This was just a random idea I had. In my brain Central Jersey is the Jersey that shows the most, problem is is since CJ is so...let's go with disconnected, with the rest of the country he gets overwhelmed, and sure North could just switch in and South could do the same if they all wanted to scare the others with a southern accent that has the slang of the California coast, but watching a place that doesn't exist (it totally does btw) is way funnier.

Besides, by now all the other states that aren't the OG13 think that New Jersey has brown-looks red in certain light-eyes and it would scare the devil out of 'em if they see the red eyes that North actually has (and considering it's HIS body, it is far to tempting).

Also is it obvious that I love the idea that it's the Jersey's and not just Jersey, like I live here, if it's one singular state then I'm from Pennsylvania (I may have been born there but I sure as heaven ain't from there). Jersey would be three different states if we wanted to be associated with the rest of the country more than we already are, that and we may not agree on things but we don't HATE each other, we leave that for the rest of the country (plus let's be real, central wouldn't exist and then what would north and south argue about?)

Anyway as a proud Centralian looking at the news of the rest of the country is overwhelming, I just want to go skating, to the arcade, and continue lovin our favorite Devil, and down the shore when it's nice (and no, down don't mean literally down, though normally we are going down).

Headcanons:

-scrawny sad angy cat man

-the tallest of their brothers, around 5'10

-he's also the youngest sibling cuz I said so <3

-he/him, they/them pronouns

-would absolutely be the biggest sweetheart if life for him wasn't the entire "r/f*ckyouinparticular" subreddit

-he's usually nice when he wants to be, which doesn't happen to often (it does but he doesn't know how to express it)

-it's pretty much agreed by the whole fandom that he's 10 cats in a trench coat right? Thought so.

-^loves headpats, head scratches, chin scratches, pets, and all that jazz and will lay in your lap and purr. (That sounds weird but oh well I am weird-)

-^climbs on everything. They're really good at it too. If theyre being chased by one of their brothers or friends (they have those??? 😨😱), theyll find the nearest tall object (like a tree. Or the fridge. Or the vents.) and climb it/into it.

-^is always protecting their stomach like a damn cat. If he's fully relaxed and laying down around you and not tense and curled up, consider getting a lottery ticket cuz you sir/ma'am/Mx. are lucky as hell.

-^has claws, but has almost no idea how to use them. He just knows to swing and hope they hit their target.

-he's actually very good at cooking and loves cooking for people! Though as for themself, it's either nothing, a cup of coffee, or some random thing he finds.

-will sleep when hell freezes over

-sunbathes in the sunlight like a damn cat tho.

-cannot handle being pinned down in any circumstance. It gives him BAD flashbacks.

-will snuggle up to the OG13 and Main 6 any day, but ESPECIALLY when it's a bad day with his ptsd. They feel safe around the others. And the others will protect him at any cost.

-He has a very hard time figuring out whether or not all the BAD stuff is over :(

I can absolutely see him sobbing if one of his favorite plants die, like there isn't perfect weather to revive it, like he isn't the garden state where literally anything is possible. He will sob and he will do it in front of the other states, he doesn't care if it's "not manly" or "weak" of him, that was his baby damn it!!

The thing with the smell is that it's only the turnpike and really only centered around the Newark area, it honestly isn't noticeable at all once your literally anywhere else (except the swamps going down the shore specifically to WildWood, then it's sorta bad cause it's a fishin area)

Listen he may be very smart (NJ has basically the best educational system in the country) but that doesn't mean he is when it involves him, why keep dirt on himself when he can focus that on others. It does have the downside where he kinda just...forgets certain things, like he is way stronger than he should be and that no it isn't normal to be that obsessed with diners.

(Must say in some weird way this has made me feel better, maybe it's the fact I live here idk lolz)

He’s kinda insecure about the fact that he doesn’t really have a pleasant smell (I’ve been in Jersey once and it wasn’t too bad actually lmao) due to the state itself not really having a pleasant smell

I feel like he gets really really sad whenever a plant dies, especially if he put a lot of effort into trying to help it survive.

He often forgets his own strength and the fact that he’s absolutely jacked and ends up accidentally hurting the other states pretty often.

What states do you headcanon play hockey, and what positions do they play?

HIA, it hasn't been 2 days, what are you talking about? Anyway I got them all down finally, I'm not gonna say they all make sense but most of them have a team so it's finneee...probably?

HOCKEY STATES WOOOOOO-

Jersey: Defense, left-wing

New York: Forward, center

Massachusetts: Forward, right-wing

Connecticut: Defense, right-wing (doesn’t play anymore)

Pennsylvania: Forward, center

Gov: Defense, left-wing (barely has anytime to play but tries to when he can)

Rhode: Defense, right-wing

North Carolina: Forward, left-wing

South Carolina: Defense, right-wing

Alabama: Forward, center (only plays roller hockey, college football offseason)

Missouri: Defense, right-wing (only plays roller hockey)

Tennessee: Defense, left-wing (doesn’t play often)

Arizona: Forward, right-wing

Colorado: Defense: right-wing

Minnesota: Forward, left-wing

Oregon: Defense, left-wing

Montana: Forward, center

I feel like most of these are self explanatory, like NY Jersey and other NE states, but others I may have to explain I think...oops?

Okay so, the Carolinas playing isn't really THAT surprising, they have a team (I don't know which state the team belongs too and I am perfectly fine not knowing lol), same with Tennessee, Arizona, Colorado, Minnesota, and Missouri.

Now Alabama on the other hand, football offseason, literally only roller hockey, besides ya know...violence. Hockey can be a very southern sport when you think about it.

Gov plays because once again, North East, but also because I have a feeling he would be very into the Washington Capitals. It isn't like he gets the chance to play often but when it's a slow winter day he can and will go and play on a lake somewhere with the NE states.

Connecticut doesn't play anymore because he is dramatic (RIP the Whalers, you will be missed until Carolina pulls out the jerseys again), and probably because of injuries or something, he's mainly just dramatic.

Anyway won't lie, this list is mainly off of vibes and whether or not they have a team. For example, California has three teams and yet it is impossible for me to see that man play any sport except maybe beach volleyball. Meanwhile Rhodey is on here and yet he doesn't have a team, I can just see him using hockey as a way to remove stress, it's therapy but WAAYYY more expensive.

New York-

Has grandparents, it’s best you don’t question how they are still alive

Theater kid, has seen Hamilton and Wicked more times than he can count

Always moving, normally just tapping his foot or tapping his fingers, not nearly as bad as NJ and holds this over his head

“I have better ADHD than you do” has been said multiple times by him to NJ

Likes to hike, doesn’t get a chance to do it often but when he can he does, not alone though, never alone

Met Mass for the first time when he was changed from New Amsterdam to New York

Had a harder time understanding certain accents when he was younger, not as bad as NJ but it still caused a problem for a while

Knows Italian and Spanish, he can still understand and write in Dutch but can’t properly speak it

Used to call Jersey ‘Joisey’ in the early 2000s, had to stop or else they would have gone to war

Currently calls Jersey ‘Jerz’ or ‘Taffy’, occasionally calls him ‘Trent’ but that normally ends with a shoe to the head

Likes to call Cali ‘B’ and ‘Nia’

Will occasionally call Florida ‘Disney’ and ‘Swampy’

He does own a gun but prefers a knife

During 2020 he did cooking videos and ‘how to acquire *blank item*’ videos, would sometimes be joined by Vermont and Maine

New Hampshire is his cousin and his brother depending on the situation 

While he denies it, he was the one who created the New state group chat
