I loooooove how that turned out ❤️
Well, didn't finish the sketch yet, but it's fun to make another drawing for my wall.
Aaand my collection is getting bigger
The links to the individual pieces:
Kirishima, Izuku, Katsuki, Denki and Shoto.
There are also links of the wips of those (except Shoto because I forgot to take pictures) if you're interested to see how I made them.
I decided to make a new blog for that 😁
Hello everyone and welcome to my blog about my AU DesolateTale!
I already had the idea about a year ago, but never really got to make the actual story become reality at some point. (or gave up trying, but this time it's different. I have a plan!)
With this story, I wanted to take the approach of the genocide run and flip it 360° while also connecting it to the always-expanding multiverse.
I will try my best to keep this blog updated, but I cannot guarantee consistent updates. If you want to ask me anything about it or have any other things you want to tell me, feel free to ask me here or on my main blog @lostvi21. I would be happy to answer.
I am sorry. I just have too many projects running simultaneously and I did NOT forget that I wanted to do a couple of Error-comics, but I've been lately distracted first with life and secondly with another project that has been sitting in my head for about a year.
I already tried a couple times creating my own AU only ending in not being satisfied with my results. That led me to entirely take a break from the Undertale fandom, trying to create something else (which also failed of course).
But lately, I read through my older attempts and looked at older concepts I did some time ago and since I really love the idea of that AU and my OCs, I wanted to give it another shot. I feel more prepared than ever to finally turn that beautiful story into a form I can share it with others. I learned from my mistakes and finally got a structure from start to (almost) finish.
And since this is for me a new start of this story, I want to give it a new name (since I don't think the old one fits anymore). And I want to give it the name of another story that never made it and that (for now...) will probably never make it into reality. To honour the first bigger idea I came up with and my first Undertale OC, I will name my AU Desolatetale.
I'm not sure how consistent I will be with updates but I'm giving my best. If you have any kind of questions, always feel free to ask.
(I already posted character sheets here on this blog, but I want to make new 'spoiler-free' ones. If you want to see them anyway, they're here, here and here. I'm not sure if the information about these characters are still correct as I am currently rewriting the story but the designs will stay the same! ... I guess.)
I was drawing a lot in my sketchbook lately and I came up with this place. Something in between of nothing. That's why I called this the "In-Between"
(I am also working on a concept for the character in the middle, but I first need to figure out how he looks. AND I also want to get a little away from my Undertale content, since I failed AGAIN to transfer my idea in a format I would accept, I do what I can do best: start over.)
I really love how peaceful and silent this place seems. I imagine this place to be a sub-dimension in between worlds. Kind of a connecting point for those who are aware. For that, it doesn't need to have much. I decided anyways to give this dimension a guardian and him a little place to be with a little company. (Birds are cute 😊)
Just to prove that this hand looks like the one from the scene:
And yeah, I have no idea why I drew this. And ignore the arm from the hand.
Artfight really spiked my inspiration. Disregarding the fact, I wanted to draw each day and gave up after a week due to a lack of motivation, I kept working on an old story I once came up with. (But I will still revenge any attack I didn't start 😉)
And seeing how other creators work with full passion on their work (currently vibing to the EPIC-soundtrack) fires my passion as well.
I am currently more into redesigning the about 20 characters I have for my story ("In-Between" btw.) and trying to figure out how to draw them in the scenes I had in mind.
I don't know why I feel like I need to justify. Probably for myself because I am yeeting my goal for this month into the trash. But it's okay. The main thing about this, is that I learned something. And that is what makes improvement, right?
I tried to animate again and I found a pretty decent way to organize my work folder 😀 (it still kind of ended in chaos but I'm really looking forward to animating even more stuff 😄 I want to become good 🤩)
and I even started a background but didn't finish it
I just watched the new trailer for pokemon z-a. I think pokemon got me again.
Also something funny I wanted to share: I still think about the days I first played pokemon. I think it must have been diamond or pearl and I picked Piplup as my starter. One day it suddenly evolved, I had no idea what was going on but as it evolved into Prinplup I was sad. I was thinking my cute Piplup just got ugly.
That's so funny thinking back to it.
also, I thought why not draw myself as pokemon trainer. little WIP:
Jupp, we're getting there.
Still need to get a name for him...
Note: My place is currently such a mess. Shreds of paper everywhere.
And I can't stop moving the hand in all different positions. Now I've realized that the way I drew it, it is similar to that one scene where Katsuki and Shoto make those stupid cute anime faces. That scene made me laugh for over a minute.
Okay I made a sick sketch
It's tiny (like on the corner of my sketchbook) but I saw that pose and I was thinking like, okay this is EXACTLY how it looks when he uses his quirk so I scribbled down the pose and then drew him.
I want to make that in big. With markers. And maybe even make a background. And hang it on the wall to Kirishima and Denki.
And I was also thinking of something funny. The way he would describe how he fights with his quirk:
I can use my quirk as a weapon. Just think of it ... like a table. A table isn't dangerous, right? Then you accidentally drop something beneath it, try to pick it up and while getting back up you hit your head against the table. Although, it's just a table, it still hurts, right?
(I'm not sure if I'll allow him to reshape his forcefields but if I do, he would add:
Now imagine the table being a spikey pyramid...)
