Serena

Serena is a character I created for my game that is loosely based on the concept of Pride and Greed. I'm gonna show some of my ideas for her and some concept art under the cut, as well as full renders.

Personality: Sererna is extremely dramatic and quick to anger. Her eye theme alludes to always being watching, judging, and wanting more. She lives high up in isolation with her treasures and her snakes, it is unknown how conscious they are or if they are purely an extension of Serena's own self-preservation. She is easily distracted by praise and loyal to those she thinks deserve it.

Gameplay: Serena flies faster and faster through space as the player takes his belongings. To delay it, you must hit its big eye, temporarily confusing it. Possible attacks: Long distance (from above) she hits you with feather projectiles as if they were lightning; Medium distance (sides) the snakes extend to bite you (making the player temporarily slower) and UNDECIDED Short distance 1. (circular) giving a low kick to the player 2. (from above) catching the player by the feet and throwing him away when it gets too close 3. (front) flapping its wings strongly in order to push the player back.

Full renders. I almost didn't do expression 5 since I was supposed to re-use poses for different expressions but I just had so much fun doing reference poses for wings I had too many photos lmao. I think it reflects well on the character to be light on her feet and always moving around

Here is her concept art and color test. I pretty much strainght away wanted her to have the colors of the greek eyes plus some bronze and gold to complement the pride and greed theme, so I just had to decide which colors go where. I did a poll on instagram todecide at the end. I designed her doing a lot of tiny drawings so it could be understood in a smaller form so I had a lot of alternatives when drawing her full size concept (which is the only time I actually looked at vulture wings, can you tell? lol)

I'm just saying... It's all coming together.

And yes, I still believe that "dark sides" was literally "sides that live in the dark, hiding and wear black clothes" because I love the idea that was something so simple as that and we were the ones that misunderstood the name and assumed "ooo, dark must mean that they are the mysterious evil ones, right?"

I just realised that the whole of Remus' song, where the imagery was arguably the most weird, was in this dark, completely pitch black setting.

and I was thinking

that maybe there's another reason roman doesn't like the dark.

Headcannons I guess

Soooo... I'm not very happy right now because shit happened and my cellphone fucking fell from the window of my apartment, so I decided to write some of my headcannons for my boys to cheer me up.

I love the idea of Steve just being that person that jokes about everything because he genuinely want people around him to smile, even when things are horrible.

Billy is a little bit of a jealous tipe and he makes that very clear when they started to get close, so Steve just started to explain all the things that might get him like that (some of these are just some dumb stuff a five year old could have figured out, but he doesn't want to leave any doubts) eventually they move past that.

They are verse. They first time was pretty awkward because Steve had no idea what to do (they don't just give you a manual of gay sex in school) and having him to admit it just made Billy laugh so much because it was so cute.

He is passive that time so Steve could have a more familiar role.

Billy was surprised when he first listened to Steve music. Turns out the classical boy actually liked some good shit.

Once they were both really drunk and tried to make some rap about nothing especially. Steve drunken beatbox was the best thing.

Once Billy started the "path of being a better person" or something like that, he started to get really worried about having a relapse and it was very difficult for him to convince himself that he wasn't that kind of person.

Although Steve was a really easygoing person, you don't want to ever get on his bad side. Billy wisely don't push too far, but you can't say the same thing about some other people...

They like to watch movies together, but always pick the worst so they can mock it and laugh about the errors. Sometimes they simply fall asleep in the end.

The 'love you's start late in their relationship. Steve was afraid of heartbreaking and Billy was confused because he never loved someone and it was terrifying. But when they start they grow pretty normal, like one phase for: "good bye", "it's ok", "sorry", "see you later", "please" and "you are freaking beautiful" at the same time.

Fanfiction is just the best isn’t it? You can go read a 5k little dribble about your otp having a morning cuddle with a side of pancakes, and then go to a 100k full fucking space epic au that someone just wrote cause they wanted to. We have heartwretching fics, coffee shop au’s, westerns, modern fantasies, arranged marriages, medieval stories, I’m so grateful to fanfic writers for giving us stories (some better than published books) about our favorite characters to read on the daily for free.
