Alright time for some honesty thats going to make my follower count go down but I don't care. Hate me. But a post I read made me realize I need to bring this up.
I complain a lot about Donny Cates and his comics because its the best way to reach agreements on here. This whole run is concidered terrible so I'm going to be honest. I don't say the things I like about the comics because I'm afraid of conflict over it. However, I've already been questioned once for this and I will be questioned again so its time to come clean and be hated. I buy the comics. Which apparently is a sin in this fandom and I will only ever be judged for it.
Know why I do it? Because there are elements I like along with the elements I hate. And I just need to get that off my chest because I don't want to feel bad for it. I get enraged easily and will go off on rants, but I'm also pleased easily. So its time for me to list a few things not all that I actually like about these comics and I will be fine when my follower count drops. (Also a Silver Surfer note)
Dylan and Normies dynamic is really fun and I love them. Sleepers added protective behavior of Dylan just makes it all the better because imagine him trying his best to babysit Dylan and Normie and it all goes to shit two seconds later. I love it.
Grendel dragon. MMMMMMMM. I love this dragon and he's beautiful and also part of Beowolf I just love him.
Darkness. I don't know how to explain this other than a couple dsrk twists are enjoyable. Sure he added too many but still I would love it if it was just one or two twists. Like if it was only the cancer involving Venom trying to keep Eddie... Thats a dark bump in the road J can get behind.
And to Ryan Stegman... ART IS A YEEEEEES
Just Dylan in general I mean hes my son and he's great.
Them covers are sometimes great. Though the varients are what I live for.

Waiting for that to drop.

I recently read a lot of Ghost Rider comics with Johnny Blaze. Now I’m wondering if I’m really the only one who kind of ships Johnny Blaze and Zarathos? Not in a “I want to see you two in bed together” kind of way [Hell no, that would be more than weird], but in a “I need to see more of you two together, because you’re awesome” kind of way. I just love to see them fighting for control, having to accept that they need each other or bickering like an old married couple. Seriously, it’s hilarious. They’re probably my favorite Marvel characters at the moment.
Yaya screenshots pls!
i spend time on this so you better appreciate it >:00000000
Alastor x Charlie HC?
Alastor x Charlie Headcanon~
• Alastor and Charlie, apart from the first moments of tension, they immediately got along. Both are really fun and energetic, they don’t hold back in front of a challenge and both are natural leader.
•It started when a group of vandals and Protestants started to create chaos in front of the Hotel. Charlie came out to confront each other peacefully. One of these poor fools threw at her something, wetting/dirtying her clothes and hair. Alastor suddenly appeared behind Charlie.
• “Sweetheart, you should go get yourself something comfortable. I can think of our… mannerless guests.” “But…” “Sweetheart, you may go.” “Just…don’t hurt them too much!”
•Did those guys dare try to erase Charlie’s smile? Those fools are dead. But not immediately, not in front the Hotel under the gaze of Charlie. He didn’t want to disappoint the young princess.
•But Charlie’s attitude has caught his attention. Those rude had attacked her and she didn’t want to kill them? Well, that’s interesting!
•Alastor appreciates Charlie’s kind heart. He likes her to be so positive and convinced of her goals. This does not mean that he will become “good”. He will probably still laugh at the misfortunes of others, but he will try not to do it openly in front of Charlie.
•Charlie believes that Alastor can be a good person. Perhaps. Really deep inside.
•They can spend hours talking about music. Both are musical talents and appreciate each other’s knowledge.
•Theatrical af. If you think that News 666 was a performance, you didn’t have Alastor as a set designer, choreographer, musician. Combine the enthusiasm of Charlie. Now that is a performance worthy of the Princess of Hell and the Radio Demon!
•Musical duets. ALWAYS. AT EVERY OCCASION. EVERY HOURS. They make Husk want to jump off a bridge.

Meanwhile, in prehistoric Canada…..
where do u get the inspiration for the people in ur fab art? do u use references, if so where from? :)
Honestly from all over the place! Most commonly nowadays, I flip through a bunch of art/photos on twitter or instagram. I especially take advantage of the “saved” feature on instagram, which lets me look at a bunch of really pretty pictures at once. Here’s some examples of what that might look like, with the artist’s @ ’s added in. Warning, big photo dump incoming––and it’s only a fraction of the total number that I actually have, which is definitely around 2000 or so.
I’ll also save a lot of art (read: about 800 pics at this point) to a folder on my computer. Recently, quite a few of these have been coming from twitter; here’s a few examples of artists that I’ve had a soft spot for (handles included):
I tend to go absolutely nuts with finding stuff that inspires me, but I wouldn’t necessarily spend excessive time on it––when I say go nuts, I mean that I have a sustained interest in seeking out inspiration. The pics I have were collected over the course of five years or so, and the ones from near the beginning are somewhat different from recent ones.
If you’re trying to build up a collection, you likely don’t need to spend hours a day searching for this stuff (even more than twenty or thirty minutes is probably too much, unless you’re explicitly doing concept work and you need tons of references). If, while browsing tumblr or instagram or twitter, you come across a picture that really strikes you as beautiful, just save it. Over months and years of selecting choice pictures, you’ll eventually cultivate a taste in art/photos/whatever that will definitely affect the development of your style as you keep making art. Sort of a side benefit of this whole ordeal.
Have another little drawing :)
