Honestly I’m so tired of all this unfair hate for Tony. We all can write, draw, do an essay, make schemes of every single reason why Tony Stark is a good person, why he cares, why he is a hero not just because he is IronMan and why he deserves better. Haters will reduce everything in a simple “yes but he creates Ultron”, “he fucked up”, “he’s an alcoholic”, “he’s egocentric” and other shit like that. We can spend our life telling them that Tony Stark is only human, that his faith in people fucked him up, that he is just scared and wants to protect the ones he loves. That he is always suffering, both mentally and physically. That he creates Ultron not just for fucking fun but because, for him, it was the only right thing to do to save the world. And he was wrong, he knows that. But humans do that you know. People get scared and react. He was not trained for this shit and he has not superpower so he did the thing he can do better: build a machine. That’s pretty much what he did, react. He didn’t hide, he had the courage to react. He fucked up, but then he went and tried to fix his mistakes but even then haters blamed him for the civil war. So what’s the point? Now I just wanna say to everyone who’s in #TonyStarkDefenseSquad, let’s just spread around how magnificent our genius is. Let’s celebrate his personal victories and even his defeats even if no one else understands what it took to accomplish them. We know he’s came a long way from where he began, he has grown. We won’t forget his past and all the pain he went through. We’re gonna always be upset when some little jerk will say shit about him but Tony Stark taught us to be better, and fight for the things we believe in and the people we love so… Let’s protect him but guys, stop fighting with haters: It’s not worthy it.
Tony wants to go on vacation. He drives with Steve to a log cabin at Lakeside and wants to do a lot of things, including cycling, swimming, hiking, climbing mountains, etc... But Steve can neither ride a bike nor swim. He never learned.
Tony will of course be happy to help and teach him everything. Imagine Captain America with water wings and support wheels.
Lots of fluff and cuddling and Tony being a lovely douchebag.
Works also with WinterIron, IronPanther, IronStrange and FrostIron.
I would be happy if someone would like to write a ff or use parts of it. But please give credits ^__^
I just recently had a conversation with my friend about Tony's reaction when he saw the video. She said she couldn't understand his outburst of anger because he had never talked about his parents before or generally showed no feelings towards them.
I don't talk much about my parents with my friends either but if and God forbid they should die and I get a nervous breakdown and lock myself in my room for weeks and my face is red and wet from my tears, would my friend not understand it either? Would she misunderstand the natural reaction of a human individual to a traumatic loss? Would she seriously question human psychology? And if after weeks/months/years I was asked about my parents' death and I broke into tears again because I loved them so much and the wound was torn open again, would she also not understand this?
My reaction would be absolutely legitimate, why shouldn't it be Tony's?
Her statement was disgusting.
I don't hate any of those three. Not Tony, not Bucky, not Steve. But I say that each of them should have acted differently then it would never have come to that point. They've all made mistakes.
Just a few posts I collected that are nice examples of how Tony Stark is not just some self-centered jerk.
I’ve said it before, but you can’t take everything the man does at face value. He’s a deep and very human character that you have to pay close attention to and try to understand.
In 1976 James Buchanan Barnes (in Winter Soldier look and mood) is assigned as bodyguard for a 6-year-old Tony Stark. Bucky is grumpy as fck but Tony is happy about his new buddy - he is super cute towards him, always smiles and is excited because his parents always ignore him (Maria and Howard have no time, jobs are too intense, you decide). Bucky makes slow friends with his babysitting life, but likes to be there for Tony even if he doesn't want to admit it.
Of course, there are not only good times. Bucky also sees how things are going at the House Stark and Tony is neglected or poorly treated by his parents. Bucky intervenes to protect Tony, but submits to Howard's arguments not to be dismissed.
Here's a list of babysitter Bucky's responsibilities:
play,
cooking,
bathe (imagine Anthony Edward Stark, covered only in bath foam, giggling in front of a completely overstrained Winter Soldier dashing through the house),
put him to bed (of course also includes reading good night stories and imitating matching voices from the book),
keep Tony safe from Hydra and other bad guys,
take him to school and pick him up again,
help with schoolwork,
activities such as going to the zoo,
go shopping, even toys.
I have this headcanon that Bucky can sing and come up with new songs especially for Tony to calm him down or use as a lullaby.
Lots of hugs and fore head kisses bc Bucky cares.
And Tony is also interested in Bucky's metal arm, but Bucky never tells the story. Instead, he lets Tony put on colorful magnets or stickers. And yes, we need that part in this fic (:
I would be happy if someone would like to write a ff or use parts of it. But please give credits ^__^

Tuomas Holopainen telling everyone he’s a furry. We’ve all been sleeping on it for years (via fleurdulys)
THIS DAY in Nightwish history
Released April 19, 2004 ‘Nemo’ is the first single from Nightwish fifth studio album ‘Once’.
Tuomas has stated that the song “revolves around the feelings I have from time to time. I feel nameless and do not know who I am or where I will go. I only know my past and I long to be back there. The song is about being lost, not knowing where to go or what to do, yet desperate for everything in life. That’s not always me, but when I wrote Nemo, that’s the way I felt. Now I feel better.”

Tony & Thanos fight …. and Spiderman scene
I’ve been thinking a lot about Tony’s characteristics and how he shows grief/emotional distress, and I haven’t seen anyone else mention it on here so far, but I just think it’s really important and worth mentioning.
One of the best examples of this is what happens to Pepper in IM3. We first watch Tony find out that she’s being experimented on by the Mandarin - the love of his life is in extreme pain - and his reaction?
He flinches. Like full-on grimaces and shuts his eyes and turns away. It’s not exactly the reaction you’d expect. There’s no shouting or hurling of insults. His pain manifests as denial, like he’s trying to wish it away. I have never witnessed a character embody the term “ to bottle up your emotions" so thoroughly before.
Exhibit b. Pepper falls into the fire shortly afterwards. Tony is watching the love of his life crash to her supposed doom, and…what does he do? He stares in horror, (quiet, gut-wrenching horror) then turns his head and closes his eyes.
It’s the same deal as exhibit A! His reaction to Pepper’s supposed death is so knee-jerk and vulnerable, but it is also entirely silent.
Think about that. Like, think really hard about that. How many characters have you witnessed portray loss like this? Because I can’t think of a single one.
Not many actors are talented enough to show that level of heartache and sorrow without any dialogue as well as RDJ can.
Alright, last but not least:
Exhibit c. When Rhodey falling to the ground in CACW.
This one is not quite the same as the other two. After Rhodes crashes, Tony sits there with him, obviously internalizing his grief and panic, breathing heavy, staring around as though he’s confused or dumbstruck that this could’ve happened - how did he let this happen??
The anger on his face is apparent. Anger with Cap, maybe even with Vision - almost certainly anger at himself.
It’s a perfectly reasonable time for him to shout and hurl insults, but he is, once more, silent.
I’m probably missing some examples.
My long-winded point is:
When I was watching Avengers: IW for the first time, I remember I felt sort of…underwhelmed by the ending. Granted, I hadn’t watched any Marvel movies except Black Panther in a very long time, so I was super out of touch, but when Peter was turning to ash, I remember thinking that something was missing, and I remember feeling Tony’s reaction to Peter’s “death” was almost a let-down.
Where was the theatrics? Where was the emotion? The crying and the shouting?
But then I re-watched all the movies, and I saw how Tony grieves and experiences loss. His silence isn’t a lack of emotion. It’s just the way he is. I think traditionally we see grief and loss portrayed on the big screen in very loud, agonized, crying scenes. Heartfelt screaming, painful sobs.
But Tony doesn’t do any of that - and it’s such a profound layer to his character, one that had to be intentional and thought-out.
So when Peter has turned to ash and Tony just sits there quietly, it’s so reminiscent of how he acted when Pepper “died”.
Even before that, when Tony tells Peter “you’re okay”, we got to see that same instinctive knee-jerk sense of denial once more.
Like he wants to just will Peter’s impending doom away.
I don’t blame him for trying.
After all, if anyone is strong enough to will someone to not die, it’s Tony Stark.

Thanos, don’t hurt my baby Tony Stark !
Here's another fanfiction idea: after Tony carries the nuke through the portal into space and destroys the Chitauri armada, the portal closes behind him. At the last moment before he runs out of air, he is captured and tortured by the Chitauri. Thanos allows this at first, but then hears of Tony's title and looks at the records of the Battle of New York. Thanos is impressed and he redeems him and gets him on his side (by brainwashing or persuasion, you decide) and Tony creates weapons, armor and spacecrafts. Thanos is more and more impressed by Tony and in the end they share a bed (maybe Thanos even makes him his queen ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ) After a few years they attack Earth to find the last Infinity Stones and Tony has to decide; stay with Thanos who truly loves and appreciates him or fight for the earth and save humanity.

In the Valley of Orion : This exciting and unfamiliar view of the Orion Nebula is a visualization based on astronomical data and movie rendering techniques. Up close and personal with a famous stellar nursery normally seen from 1,500 light-years away, the digitally modeled frame transitions from a visible light representation based on Hubble data on the left to infrared data from the Spitzer Space Telescope on the right. The perspective at the center looks along a valley over a light-year wide, in the wall of the region’s giant molecular cloud. Orion’s valley ends in a cavity carved by the energetic winds and radiation of the massive central stars of the Trapezium star cluster. The single frame is part of a multiwavelength, three-dimensional video that lets the viewer experience an immersive, three minute flight through the Great Nebula of Orion. via NASA
Earthshadow and the Beehive : The Earth’s dark umbral shadow is shaped like a cone extending into space. Of course its circular cross section at the distance of the Moon is more easily seen during a lunar eclipse. In fact, in this composite telephoto image from Earth’s night side on January 31, the Earth’s shadow has taken on a reddish tinge. The extent of the shadow along the lunar orbit is illustrated by aligning three frames taken just before the start, near the middle of, and just after the end of the total eclipse phase that lasted about 76 minutes. At the upper right and more easily seen during the eclipse’s darker total phase is M44, one of the closest large star clusters. A mere 600 light-years away, M44 is also known as the Praesepe or the Beehive Cluster. via NASA
