I am thinking of taking a huge break from social media. I only have YT, tumblr, and twitch but I do want to limit my time spent on my device (I don’t have a phone but I have an iPad mini) I am 13 and should be (I want to) living a life of outdoors, sports,and fresh air I don’t want to be a kid that sits on their butt all day watching YT and posting on platforms ( I by no means am saying that people that do this are bad, etc. I am saying I don’t want to do that). I want to be active, etc. It is hard for me to put my device away and not think about missing videos. This is what social media is doing to people. It is putting a card in our brains and magnifying that card to our devices, I know at a lot of people are not as suctioned to their devices as much as others. Again, I want to live a life that allows me to do things such as bike,be social, play sports, etc. it is hard to do a lot of these because of Covid-19. I used to do a lot of these things before Covid-19. My dad got into a really bad bicycle accident a couple months ago. My brother and I were riding with him and he fell. We don’t know how because he always rides behind us Incase we fall, etc. My brother and I were the people that had to call 911. He broke his jaw, arm, etc and had multiple surgeries on his face (stitches). I have not ridden a bike in about 8 months. I live in the country so I have hills as roads. I don’t think I want to ride where I live ever again but maybe in the city. If you made it this far reading this please understand that I am not educated in technology so don’t go passing my info around but please understand my words. Love you all.
