This morning I was downtown. This guy was playing guitar under the light rain.. And then, the sun peaked out at the same time, it was magical.

there isn’t much i can add, but i will say that we are navigating online spaces that are becoming increasingly anti-black. the internet has emboldened people with a degree of anonymity on par with a klan hood. people do not take anti-black racism seriously at all, and antagonize us with implications of racism, just to feign ignorance when we point it out. know things like this do not come out of nowhere.
it starts with supporting accounts that have been exposed time and time again for being racist.
it starts with white-washing premades and then accusing poc simmers of trying to “police gameplay” when they speak up about it.
you cannot ignore small transgressions and then be shocked that we have created a space in which people feel comfortable using slurs unprovoked.
your anger is good. and needed at times. but what’s more impactful is boosting black simmers. please listen and reblog.
The home's inside touted a lot of junk, too. Its owner had passed, leaving their children, no longer living in the area, to deal with an aging property they wanted nothing to do with. They took their first offer: a bid made by highschool-sweethearts Ashley Walker and Ivy 'Ives' Wells, who, incidentally, had very little, and were happy to inherit the home's various belongings. Those items included a lazy-eyed cat they called Billy Brown.

sometimes you're lucky enough to have your pa pass down his dingy old property to you in the equally as dingy old town up north.
