Beyond the Boundary AU (Voltron: Legendary Defender)

An AU based on the anime, “Beyond the Boundary.” Inspired by art made by @summersnowleopard.

Keith Kogane is the sole survivor of a clan of Spirit World warriors with the power to employ their blood as weapons.

As such, Keith is tasked with hunting down and killing “youmu"—creatures said to be the manifestation of negative human emotions.

One day, while deep in thought on the school roof, Keith comes across Lance Charles McClain, a rare half-breed of youmu in human form. In a panicked state, he plunges his blood saber into him only to realize that he’s an immortal being.

From then on, the two form an impromptu friendship that revolves around Keith constantly trying to kill Lance, in an effort to boost his own wavering confidence as a Spirit World warrior.

Eventually, Lance also manages to convince him to join the Literary Club, which houses two other powerful Spirit World warriors, Tsuyoshi "Hunk” Garret and Katie “Pidge” Holt. As the group’s bond strengthens, however, so does the tenacity of the youmu around them.

Their misadventures will soon turn into a fight for survival as the inevitable release of the most powerful youmu, Beyond the Boundary, approaches.

Headcanon that Katsuki literally models for his parents whenever they design something new because have you seen how BEAUTIFUL he is???? Like??

Like he has better trimmed eyebrows than I do, his skin absolutely flawless for a male, his fashion sense is on point, he can make AMAZING facial expressions, his posture is so on point and actually is really good in comparison to his other classmates, like for real, this boy HAS to be modeling for his parents when they need models because OH DAMN, he’s so much fashionable then his peers (and yes, that includes the saggy pants because lets be real, he’s achieving an actual look with that since has a belt attached.)

Sometimes Lance will just start talking to Keith out of he blue. He’ll ramble on and on about his family and what messes he’d get into with his siblings. And Keith will just sit there and listen absentmindedly cleaning his Bayard or knife but he’s listening to every word and Lance just stops because he realizes he’s been talking for an hour straight and most kids and adults would say he talked too much they would find it annoying and Lance learned how to just keep his mouth shut most days so he wouldn’t be as annoying. And Keith doesn’t seem to be paying much attention anyway so he gets up to leave and,

“Where are you going?”

“Um, I thought you didn’t want to hear anymore, I mean it’s ben an hour and…”

“But you were just getting to the part where your little sister put her pet scorpion in that asshole Jake’s lunchbox I wanna know what happens later.”

And Lance can’t help but grin as he finishes his story and starts on others and it just becomes their own little routine and Keith remembers to remind him where the last story left off so Lance will continue from there and overall it’s just two boys enjoying each other’s company.
