thinkin’ about katsuki and himiko

these two are very similar, but canon doesn’t do much at all to make their connection obvious.

they both have a very simple driving force for everything they do. for katsuki, it’s his desire for victory. for himiko, it’s her uncontrollable tendency to love. they’re both unapologetic about their motives and they take pride in it. they’re both in love with izuku.

now back to the above panel. “this sort of deviant behavior is common in children with powerful quirks.” another similarity—those motivations they have in life aren’t socially acceptable. also, they have incredibly overpowered quirks.

but what does this society value more, power, or normalcy? power. always.

so, in the eyes of the society meant to raise them, katsuki’s raw power outweighs his pissy attitude.

but the stakes were higher for himiko. explosion can easily be used in manner that doesn’t harm people—katsuki demonstrates that often. transform, on the other hand, relies on blood, which is much easier obtained by harming someone rather than finding other sources.

little himiko couldn’t help but to love so deeply. but when those around her chose to antagonize that rather than praise her for it, she chose to wield her knife with hatred, not love. society didn’t want to put the effort into helping himiko. i don’t think their stance would’ve changed much if she’d intended to be a hero like katsuki.

so, in this universe, there exists a fine line between those praised for how they were born, and those antagonized for how they were born.

I decided to draw Izuku based on this reference 🥰

Okay but imagine him calling the cat as deku every time he mentions his cat, everyone would think its izuku.

He'd talk about his cat like, "when i met with deku for the first time, he looked weak but i knew for a fact that hes actually strong one hell spawn mf. Heh."

or

"fuckin deku, always trying to sleep on me"

or when his friends trying to invite him but doesnt know he has a cat:

"nah deku is at home now, i dont wanna leave him alone"

y'all, if Katsuki Bakugou had a cat, probably some little stray he found on patrol one day in the rain or something pitiful like that, what kind of name would he give it?

ekkos ears are pierced during the big fight against noxus and viktors' army!!! he doesn't have them at the beginning of ep. 9 in his scene with jinx.

SO somewhere between those two scenes, ekko pierced his ear as a reminder of his time with powder in the alternate dimention. either together with jinx or alone.
