i see you’re a tory fan / defender in one of of your posts (me too), so i wanna ask you- how did you find her in part 2 as well as her arc.. i wanna discuss this so bad with someone to see if anyone feels the same way i do.

i genuinely believe she was done dirty in part 2 for a pelothra of reasons. i would even go as far to argue that her character has BEEN being done dirty.

Tory’s always the best character in this show, no matter how much they butcher her arc, but it was a disappointment as you said. Her grief, her promises to her mother and need to provide for her remaining family, the driving forces behind all her choices has been sidelined for a romantic plot that don’t get me wrong, I liked because that’s the best romance written for this show, but still.

There’s no depth to her connections with her senseis or teammates and no fucking explanation of how the hell did she actually end up there. Her fights are cool, but God forbid she is shown to be better than Samantha or Zara now.

Daniel and Johnny did not care about what was going on with her, Sam, Devon and Robby made her grief about them and their team, and the bit about all of them being there for her irked me: the girl left in tears after becoming an orphan while yall handed karate headbands.

So yeah, she’s fantastic but has the possibility of being so much more if they stopped introducing rapists and useless characters during their LAST season.

Thank God fan fiction exists.

If we could stop using the word "cheated" to describe the Robby/Zara situation when it was straight up SA, that would be great!

In a much more serious note, lord knows what happened between Zara and Robby, but Robby did not cheat, he was taken advantage of. And of course the series will never outright say it was that way even after clearly showing Robby wasn't in his five senses. Sure, it's realistic for víctims to feel like they had any responsibility of what happened to them like Robby did when he blamed himself for it, but knowing Cobra Kai? I'm sure he said that because the writers wanted to frame it as Robby cheating on Tory to create conflict and nothing more.

I'm so glad so many people are pointing this out too. And dont even get me started about Robby drinking man. The issues of a child who barely knew a life where his parents were completely sober from drugs or alcohol are complex, and the possibility of Robby turning to alcohol as a coping mechanism isn't nonexistent, but they be writing these dialogue and story points LIKE THEY MEAN NOTHING.

you’re WELL aware that he isn’t doing well because of tory, instead of being there for him as a friend and most importantly as a brother, you’re having a go at him.

like coming at him and making him feel like he doesn’t deserve to be captain isn’t exactly going to make anything better? quite frankly could make shit worse.

sorry to say but miguel sounds like such a brat here. you won avt, won every fight against robby apart from one. and you didn’t win the one fight and you’re throwing a hissy fit acting like an infant. oh grow up.

by the way, i don’t hate miguel.. sort of dislike him right now. i just don’t like nasty ass attitude towards robby. it’s disgusting.

edit: everyone in miyagi do performing poorly, yet robby’s getting the blame for everything and miguel taking out all his frustrations on robby. annoyed or pissed would be an understatement.

Robby and Tory should've fucking HATED each other

In Season 4 when they were in the same dojo, hell, even in Season 3, I feel Robby and Tory should've had a firey rivalry fueled by hatred because like... To Robby, Tory's the bitch who attacked his girlfriend and was the main catalyst that sparked the event that practically ruined his life.

To Tory, Robby's the asshole who kicked her boyfriend off a rail and broke his spine.

Until they eventually saw eye to eye, I think Robby and Tory should've been rivals for a little bit.
