Some kind of deranged sibling dynamic (not like they would ever meet)
"now read out his address, he lives at 123 main street"
I think my favorite detail I've picked up on from tonight's WarGames rewatch is that when the kids first meet Falken he terrorizes them with a flying machine. twice.
like I'm pretty sure he flies his pterosaur into them on purpose and there is NO way he wasn't laughing his ass off while chasing them in his helicopter with his bright ass spotlight. :sob: what is his problem
yo yo Joshua!!!! what's your relationship like with Falken? if you're still in contact with him. also COUGh I love you
(Joshua sees Falken as his dad, and wants to be like a son to him. But Falken is a little apprehensive about it, he doesn't want this computer to be a replacement for his dead son. Sorry Joshua...)
gosh I love how Stephen nicknamed WOPR after his son. not just to himself or private documents, but clearly publicly enough for McKittrick to recognise who David was talking about when he said "Joshua called me!"
I just think that's so cute. I love them so much
I have a confession to make... I haven't seen Dead Code OR read the book. :( I have the book, but I've been too busy to read through it fully
and the only thing keeping me from watching dead code is my fear of direct-to-video sequels 😵💫 so I'm just working off of the OG movie
is dead code good? I like the book so far so I'll keep reading it but I'm scared to watch the sequel :(
War planning can be exhausting. It's about time he got his much needed nap!
thanks for the commission c: @hecklefreckled
Agender Joshua. WOPR is agender. Post over.
I sadly haven’t see any recent posts about Joshua / WOPR in the AI community or robot community :(
So I decided to make one :]
I personally think that this little war computer that came out in 1983 deserves WAY more attention :]
Especially his voice and design (its adorable)
Me when the AI misses me. Me when he wants to play a nice game of chess. Me when I name him after my dead son. Me when I look at him as if he IS my dead son. Me when he hasn't learned futility. Me when he learns and grows. Me when "he's still a child, you know, just a child who wants his way"
woprposting. y'all don't fw wargames (1983) like I doran by 2 members of @7-andahalf-rats 's system
