You were ecstatic, basking in the middle of it all. Colorful screens, sounds of bullets being fired, hundreds of people congregated together to play, speak and have fun. You were at GamerCon! One of the most anticipated events by many die hard gamers and cosplayers. You had just received your NPC badge for the event. It didn’t matter that this was your fifth year volunteering, you still felt as excited as you did the first year. 

As a fresh faced noob at the con you were a bit shy but now you greeted all of your ‘Boss Monster’s’ and fellow NPC’s with a grin and a twirl. Why a twirl? Because after asking the head up’s all year you had finally been given permission to cosplay on the job. Everyone told you that you had done a fantastic job and as you continued walking around the Con people had stopped you asking for a picture. 

“Oh my gosh! It’s BaniKuin! Can I take a picture of you!” You couldn’t deny the geeks now could you? You were dressed as BaniKuin one of the many playable characters in a new CVG. The FPS game had blown up the first year it came out  and you were a die hard fan of it. You had spent a lot of money trying to perfect the costume you wore and you were extremely proud of it. Hell you looked exactly like the final boss, well post transformation….

You were on cloud nine and the costume wasn’t the only reason why. This year two of your favorite gamer’s were going to attend. And, you had begged to be assigned to the area they would be at. And the golden dragon seemed to smile upon you that day as ‘access was granted’. Shigaraki and Amajiki, both Japanese gamers and both very attractive. But you didn’t fangirl over them only due to their aesthetically pleasing appearance but because they were incredible. 

Shigaraki was the older of the pro-gaming duo. He had a very tragic past and poured his heart into gaming so much so that he was now living off playing games. He was constantly bullied over his skin condition and over the fact that he had only played video games. You admired how he told the world ‘fuck you’ and continued to pursue what had become his passion. 

Amajiki was the younger of the two being just as socially awkward as his senior. He was a cute man who loved fantasy and rpg’s. He was just a normal shy teen when he met Shigaraki. Apparently he was dragged to a gaming event by one of his friends and when a competition broke out his friend shoved him saying “Tamaki could beat him no problem!” Shigaraki wasn’t amused but he was impressed by his skill and soon after reached out to him to play the most popular MOBA game in the world. After that they just started to game together.

You liked to think it was because they both found comfort in having someone just as awkward around. You loved them both they were so real and Incredible. You binged there channel whenever you had free time. You loved watching Shigaraki destroy his enemies and Amajiki’s walkthroughs were a lifesaver when you were stuck in a game. You were the one who anonymously suggested they have the video of the start of their partnership on their front page…. You squealed when they actually did it. 

And as if they couldn’t get even more amazing they both got into ‘Freedom Sky’! They zoomed through the gamemode and quickly rose ranks in the multiplayer part of the game. The game was one they both enjoyed and usually played together. You thought the video of there first time playing it was cute. Shigaraki was vehemently against playing something that sounded so cute but once the disk was in his third eye was wide open. 

The game was utter madness and violence. It was just enough gore to get Shigaraki grinning. That and you had screenshot the part in which Amajiki got competitive his eyebrows furrowing into a glare, his tongue darting out to lick at his dry lips as he crushed monster after monster. Your favorite part was when Shigaraki paused the game and looked over at Amajiki “I didn’t think you’d be into a game like this.” Amajiki’s response was more than enough to heat up your face and make your coochie tingle. “There’s a lot about me you don’t know.” and, he had the sexiest smirk on his face as he noticed his kills were higher than Shigaraki. 

Damn you really loved them. Hell if it wasn’t for you getting tipped off that they were going to attend you would have never cosplayed as their favorite character. Yes BaniKuin was one of the only characters they both liked. Usually their taste differed in characters but when she came out as the final boss in the game play they lost it. Amajiki’s jaw dropped at the incredible graphics the character was gorgeous the long bunny ears perched on her head making her look incredibly fragile and innocent. Hell she even came in a flurry of butterflies. 

Shigaraki wasn’t that impressed thinking that a cute girl as the final boss wasn’t fitting for the gruesome game. Well that was until he had his ass handed to him by the queen. She wrecked them easily dismembering them. The you lost screen flashed across the screen millions of times and Shigaraki became obsessed with defeating her. When he succeeded… “Ha! Take that you bunny bitch! Choke on my fucking cock hoe you just lost! Now release all the BunkinS!” Needless to say this made Amajiki wheeze and soon their gaming room was filled with BaniKuin merch.

Your heart pounded in your chest as you walked to the table where they sat. There they were all in their amazing glory. Shigaraki had a bored look on his face, his head resting on his hand as he looked over the various fans. Whenever someone came up he’d swiftly check them out before signing whatever it was they brought. Amajiki had a permanent blush on his face as people tried flirting with him, his signature shakey. He never got over the fact that they were quite popular. Taking in a deep breath you walked closer to their ‘booth’.

Hey jsyk it’s 2018 and if you’re still drawing characters with big lips like THIS, even if they’re pale/not black, it’s fucking racist. Stop doing it.

No excuses. “It’s a stylistic choice!” It’s a RACIST stylistic choice.

“Idk how else to draw big lips!” That’s because you relied on racist caricatures and are a bad artist. Teach yourself. Learn. If you’re not willing to do that, then you are a bad, racist artist.

“But it’s part of the character design!” Yeah, and it’s racist. If it’s your OC, then change it. If it’s not your OC, make the right choice and draw them with normal looking bigger lips instead of this racist monstrosity.

And if this post makes you uncomfortable because it’s calling you out for stuff you’ve done, good. Fix it. Own up to it. Grow.
