So I actually drew them yesterday but didn't end up posting it cause its on a bigger WTTT page. It started out as just Jersey but then I wanted to draw New Mexico as well, and then I somehow had all four of them on the page.

I have the slight headcanon that they are all related in some way, like NJ and NY are brothers and NM is NJ's cousin but not NY's and NH is NY's cousin (or brother idk) but not NJ's. I don't know it seemed like a funny concept to me.

I saw this idea floating around that NM was raised by the NorthEast and I love that idea so like that is probably why NJ and NM are cousins...probably..ya know I hadn't actually thought too hard about it lol

I've loved the idea of personified sports since I first found Matt Mitchell's SEC Roll Call series, which is literally collage football through each week it's so good.

Along with Tom Grossi who did four long ass series on each NFL divisions, they aren't exactly personified per-say but DOESN'T MATTER!!! (actually I'm pretty sure that they are personified in the If the NFL Was Scripted series but not confident on that lol)

Listen if the states and other things can be personified then who's to say that sports aren't!!!

He experiences the equivalent of someone saying they’re from NY and then getting asked "what’s the city like?", but with Phoenix.

He can touch hot stuff without getting hurt (guess that’s how he’s able to touch NM huh?) and it makes the other states question his abilities

One of the only people to get the stick out of Utah’s ass and allow him to actually go have fun. Alas, the puppy eyes were too great for Utah 😔✊

As much as he loves summer, it’s an absolute nightmare sometimes cuz of his curly hair 💀 (<- coming from a curly/wavy haired person)

His hair is a sorta orange-ish brown cuz he tried bleaching it to die it, but failed and it ended up turning that color. It looks nice though, so he’s not complaining.
