I thought Yoon Hee had a glow after moving into Hera Palace the first time. But that goes to Ha Yoon Chul. Boy divorced Seo Jin, started his own business, had a major fashion change and attitude to go with it. He’s much more confident and then he marries Yoon Hee, his first love before he stupidly cheated on and left her for Seo Jin. Good for him

An intense and visceral movie about a team of afterlife specialists — two shamans, a geomancer (feng shui specialist) and a mortician — exhuming a cursed grave with a plot that goes all the way back to World War II, and addressing the legacy of wartime horrors wrecked onto the Korean peninsula and its people since.
This movie is extremely well-paced, without meandering dialogues or over-exposed emotions disturbing the unfolding mystery — from a generational curse in a wealthy Americanized Korean family to a vertically buried coffin, to a historical plot during the Japanese occupation, where the imperialist's shamans cursed the Korean land with a "nail" to break the country into two.
The horror in this movie comes not from jump scares, but from the cinematography of contrasted, atmospheric discomfort, as well as the capacity for evil found within human hearts — that it wasn't just the invading imperialists to blame, but also the traitors who aided them by betraying their own country and brethren.
And yet the awfulness from all that never quite persists, for the movie believes just as strongly in goodness and excising evil. The team cares genuinely for each other, and each possesses the nobility to do something greater than, and at the risk of their own lives. Through shoveling dirt, through pig and horse blood, through possession and hysteria, hope is also waiting to be unearthed.
This is a poignant and contemporary film with a very clear message from beginning all the way to the end.
Black women denounce violence, stand in solidarity with Asian American communities
“We stand in solidarity with AAPI women and people. We denounce the racist, xenophobic violence that continues across the country. Make no mistake, white male supremacy is at the core of these latest attacks and all of the hate violence against Asian communities. As Black women, we know that our Asian-American sisters are disparately impacted at the intersections of racism, sexism and xenophobia.

I’ve realised the demographic of the BTS ARMY are people who yearn for a community that promotes inclusivity, acceptance and compassion beyond beyond barriers, whether that’s cultural, ethnic, language, national, gender identity, age, sexual orientation or any other. They’re people who want to be part of a movement that seeks to dispel stereotypes and entrenched prejudices. They are people who want to connect with people completely different to themselves, because they own up to how ignorant they themselves were before and realise we need to take active steps to learn more outside of what we already know. They’re people who are creative, love sharing a joy for music, and analysing lyrics, music videos and artistic concepts. They’re people who love to laugh and thrive on looking at and making memes that are understood by people across cultural and language barriers. They’re people whose values centre around friendship, empathy, and learning to embrace the light and dark parts of themselves. They’re people who cant stand to see a divided world and look to BTS as a symbol of hope, figureheads of a world where we are connected, united and healed. Does that make the BTS ARMY delusional? Maybe. But if so, it’s a delusion I want to be a part of. 💜
