I went in school in Paris for two years but I never stopped working, studying, for two years now i've been on Proko taking online courses. That, combined with things I see around me, my references (Morpho) I manage to find balance. I practice figure drawing, colour study etc. Right now I want to get more movements, something that I find lacking in my art.

I wish I had something inspirational to say, but truth is, I just paint !

Probs spoiling for myself (after two play-throughs with respected doctor Werner) but this is my first ever time seeing this and I never felt gut punched in my life.

It’s my birthday! 🎉 Also happy 491 years since the legal declaration of death of Andreas Maler! Anno domini 1534!!! ALSO FINALLY made an official reference for my pathetic self insert OC that no one asked for!!!❤️ (but no srsly this is my first OC I actually took seriously to plan out so I’m happy that some yall like her💔) Here are some Diana funfacts on this special indulgent day! (cringe)

Diana is the second eldest child of many siblings in Florence! Her father is a physician? Merchant? and her mother is a noble woman? so they are somewhat well off financially (Still…a work in progress on that fact). Her favorite uncle is a sculptor and artist. Diana is kind of the odd one out of her family but she has a fond relationship with her younger brother, Jacobo.

Her father signed her off to marriage, one of the reasons is that she is considered “too old” to be living at home, while her younger sisters were able to find suitors much quicker than her. (“I hope she ends up with a cruel old man, that will discipline her for sure!” whispered one of her sisters, gleefully.)

Diana is prone to anger outbursts but these have somewhat subsided after being away from home. She can oddly throw a good punch, her brothers taught her to.

She is classist and finds it hard to empathize with others. This is much like Werner before Act 3.

Oh, Diana hated Tassing when she first arrived here. It took her a while to open up to most of the townsfolk. She’s good friends with Else? but still kept her distance. Distance especially from Lenhardt.

She can’t sew, she’s bad at baking, she tries to help Werner around the house and his job, but he’s fine handling it himself. She feels like she’s not as hardworking and resilient as the other townswomen (That's how she thinks though. Ofc it’s more complicated than that, it is their lifestyle after all. Diana does have the luxury of not working on a farm everyday).

No one in town knows why she avoids the St. John’s Eve bonfire every year. As the player, if you go to North town before joining everyone at the fire, you could see Diana sitting outside her house, drawing. If you strike a conversation with her, you get the choice to say hi to her and simply leave or allow her to continuously talk and reminisce about how her hometown would celebrate the same holiday. You get to even look on what she’s drawing, if you’re willing to. With that, she will open up to you more.

Andreas: Why are you not with Werner at the bonfire this evening? Diana: Oh. I have a terrible migraine today.

-If you failed the persuasion check for Werner at the inn in act 2, in act 3, Werner will be a drunkard and rude to Magdalene. Diana will be a shut-in and her depression is now her normal. They both don't fit in Tassing anymore.

This is such a coincidence bc I was looking at ao3 which I haven’t in a WHILE and said “Sigh I wish there’s more Werner/Andreas fics I haven’t read yet” and BAM, THERE IS A GOD. EEEK CAN’T WAIT TO READ IT

the david zwirner gallery and the felix gonzalez torres foundation in the smithsonian removed the descriptive plaque for portrait of ross in la by felix gonzalez-torres. the old plaque explained portrait for ross' origins as the artist's partner's aids related death, and replaced it with a plaque with absolutely no information about the piece itself, who ross was, or who gonzalez-torres was either. portrait of ross was also reeranged to lay on the floor long ways instead of in a pile as it typically is situated, and the plaque outside the exhibition FOR GONZALEZ-TORRES omits his sexuality, as well as his aids related death. i'm in utter disbelief

My intentions for making my OC is that I love the town and just wanted to see myself live in it but alas realistically, she couldn’t live there alone so I had to make her live with Werner Lol

AN ACTUAL PENTIMENT OC!

Sigrid Golding, an unmarried mandolin player who's camping out in Tassing. She signed the contract for a small house under the guise that her brother (who definitely exists) was buying it.

She's mostly in a good mood and can be found strumming away in the town commons. Being a bit of a whisp in the wind, she's always curious about others in Tassing and would be very intrigued by Andreas Maler. But unfortunately the reverse can't be said really, she rarely divulges information about herself and to get on her good side, indulging in her creative outlet is the way to go...

She can be accused for the second murder due to wanting to make sure the contract that was signed in her "brothers" name having been signed tripartite with the Abbot. And therefore she was worried if the Abbot lost power, her falsely signed contract and house would be snatched away.

Ok wait before I get too excited, yes! I’m ok with artists drawing Diana! Which reminds me I have a legit reference for her that Im working on rn but I won’t post that till February🤫 I think some of the story stuff is slightly changed since my first ever post of her but nevertheless her personality is still the same and will judge you at first internally🥰 (Also in modern terms, historians will call her asexual and bi-romantic)

for lineart: i've found that the lineart brush doesn't really matter—i just use what's most comfortable. for the conclave drawings i used the RSCO dry fountain pen, and for bavarian miku i think it was a kraftone inker. if you want to imitate the pentiment style, the more important thing is going back over the lineart to get an aged, distressed look; i do this by erasing/coloring bits of lineart with the RSCO pouncer brush (but i'm sure any spotty, textured brush will do).

for coloring: default water brush in procreate 👍🏻

I have yet to finish this game, but the storytelling absolutely captivates me. I think it also endears to me that we are taken along this journey through the lens of an artist, a consequential journey that spans decades. A sort of legacy seen through the vibrant colors of the medieval world.

Special thanks to @emp-roar who dragged me along for the ride as I translate the german contents directly for her (even when I do not need to hahaha)
