But thank you as well for the writers that I love and their fanfictions and the readers who have appreciated my work
actually @ every fanfiction writer whether you wrote something that got thousands of reblogs and comments and became a staple in your fandom, or you wrote one fic and deleted it, or you write mutilchaptered fics that never get a final update, or write short fics, or long fics, or used to write and now you don’t, or you deleted/orphaned your works, or you only share with friends:
thank you.
sharing your writing is hard. and sometimes it’s thankless. sometimes it’s such a negative experience that I wonder how anyone does it at all. but you are needed; you are wanted. whether or not we properly acknowledge it, you are a vital part of fandom culture. thanks for sharing.
Hello! Can I request a male reader x Aizawa or Law where they attend a festival (with his students or crew depending on who you pick) and after everyone is asleep the reader and character get a bit steamy? Thx in advance ^^
Hello cebwrites,
Thank you for the request though i have a little issue with the request you sent.
If its law x male crew reader with a little steamy scene, then i have no problem writing it.
However, I am against aizawa x male student reader. Its mostly because i find it inappropriate and i feel uncomfortable writing it because its a teacher x student. (Secretly, i like reading teacher x student relationship if its done right)
Especially with aizawa or eraserhead character, its not professional and its not in his character to start a relationship with his student even more so he is a hero. So any steamy scene with his student is a BIG no.
BUT in compensation, i will write a small fluff courting scene with aizawa and his male student.😊

Chapter 2 - Coming Soon
I think that person asking for an Aizawa or Law getting steamy at a festival is suggesting that Male Reader and Aizawa are accompanied by the students; not that the reader is a student.
Yup, they already clear it up for me.
I couldn't help my drool over this delicious fanfic🤤😍😍

So without further ado sit back, relax, and let us find out what is dwelling beneath the dark, briny waters~.

Siren! Sung Jinwoo despised humans. To this deadly apex predator, they are disgusting creatures full of greed and violence. He might lure them to a watery grave with his voice or the endless shadows under his command, but he did it to survive. To eat. It helped that his appearance was considered to be highly attractive by human standards: a handsome, but intimidating face with a muscular chest and sleek black hair.
What the bewitched humans never considered as he cradled them lovingly in his arms is that there is a monochromatic tail swishing beneath the dark waves before he pulled them under. His inky ear fins were concealed by illusionary magic of course. He couldn’t take a chance of the smallest possibility that there might be a human who is immune to a siren’s song.
When he finished collecting the carcasses in a sack and any pretty trinkets that might interest the traders at the market enough to sell their wares to him, Jinwoo would return home to his little sister and mother. They lived in an underwater cave just several miles from the coast of Jindou Island. It was a quiet human settlement when the winds grew colder, and the villagers knew better than to cross his path thanks to the reputation and training as Ashborn’s terrifying apprentice. When spring or summer arrived, however, humans from the Mainland came to the island in droves.
More meat sacks meant more food and a little more variety in flavor. He also wouldn’t have to go head-to-head against the other sirens either, especially the ones who think they can become the alpha of these waters by defeating him in a contest on who can lure in the most humans or defeating him in combat. Hah. How annoying.
Now imagine when he catches the delectable scent of an omega after spending another afternoon collecting seaweed to go with the evening’s meal. Humans, like sirens, possessed secondary genders and their own hierarchy. Securing a steady job or finding a partner largely depended on who was an alpha, beta, or omega.
But what made the latter the superior species is that once an omega accepts an alpha’s courting gift or allows an alpha to enter their nest during mating season, the alpha will not seek the company of another omega regardless of how sweet and lovely their scent is. Sirens were hunters, committed to the wellbeing of their mates and pups. Humans were fickle and prone to cheating, even if they were bound to someone else.
His amethyst irises dilated upon identifying the aromatic fragrance of bergamot and vanilla, followed by the activation of his sensory glands. There was no doubt about it; he had found an unmarked omega, and he needed to track the owner, before another siren to approach his intended mate first.
He swam close to the coast, near the shoreline. He never got this close to the surface before, because he could not take the risk of his soul being trapped by the humans when they carried those cursed black boxes in their hands. Ashborn called them phones. A bizarre word for a deadly weapon.
The scent led him to a ship that was ten times bigger than the ones he had seen in the past. Was this a yacht, the legendary vessel that can carry thousands of humans and let them off to explore? No. If that were true, then it would have anchored off much farther from the island and far from the sandbars. The name of this vessel is Murder on The Cerulean Sea. Filming in Process - Quiet on Set! Yachts are supposed to have shorter names. So what is this? Is the omega trapped somewhere beneath the deck? Unacceptable.
Jinwoo was about to summon Igris to conduct a discreet search of the ship when the siren suddenly discovered that you were the source of the scent he had been seeking. But you were not a siren who had been kidnapped by the humans. You were a human. And you were part of the ship’s crew.
So why is it he could not find it in his hammering heart to spit in disapproval and vanish back into the ocean to sort out his confused emotions? Why did he want to know what kind of human you were? What are those strange gestures you are making with your hands in front of the blonde woman and brown-haired man, yet your mouth remains closed? Is it a unique form of communication? A spell? Perhaps his mentor would know the answer. Ashborn knows many things about these creatures.
With a flick of his tail, Jinwoo disappeared beneath the waves and swam past the coral reefs. The seaweed beds and the rocks that held precious pearls in its crevices flickered from the corner of his eyes as he traveled further. Down, down, down, into the darkness below. A graveyard of titans from eons ago, broken remnants of civilizations. Stone, marble, and glass glowing in iridescent light. This was the place that no one except for him would dare go: the abyss.
Try as he might to distract his muddled thoughts by analyzing every single detail in the familiar sights leading to his master’s domain, Jinwoo could not stop thinking about you.
How is it possible that he, a proud warrior and an alpha, could be easily swayed by the wiles of a human omega? It was as if the roles had been reversed; he would be the victim falling prey to your irresistible charm, and you would be smiling viciously, hungry for his flesh. Is this what it felt like to be ensnared in a trap with no means of escape?
No. No, he cannot succumb to temptation. A siren and a human are not meant to be mates. Jinwoo could only hope that Ashborn will give him the answers that he seeks before your maddening fragrance takes hold of over his mind and lure him back to the surface again.

Hello everyone, I hope you've been well! I would like to present to you this month's one-shot! The timeline is before Jinwoo met Joohee.
The request came from @xxeclipze. [Hello! Can you make a sung jinwoo x s rank fem reader whose a grim reaper class, she's quiet and a simple minded person who has never once joined any guild since they want to stay independent.][Hello! Can you do sung jin woo with a s/o who's a quiet and simple minded person and they wield a scythe, they had never once joined a guild at all. They're a s-rank hunter too :>]
Watching from the podium as every high-rank hunter did practical combat, Sung Jinwoo's eyes never left your figure as you fought your opponent with the grace and precision he had seen in his early days.
Your hands show no wasted movement as you strike, your steps were solid as you stride to your next target, and your eyes, observant of your enemy's weaknesses.
All these never escape him and yet it’s not just these that Jinwoo observe closely.
The way your hair swayed with your movement, the spark in your eyes as you enjoyed the thrill, the curve in your reddish lips as you taunt your opponent, the sweat that trickled down your slender neck as you tilt your head.
Completely different reasons that he shouldn’t have noted in the first place, however to Jinwoo, he fervently etched it into his very being.
Once, Jinwoo heard that a small spark was all that was needed to ignite a man's obsession.
As the weakest E-rank, Jinwoo was always on the verge of death whenever he entered a dungeon. But with the circumstances, he’s been given, he never had a choice but to always take a step towards death.
And this one was no different from the others he had faced and yet so different at the same time.
The sole reason for that is because of you. An unknown S-rank hunter who was not affiliated with any of the guilds however you work with the hunter association in exchange for keeping your identity.
Jinwoo has learned these only by coincidence when you had been assigned to work with him and the other hunters for another raid.
Jinwoo's impression of you at first is a weird, playful but kind hunter as you accidentally bump into him. The coffee that he just bought spilled on his shirt.
Seeing this, you quickly panicked, bowing profusely, and apologizing.
Seeing that the situation was unavoidable and it was just a pure accident, Jinwoo waved it off with an awkward smile, hoping to diffuse the situation. However, that didn’t seem to work as you looked at him and the coffee he dropped, a flash of guilt on your face.
Bowing again then you quickly ran off in a different direction, Jinwoo thought that that was the end of your interaction however it wasn’t long before you returned, this time with a drink and food in hand.
Giving him the food and drink and not even waiting for him to decline, you told him it was in return for earlier.
Jinwoo, with a panicked expression, tried to decline “This is too much it's just a coffee that was spilled. You didn't have to go through all that trouble.”
With clear and bright eyes, you smiled, “This is nothing. Beside the coffee is for the coffee as for the sandwich…”
You grinned before putting a finger in front of your mouth, “It’s because I find you cute.” You winked and chuckled as Jinwoo blushed. Seeing him so flustered, you couldn't help but find him even cuter.
Thinking that’s enough teasing for the young man in front of you, you winked and smiled at him before giving a small wave and left; leaving a frazzled Jinwoo.
Staring at your disappearing figure, he couldn’t help but think for a moment of your smile. It was beautiful and sincere even though a glint of playfulness was mixed with it. It's so unlike the ones he was used to receiving when he became a weak fool of a hunter.
And for some reason because of your smile, he finally accepted your offer. The lingering hesitation he still has vanished and a warmth ignited within him.
Smiling, Jinwoo took a bite of the food and enjoyed the enriched flavour of coffee on his tongue, his mind drifting to you again.
When he had been trying to calm you down earlier, he took notice of the massive bag behind you, deducing it might be your weapon.
Unusual though never rare as he has also seen other hunters carry such weapons in size. The only thing he’s worried about is that your choice of weapon might have been too big for you as he saw how petite you were.
Later, he considered how foolish he was to have such thoughts as they entered the dungeon and were unexpectedly engulfed by a red gate.
As soon as they entered, everything was calm and controlled. The more experienced hunters were swiftly taking down charging monsters, while he did his best to defend and went after the weaker ones. Unfortunately, his caution didn't prevent him from getting injured.
As the group delved deeper into the dungeon, the atmosphere grew increasingly perilous. The mana in the air darkened, making it difficult for the hunters to breathe, and a sense of fear began to weigh on their minds. The monsters they encountered were noticeably more powerful than those they had faced earlier.
Even the strongest hunter in their group was visibly struggling to deal with the monsters, while Jinwoo could only focus on defending his life.
In the corner of his eyes, he saw you.
He couldn’t help but find it weird as he never saw you use the massive weapon on your back. Only a short sword in hand when confronting such monsters.
However, before Jinwoo could ponder more, screams echoed from all the hunters in his group and he felt like a massive weight fell on him, making him slam into the ground because of an unknown fear and bloodlust that suddenly appeared in the air.
His ears were ringing, his mind disorientated, but once Jinwoo got his bearings, he struggled to lift his head and saw that all his comrades had fallen to the ground. Some fainted, some half-conscious, coughing up blood.
That’s when Jinwoo noticed liquid dripping from the corner of his mouth. The taste of iron on his tongue. Looking down, he saw red droplets staining the ground.
He then heard a growl, a group of monsters slowly prowled at their group as they eyed them, ready to hunt and eat them for their next meal.
Jinwoo thought that things couldn’t get worse when suddenly a massive creature, a chimera, emerged. It’s the dungeon's final boss.
Dread filled Jinwoo’s being.
The thought of his sister waiting for him at home and his mother in the hospital made him tear up as he struggled to get up, to get away.
Abruptly, Jinwoo saw one of the monsters run up at him. The monster's fangs were just about to hit him when he felt a gush of air ruffled his hair. The monster that was about to kill him was now lying in front of him, cut in half.
Blood splattered on his clothes and onto his face; Jinwoo looked up. There in front of him, he saw you.
A massive scythe in hand, adorned with a crimson essence stone, almost resembling a demon eye. A long curving silver blade extends from a skeleton whose skull is wrapped in razor-sharp blades sticking out in different directions, while the rib cage connects to the red and black stem of the handle, which ends in its lower backbone.
“Are you okay?” You ask, your eyes never leaving the monsters that started circling your group.
Jinwoo silently nodded before realizing you couldn’t see him “I am.”
“That’s good. Take cover for a moment.” You frowned, eyes without the hint of joy nor playfulness from earlier. And yet Jinwoo couldn’t help but find you alluring at that moment.
With a flick of a wrist, your scythe twisted in your hand with ease as if the massive weight was nothing and without a moment, you disappeared, only leaving dust in your wake before Jinwoo heard yelp and howls of pain echoed as you dealt with them swiftly.
Heads torn from their necks and split in half from head to groin. This was the sight Jinwoo witnessed in disbelief as you fought them with such calmness.
All of a sudden, Jinwoo saw the chimera preparing for a breath. He screamed, not caring for his life but yours, “Watch out!”
Evading at the last minute and with a solid step you rush forward, a hand lowered on your weapon's handle and this time you swing your weapon much faster and sharper, completely decapitating the boss of the dungeon, not even leaving a chance for a counterattack.
And with a loud thud, its two heads fell on the floor, cracking the ground.
Finally, as if a weight was lifted from his shoulder, Jinwoo couldn’t help but hyperventilate. All the suppressed emotions he had been holding since the moment he noticed that there was something wrong with this dungeon, came crashing down.
He clutched his chest and tried to calm down, but no matter what, he couldn’t, and beads of sweat dropped faster than the last.
Glancing at him, you turned back, kneeling before him and placing a hand on his forehead. Ignoring the sweat and blood that clung to him.
Still breathing with difficulty, you frowned before meeting your forehead with him, your eyes locking with his frantic ones.
Your voice quietly whispering, “Take it slow and match your breathing with me… that’s its. Just like that…”
Your soft and warm voice made him follow with ease. The soft caress of your hand on his cheeks calmed him down and calmed his trembling body without reserve as he basked in your soft gaze.
The sensation in his cold limb slowly came back as your warmth spread throughout his body. He was sure his ears were tinged with red now that he regained his bearing, though still disorientated.
Sensing that he had calmed down, you smiled softly.
“I’ve heard many things about you, but from what I’ve seen so far, you’re a strong person.”
No, he wasn’t. Jinwoo thought. He wasn’t strong as a hunter. He’s the lowest in his rank. If anything he was barely hanging on supporting his sister and mother. However, before he could wallow more in self-pity, you interrupted as if you heard him.
“Of course, I’m not talking in that sense.” You chuckled.
“I might not know you that well, and we have only met today, but something in you just told me you're a strong person because you're so kind."
You admitted, closing your eyes as you nuzzled into him, ruffling his already messy hair.
Since your first raid, this man immediately caught your attention. Not because of his rank or anything special but because of the kindness and strength inside him.
Learning new little details about him as you observe him every time, a fondness within you arouses.
Even though your personality changes into a confident combatant whenever you enter every mission, you don’t dare to talk to him. Shy and blushing at the mere thought of talking to him, but the incident earlier gave you the courage you needed to take the first step.
Even at this moment, you knew you were pushing it; however, with the way your path is going as a hunter. This was the only time that you might be able to confess to the man who has caught your attention so wholeheartedly.
You did have past crushes; however, they were only admiration by the end of the day and faded right away but this time, it’s different.
He’s different from everyone.
Deep inside, you realize that there wouldn’t be anyone who would be able to compare to him and that there wouldn’t be a chance for you to be with anyone because of him, however, you didn’t mind.
He captured your very being.
Opening your eyes, you softly and lovingly gaze at him causing his already flushed cheeks to turn redder and his eyes reddening.
Noticing that your breaths were intertwining together, your eyes lowered and stared at his lips. If you moved even a little, your lips would finally touch but...you knew that this wasn't right.
He wasn't yours, and you weren't his.
And so with a deep ache inside of you, you close your eyes again, chuckling and lifting your head. Jinwoo then felt your warm and soft lips on his forehead, hearing you say before his consciousness slowly faded.
“You won’t be able to remember this but I like you, Sung Jinwoo.”
And with that, everything went blank.
The next time he woke up, medics were rushing everywhere, assisting him and every hunter who were now out of the gate and regaining their consciousness.
He couldn’t help but look everywhere, looking for you in particular.
He didn’t know why, but now a part of him longed for you deeply, and with time, it seems to only intensify.
Walking towards you with a calm façade but with trembling hands in his pocket, Jinwoo helplessly clenched them tightly, holding his sanity.
It’s only been a few years but he felt like it’s been an eternity.
As Chairman Go Gunhee introduced him to you, Jinwoo felt some blood flow from his trembling fist as his nails dug into his palm.
Jinwoo lowered his eyes as it darkened. He tried his hardest to calm down as he felt that at any moment he might just grab and attack you, his desire and longing just barely contained.
Letting out a small breathe, he then gave you a close-eyed smile, apologizing to you in his mind.
Now that he finally caught up, this time, he won’t let you go that easily like he did when he was a weak hunter.
Now that he remembers your confession, it’s only right of him to reciprocate it, right?
A/n: It was only supposed to be a short one-shot but it got longer than expected. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this one-shot!

Jinwoo was a huge mommy's boy, that's for sure. But like any other son, he idolizes him to the point that he begs Il-hwan to take him out to his mini ship trips to which the old man humors the little boy and teaches him how to be a good sailor boy.
Il-hwan often took Jinwoo in his short trips, mostly just to let the boy be more physically active. After all, young boys oughta be active to grow into healthy and happy men.
Well... That was until Il-hwan lost sight of Jinwoo who wandered off into the island the little boy was accompanying him into to deliver some goods.
While poor Sung Il-hwan's heart was about to burst from his chest— His son meanwhile... Was busy getting heart eyes and butterflies fluttering in silly little tummy.
Jinwoo was your typical idiot child after all, he is reckless and wanders off despite his father's strict orders not to be 10 steps farther away from him.
He just got curious at the pretty little shimmering shells on the sand that seemingly created a path for him to follow.
So what does he do? Duh, he follows it.
As he does so, Jinwoo carefully picks up each shell so he can turn them into a cute little seashell necklace or crown for his baby sister who was just recently born. She's his little princess and he wants to make her as pretty as she possibly can because she is his baby angel.
While picking up the last shell, Jinwoo was startled and fell back when he heard a splash on the waters. He thought for sure that it is his father but instead he was met with a curious gaze peeking behind a moss-covered rock. The orbs were wide and beady, similar to his but more naive. Adorned on the stranger's head were several pearls acting like a glittering stars against the lovely wet strands.
Jinwoo had dropped all the precious seashells he had picked up, but was too distracted on your gaze that the sheepish boy cant help but fumble around on himself.
"E-erm..." Jinwoo speaks up, but soon panicked as he saw your frightened expression. "W-wait, no, no... Don't be scared! I won't hurt you, promise!"
He says, hurriedly lowering himself and then stretching his tiny palms out to you to show that he meant no harm.
Well, how could such bright and round grey eyes show hostility anyway?
So, you also started fumbling around, pushing yourself closer to the curious human and pressing his palms against yours.
Jinwoo seemed to have had his breath hitch when your skins had touched. He kept sputtering out nonesense, before his tiny little digits intertwined with your with his face red to the very tip of his ears.
"Pretty..." Jinwoo mumbles shyly.
It was an odd language to you, but somehow you could tell that this curious little human was very gentle.
And when you beamed, he grins right after.
Innocent and lovely smiles on both your precious faces.
Jinwoo tugs at your hand, leading you to the water so you two could play. He didn't seem to care at the fact that both of you are two different species. While he had legs that could walk and run, you had a lovely tail that you use to traverse the lovely oceans.
You showed Jinwoo the prettiest parts of the waters, while he in turn showed you some tricks he could do. From hopskotch to doing cartwheels and climbing trees just to see you beam as he swung upside down.
Your voice was soundless, and he understood that you did that to protect his ears. There were stories that a siren's voice can burst one's eardrums unless you are bonded to one.
Jinwoo didn't know how long he played with you, but he eventually became tired and just curiously stared into your pretty and dreamy orbs seemingly carved out of the milky way while your foreheads are pressed together.
He then feels a swirl in his heart, a faint, blue glow eminating from underneath the fabric of his shirt. The boy realizes the peculiar feeling, looking down at himself.
But weirdly enough, he wasn't a tad bit alarmed at the mystical sight.
Just as he was about to ask you— Il-hwan's panicked and booming voice echoed from the forest behind the both of you and it instantly scared you away.
Jinwoo helplessly watched you dive into the waters, instantly disappearing into the distant blue instantly.
As soon as Il-hwan sees his little boy, he immediately embraces a dumbfounded Jinwoo who was seemingly too frozen to say anything at all.
"Jinwoo, son, what has dad told—...." Il-hwan pauses, his words disappearing in his throat as he sees Jinwoo's tearful face.
"M-my siren"
"Siren?" Il-hwan scrunches his forehead.
"Dad, my siren!" Jinwoo yells, his face completely panicked as he starts to panic. "My siren, dad my siren! You have to get my siren back!"
"Jinwoo!..." Il-hwan's heart breaks at his son's wailing.
Jinwoo for one was never an insolent or needy child, he had always been good and obedient. Even a bit more closed off than most kids, he's a shy boy who never speaks much. But seeing the state of the poor child this distressed made Il-hwan's heart tremble with sadness.
All he could do was cradle the small boy who kept begging for him to find his dear siren.
⋅ ˚ ₊ ‧ ଳ ‧ ₊ ˚ ⋅ ⋆ ౨ৎ ˚ ⟡ ˖ ࣪
Jinwoo could never really forget that day, no matter how hard he tried he couldn't. Not that he would want to anyway. It would be the same memory night after night.
The sight of that precious siren, how his father spent hours trying to console him a she had his mental breakdown about his precious little 'Friend'.
He would grow into a fine young man, too fine in fact.
The desire to meet you again burned in his heart like a flame dancing in the pits of hell.
Jinwoo wants to find you.
Jinwoo has to find you.
He needs to.
After all, he worked several years earning a reputation in the seas as a cruel tyrant. Not that he is really a villain, no, in fact— He was just passing by a bunch of bastards trying to hijack his ship— The ship he spent hundreds of golds on in order for him to pursuit your missing figure. The nitwits just couldn't sit down and shut up for once.
He spent all of his youth practicing and preparing, researching as much as he can about sirens.
Their habitats, their breeding routes, and their most known locations.
Jinwoo is not an idiot, he actually returned to the very spot he had met you in but found no signs of siren activity. Not even a path of seashells was laid out anywhere even as he circled the shore hundreds of times.
Frustrating? Yes.
But nothing was more frustrating than the fact that all these fucking hooligan pirates were trying to ruin his chances of finding your precious existence in these vast oceans.
He can't waste time playing petty mind games and bargaining.
Jinwoo's gamble is him trying to find a sliver of your trace.
And as he stood bloodsoaked atop of the remains he had mauled so grotesquely, his head tilted upwards with the most faded and lifeless purple orbs gazing at the pouring rain— He felt a sharp stab at his chest.
"Captain!" Beru wails, dropping his sword as he hurriedly assisted his master who had almost collapsed on the floor.
"My liege, you've pushed yourself too much" Bellion says as he took off his cloak and draped it over Jinwoo's figure who was still clutching his chest as if out of breath. "I beg you, captain, please breathe."
"I can't rest not," Jinwoo grits his teeth, moaning in pain as he feels another sharp stab in his heart.
It felt as though his insides are being burned alive, roasting him from within while his heart throbbed like it had a dagger embedded in it's flesh twisting so torturously slow.
Between death and this pain, Jinwoo would have rather chosen the afterlife if it weren't for the fact that he's so fixated on seeking for his precious siren.
His crew would gather around, panicking and attempting to be of help but to no avail
Since eventually, Jinwoo would have passed out from the agony he feels.

"It's not looking good," Igris sighs, running his hand through his long strands after patching up Jinwoo's chest with a bandage. "His injuries are getting more severe by the day."
"Where did it come from?" Beru asks hastily, gritting his teeth. "Did my liege's siren curse him?"
"Far from it," Igris explains. "If the siren had indeed cursed captain, then there is no reason why his the skin directly on top of his heart would rot and create cracks like it's made of glass. The injury not only affects his heart, but also eats him from the inside out. The black ichor spilling out of the wound shows that this is a divine punishment"
"Divine Punishment?!" Beru bellows, his expression turning dark. "Our liege is a gentle soul, why would he of all the bastards of this godforsaken world would suffer such ailment?!"
"Beru, your temper." He sighs, pulling the blanket up to Jinwoo so that their captain could rest more easily. "He has not offended any god, nor is he being punished for his misdeeds."
He takes a deep breath, "It's the aftereffects of being seperated from their mate."
"Mate? But our liege is human?" Beru inquires, flabbergasted.
"Yes, but he has bonded with a siren" Igris scoffs, crossing his arms as if mocking Beru's lack of comprehension. "Our liege told us of the story, of how he met a lovely little siren his age when he was but a wee little lad. A glow suddenly emanated from his chest as if there was a star being planted in his body. That is a typical way for sirens to propose innocently. And our liege has wholly accepted the bonding ritual. Unfortunately, the siren had fled. Prolonged separation from one's mate can result in the symptom's our liege has been showing. His young body is strong hence why he could keep the injuries at bay most of the time. But it seems that our captain will reach his limit soon if we do not find that siren soon."
"...." Beru droops, feeling hopeless.
"Best we let him rest for tonight," Igris simply taps his shoulder, signaling for his colleague to leave the captain's quarters too.

Jinwoo had woken up in the middle of the night, he was completely exhausted from the battle that took place in the afternoon.
He reached out and downed the mug of water waiting at his bedside before getting up and donning a coat over his shoulders to take a simple walk on the empty deck.
"Where are you, really?" Jinwoo sighs, bringing his finger up where a tiny little fish made of water playfully nuzzled his digit. "My darling bride, how am I to gift you all the treasures I've coveted if I cant even have you here, hm?"
Jinwoo had discovered that the little fish friend he had been secretly summoning from his heart was in fact a proof that he and the siren had bonded. If humans had their rings, sirens would have these little creatures as proof of sacramental union.
It was adorable, really.
Sure, one could say that he is only searching for the siren with the sole purpose of prolonging his life but that wasn't his goal.
No.
Even if the bond didn't exist, Jinwoo would still choose the same path as he does now.
If he dies, his siren would die too.
And as a stubborn, reckless and steadfast king of the pirates who even has power above the holy king himself— Jinwoo wouldn't back down in this.
So long as he sees a star twinkling above the unruly oceans, he will continue to sail in search of his precious bride.
