Just looked at his face in that one panel when it was revealed that he's the 23rd Japanese player for the upcoming U20 match.

He's genuinely surprise.

Like Nanase's shock that he got in instead of Nagi who's an actual genius and the golden child of Blue Lock.

This is just a genuine wholesome yet sad moment if you think about it.

I always knew that Nanase had potential but when Rin fumbled his earlier passes, I do admit that I thought that Nanase might get the Naruhaya treatment in the long run.

It made me really glad that Nanase made it. In a program filled with geniuses and prodigies, the author has shown us that even ordinary players like Nanase can make it if they have the right mindset, ego and attitude to survive in this program.

I really wanted to know more about him like his thoughts and backstory you know? He's just that interesting.
