out in places that give you an addicting, self-righteous, sense of anger, 10) you can move towards having meaningful, adult, conversations, honestly and openly with others, 11) in such a way where social safety and kindness allows you to be intellectually curious, exploratory, and to grow.
Olimar is a completely normal guy who definitely isn't stealing company property to eat it.
Totally innocent!
Just so like... it's clear... anyone who censors words that contain "man" or "men" to anything like "xxn" that's TERF shit.
Any reference to women/womanhood that solely revolves around having a uterus or "womb" is TERF shit.
Any sentence where the OP says they support people being "trans identified" with quotes around ""transwomen"" or ""transmen"" is TERF shit.
I'm seeing a lot of you baby Tumblr gays out there not knowing what these specific TERF dogwhistles look like.
"Wombxxn" is an incredibly dumb way of spelling "woman" that treats the word "man" like a slur and also reduces women to their ability to give birth.
"Trans identified" is their way of saying "this person calls themselves trans, but I don't believe they are."
Saying "People should be allowed to identify however they wish, but we still need to protect women/children" IS TERF SHIT.
Learn to identify this garbage, because not all TERFs are going to spell out their intolerance for you. Some of them are going to try and seem reasonable and polite and normal, and it's fucking dangerous to our community.
Also unpack any internalized transphobia and your transmedicalism, because both those things will have you quickly siding with TERFs and bigots.
