So true
Just some thoughts on the new chapter!!
I, personally, have been a fan of the vampire outbreak — it’s just fun and bizarre, which caused my love of BSD in the first place. The last few chapters of the prison break with Dazai v Fyodor and Aya and Bram have been very exciting to follow, and I love the step up we have now.
Chuuya being the intruder was unexpected (at least for me— I just assumed it was Gogol) and to make matters worse, he’s a vampire! Him becoming a vampire isn’t really a “plot hole” for me because, even though he’s strong, he still has vulnerabilities (like diving head first into Ranpos trap during cannibalism). To me, all it would take for Chuuya to be bitten is someone he trusts, like Akutagawa, getting close enough :/
I’m super excited for these teams. Dazai and Sigma has such a fun dynamic (hoping Sigma sticks around for more?!) and I think this sets up Sigma as perhaps a more central character going forward. Admittedly, it took a while for me to warm up to him, but I’m v attached now :)
Next, Chuuya and Fyodor will be a force to recon with. To me, vampire Chuuya and Fyodor represent a harsher version of the alliance between Chuuya and Dazai. I will probably elaborate more in a separate post, but the dynamic has the same undertones of a weapon used by a mastermind.
Chuuya VS Dazai will be so interesting. I am not an SKK shipper at all (I’m in the camp that believes they actually don’t like each other much), but their relationship is well done. I think this fight will provide some good material for analysis :D
And always Aya is so cute!!

To the only person who understand Dazai, brought him to the light, gave him the little meaning of life, changed him. Who took in five orphans, a mafia who didn't had any rank and a mafia's dog yet had an extremely powerful ability that was flawless
"A mafia member who doesn't kill"
Happy Birthday Oda Sakunosuke aka Odasaku
Can’t wait for the ‘Sigma being done with everyone’s shit’ three minute compilation on YouTube once he’s animated.
I saw a rant about how the back and forth between Fyodor and Dazai is ridiculous at this point and like. I think that’s the point. The point is that one is not actually superior to the other in regards to intellect so they are ALWAYS going to be stuck in this cycle of ‘well I thought of/planned/predicted that!’.
The difference is in their connections and what those connections are made of. I find it fascinating actually that Fyodor thinks he’s won because he STOLE gravity away from Dazai and claimed Dazai didn’t even know how to use it when he had it! The thing is though, Chuuya doesn’t seem to be under Fyodor’s control anymore and he hasn’t ever chosen the people who try to use him like an object over Dazai. And despite the four years of separation (which was longer than their time together) he always came when Dazai expected him to.
And I’m thinking he expects him to now which would ultimately be what tips the scale in Dazai’s favor. Because where Fyodor sees a tool Dazai sees his partner. I’m also thinking Chuuya isn’t the only key to success here and that was why he chose Sigma too (if the points where he thinks about the ADA not using each other is any sort of foreshadowing).
The fact that Odasaku said that there's an unspoken rule in the mafia not to get involve with another member's personal battles then goes on to single out Dazai, saying it's different for him, that all the difficult things in his heart should be dragged out and stepped upon mercilessly
Most part of the mind : Study, prepare for the upcoming exams, ready for everything
That one part : Nope, doodles instead. Anxiety, overthinking, sleepy, lazy...
He already wanted to die even before he met Mori and when they met, Mori use that as an opportunity to use Dazai, to make him a witness.
Here, I think that he just went along with what Mori want. And again, he looked really relaxed on that table as if that was a school table. The table, the situation, the wires, and that thing around his body (Idk), it doesn't fazed him at all. Like when Mori killed the boss. This gives more proof that Dazai did have dark life and background way before he met the underground doctor.
Make us more eager to know Dazai's past 😌
It’s been 9 years since the series start serializing. Wishing Asagiri, Harukawa, other manga artists, and staff involved congrats for reaching success thus far & keeping the story going.
And this is how I lost my mind. What about it is from Oda's and Mori's pov
So the Beast movie account just tweeted about Asagiri Sensei releasing a new story as benefit for the movie
“The day I picked up Osamu Dazai” and my first thought was it being about Mori finding and bringing Dazai to the PM but look at the images
That’s Dazai and Oda’s names and abilities.
Dare I hope it’s actually the story of how they met?

It works..
Why do I get the feeling that neither of them (Dazai & Fyodor) will die. Instead, it will be another person lowkey thought it's either nikolai or sigma but nvm. That smug face and chuckle are like saying "what a duel u have there". While having something else in their mind cause you know they are a demon and a demon prodigy. And Dazai's mocking of Fyodor's friends and he just agreed in the same mocking way.
I do think that maybe one of them will die like Dazai said. But thinking back, they are both geniuses (like in another level). And they are similar to one another, they can predict each other's actions like if it's me, I'll do this or that. So I think that's rather impossible for them to kill each other. They will have another plan come up.
Or if they both have something against one another, they might kill or at least an actual duel. It's okay for either of them to die (Dazai especially), I guess? For the plot. But for the victory of the ADA, Dazai have to live. And I think Fukuchi's death is incoming. Fyodor won't be happy of the situation 😅
But the person who I want doom to come to him the most is
