i genuinely really like how sea of thieves handles gendering your player character, in that it does not bother at all, because it doesn't matter. you choose different body types and they have gendered attributes, but you can wear dresses and have beards regardless of gender, and the game never refers to you by a pronoun or gendered article. it's not perfect, but it is nice

I just learned that Blue Turtle, a terrific illustrator and animator who produces whimsical animations set to relaxing or adventurous low-fi music, is releasing a background app that features their heroine Ithya, a young mage who travels with world perusing libraries and exploring ruins as she studies and learns about magic. I've been listening to Blue Turtle's music for years, and I'm actually kind of excited to see this kind of content of our heroine and her whimsical world.
