arcane characters as warrior cats part 1: the piltovan council

i’ve been thinking about arcane characters as warrior cats recently, and i’ve come up with a bunch of lore for it. i’ve got plenty of characters already made, so here’s one of the groups! you may be wondering at this point, “saph, why not the main characters? this is weird as hell.” and to answer that, because i want to. so there.

piltover in the au i came up with is a clan called gildedclan. the clan has had to adapt to their territory being destroyed to build upper class neighborhoods. unable to retreat further into the forest lest they trespass on other clan territories, they’ve begun supplementing their hunting by taking advantage of the kindness of twolegs. they pretend to be kittypets when it serves them.

heimerdinger in the au is a runaway kittypet who teaches the others in gildedclan how to draw twolegs into feeding them or giving them food they can take back to the clan.

because of the way the clan operates, they don’t have a clan leader, which means no -star suffixes here. instead, they’ve formed a council that splits power evenly between themselves. this comes in handy because on occasion, the cats in the council will be mia for several days or even weeks at a time while cozying up to twolegs.

The whole "Oh look at Africa" is very often entirely made of racism, like, the homophobic laws are imported from Britain, it's remnants of colonisation from the very people who use it to justify an entire continent being more bigoted than they are. But guess who's to blame for a good chunk of it.?!

Being queer in public is being labeled as a sexual offense against children + the right is pushing for the death penalty regarding child sex offenders.

They literally want to kill us. Full stop. No, Dad, America is not better than "those African and Middle Eastern countries where you'd be stoned to death", the only difference is that we'll be doing our executions of gay and trans people with more bureaucracy and less rocks.

the cait and glinda parallels…

jinx and caitlyn’s rivalry restarting by them both leaving hickeys all over vi because they’re competitive as hell and it ends up being both of them constantly trying to kill each other in a hot way and vi is lowkey terrified that they’re actually going to die one of these days. she simply doesn’t understand the hostility lmao

she finds caitlyn tied up with a bomb strapped to her and violently thrashing and trying to get out and she goes “oh no cait” and helps caitlyn out and then caitlyn’s all grumpy and “i could’ve done it myself now it’s not fun”

she’s watching caitlyn practice shooting when jinx steps right in the way so it’s like 50/50 she’ll get shot or the bullet will barely graze her and vi nearly has a heart attack and SCRAMBLES to stop caitlyn and jinx pouts because “honestly, have you never been on the receiving end of a bullet? the danger makes it better”

vi’s slowly going crazy and caitlyn and jinx are mutually trying to murder each other and giving vi kisses and head pats for her efforts lmao
