shiro, cudding in bed w/ sendak: wE’RE NOT DATING
You’ll get there one day kid, happy birthday 🖤
@grimesucker sent: puts hands on his shoulders from behind , tucks forward & plants a kiss in his hair .
cozy on the couch, shiro doesn’t even hear dox coming up from behind. he’s too focused on the OLD BOOK on astronomy in his hands and the CAT in his lap. even when the weight of hands fall on his shoulders, he’s slow to pull himself from the paragraph he’s reading. the KISS placed against his head, however, is enough to tug him much more quickly to the moment, blinking in surprise. head raises and he glances over his shoulder in an effort to glimpse dox, honestly startled by the blatant act of affection.
“ feeling sentimental tonight? ”
though there is a teasing lilt in his voice, the smile on shiro’s face is PURE of intent. he’s always been a physically affectionate person but, in the undercity, it’s rare that he gets to express himself that way these days and rarer STILL that someone else is affectionate with him.
that said, it’s ALWAYS a nice surprise.

as a teenager, shiro was actually on the scrawnier side. when he was a younger cadet, he was shorter than a lot of his classmates and it wasn’t until he was about seventeen that he had something of a late growth spurt which steadily put him closer to his final height of 6′2. the growth spurt helped put a bit of his bulk on too, but it wasn’t until he started working out regularly, also conveniently around the age of eighteen, that he really began filling out. wasn’t until he was twenty that he reached peak ‘tall & built’ status.
shiro, keeping an eye on pidge w/ her space pirate crush from a distance:
☆ @stolenbystars is back!!! gets a thing
“ hey. ”
it’s a hushed attempt to get the other’s attention, coming from off to the side. shiro’s hesitant to draw the attention of adam’s parents, but then... he’s nervous about the attention he’s TRYING to get, too. cheeks flushed slightly, he runs a hand awkwardly through his hair and glances BRIEFLY off to the side once the other boy looks over.
“ uhm. any chance you’re not too busy? i thought... maybe we could hang out? ”
