This is not a natural disaster. This was not inevitable. They didn't grow up like this. It was inflicted on them by the vilest sadists on earth.

My name is Tala Nassar, a 17-year-old from Gaza.

My mother is in a critical medical emergency. She was previously diagnosed with breast cancer in her left breast. Her condition is indescribably severe, and her prognosis worsens by the day. This has been exacerbated by the recent bombings and ground invasion of our neighborhood in Nuseirat. Her condition has deteriorated further due to the toxic gases from the bombs dropped just meters from our home and even the smoke from cooking on an open fire, as gas is unavailable.

Since the start of the aggression on Gaza, she has not received any treatment. The only cancer hospital in Gaza was completely destroyed long ago. Her compromised immune system and diabetes only make matters worse, as finding any medication right now is impossible. We are incredibly fearful of the possibility of metastasis or something even worse.

Please help us. We desperately need medical assistance for my mother, and we are running out of time. Your support can make a difference in saving her life.

Hello 🫂

I am Bilal from Gaza. I have experienced many hardships since the beginning of displacement within my country. When the danger for us increased, we moved from place to place in search of safety, but we did not leave Gaza. We took refuge in the south after a long suffering of 150 days, where destruction and exhaustion were our companions at every step.

With great difficulty, some members of my family and I were able to leave for Egypt. Getting here was a safe stop, but the journey was far from over. Our hearts are still in Gaza, where we left behind our loved ones and most of our family amidst difficult circumstances.

We did everything we had to leave Gaza, but the challenges did not end here. We are now struggling to obtain residency in Egypt and everything seems expensive and costly, even the basics of living. Despite all this, we are trying to adapt to the situation, hoping to find the stability we seek, and our hearts remain attached to the homeland and to our people who are still there.

In these difficult circumstances, I hope to receive your support through the GoFundMe donation campaign. Every contribution, however small, helps me and my family to overcome this difficult stage and cover our basic needs until we settle in a safe place. It's so sad that I am hearing of Bosnian genocide survivors talk about how they are triggered by the genocide denial happening around gaza. That the rhetoric that is being thrown around in the media and the rationalization for killing thousands and the talk of "let's be careful of what we call genocide. Let's wait before we call it that" is repetitive of what they were hearing when they were living through it

And Holocaust survivors who were protesting in DC and feeling the burden of having to come out and protest another genocide being done in their name except the media has completely sidelined them because it does not fit the narrative.

I have no other words except how terrible this is but it feels comforting in a weird way that genocide survivors are standing with Gaza. Who needs the acknowledgement of governments when you have them
