Listen, I understand the Scarletella girlies. I do.
But the reason why I'm much more of a Mr. Crawling simp is because of the fact I'm pretty sure with this guy, you could actually go to the bathroom whereas Scarletella would lock you up in a cage with the most ghetto looking toilet so you don't leave.
But y'know...who am I to judge? It's not like he stalked us and forced us into an alternate dimension against our will so maybe I'm being too hard on him, totally.
Thank you @satano-okawaii and everyone who got me to 250 reblogs!
The fact that Mitsuba actually looks so happy about it at the end of the panel is so cute, I can't. And the fact that Kou actually listens to what Mitsuba likes---Kou is such a wholesome potato. Why did AidaIro have to make these two so loveable?
I agree with this headcanon completely ππ
Hi, I just joined the fandom, but I found this extract from the LN (i don't know from which book came from, sorry), and I image how Maomao could react when Jinshi gave her the velvet antler.
If she look so happy with the bezoars,
How she react with the velvet antler?
This is my vision.
Jinshi gave her after a big trouble and Maomao is angry with him.
But...
When she see the antler...
And Gaoshun, say somehow likes that: "You look very happy Xiaomao!"
"Of course I am!
I'm an apothecary, and those are my velvet antlers!"
And Maomao kisses Jinshi.
π
You better, that looks freaking AWESOME
Chat, will I ever finish this? πβοΈ
Hanako has the behavior of a Victorian man desperately wanting to see a woman's ankle π
Hornako saying what everyone else is thinking, I effing love it π€£
Thank you everyone who got me to 100 reblogs! Thank you so much, this is crazy!
One of the cutest aspects about the direction of Yashiro's character in the newer chapters is how much she's openly simping for Hanako. We even get a glimpse into how Yashiro actually views him.
In the beginning, Yashiro was dead-set on only getting with the hottest of hot guys---the whole prince charming type. In fact, this is why she was obsessed with Teru for quite a bit.
But as of chapter you-know-who, there's very clearly a distinction between how the series/other people portray and see Hanako versus how Yashiro views him.
Throughout all the bullcrap these two go through, Yashiro realizes she can't keep her feelings buried anymore (though, I don't see why you would when you literally fight your way through this world's version of hell just to get to this dude, but I digress) and goes all in with acknowledging she wants nothing more than to be with Hanako.
Heck, even when her former crush, Nakahara was (creepily) hitting on her (actually, he was harassing her), she wanted nothing to do with him because Nakahara wasn't Hanako. It literally takes her a few seconds for her to even remember who he is because that's how insignificant he is in comparison to the one and only toilet ghost.
As she runs away from him due to his downright creeptitude (which ironically enough, smartly shows that he wouldn't have even made a good partner anyway so it was actually a good thing he rejected her), she reflects on how she DID want to confess to someone, but it wasn't to him---it was---say it with me: HANAKO--
And the best part from her reflecting on how she wanted to confess to him, it goes back to that part where he was with her in the stage where they'd be holding the performance for the Wizard of Oz. See how the series objectively portrays him versus how Yashiro sees him?
Yashiro is no longer concerned with any prince charming because in her eyes, Hanako IS exactly THAT. From what she originally saw as this snarky boy in a hat, she now sees him as the most handsome because of who he is and what they've both been through together.
He looks more attractive to her because of the fact she recognizes the bond she has with him and wants nothing more than to delve deeper into it.
As messy as these two are, I will say this: AidaIro are MASTERS at subtext and tugging my heart strings.
Yo, Yashiro's a Disney princess and you can't convince me she isn't. Don't look at me like that, you know I'm right.
Animals talk to her (she's had multiple instances of this).
Pretty sure she was poisoned at one point unless I'm wrong.
She ain't got no parents (not any we ever see).
She's under a curse.
She can sing because she played the role of Dorothy for the Wizard of Oz later on in an alternate timeline (and her voice actress has mad vocals).
She's been kidnapped multiple times and technically enslaved as Hanako's assistant.
Ate an object belonging to a sea witch for a tail in exchange for her human legs.
Has had true love's kiss (you know the chapter I'm talking about).
And all of her problems are solved because a big strong man shows up all the time (Hanako---she's always calling him to save her).
Yashiro is a Disney Princess bro. On top of that, she is canonically a mermaid princess because the mermaid queen tried to enlist her when Yashiro wanted to know more about Hanako.
The only time I've actually liked looking at a picture of rats
Its me and the rats running my life π
For real. If a man wants me to dress in black 24/7, he better know how to throw knives or own a dark mansion. Preferably both.
Cringe at myself as a person, tolerate myself as a writer :)
Love myself as a person, hate myself as a writer.
I HAVE BEEN SAYING THIS FOR A WHILE NOW, THANK YOU SO MUCH, I'M SO TIRED OF THE DEFENDERS, OH MY GOSH
I still to this day do NOT understand how people defend Hanako in this scene.
Honestly just this entire scene I found SUPER disturbing and I don't understand how anything defends this...
Everyone's argument is "oh but he loves Nene" or "he's just misunderstood"
Like- tf is there to misunderstand in this??
He tells Nene straight to her face that Aoi died and he DOESN'T CARE.
Nene even felt LIED to bc she thought Hanako and her were meant to be saving Aoi.
And before people say "Hanako didn't sacrifice Aoi!"
Yes that's true but he DELIBERATELY didn't do anything to prevent it and even let it happen on purpose bc it was convenient for him.
Both Hanako AND even the summery of volume 15 paint the picture of Hanako finding this CONVENIENT.
It's his literal JOB to intervene with stuff like this and he doesn't do it bc of his desperation to "fix" Nene's life span-
Even tho it was Nene's BEST FRIEND he didn't care...
But the thing is, is that Hanako does care but he ONLY cares about Nene and even so much so to the expense of even her loved ones
He even shows exactly what he told us in the beginning here...
He's says he "granted your wish" but Nene says it wasn't what she meant...
But it seems really similar almost like exactly what he told us in the beginning?
"You have to pay a suitable price."
A life for a life.
Nothing good comes from supernaturals and to date even now NOTHING good has come from the living interacting with the supernatural.
This scene for me just proves what Teru's been trying to tell us..."there's no such thing as a "good supernatural".
Hi. I like stuff :)I am unable to donate---sorry I'm a brokie
