When you turn 14, you get a note containing details on how to find your soulmate (like a scavenger hunt). The only catch is that you don’t get your next clue until both you and your soulmate complete that task
If that ain't true.
self-care is spending 90% of your day absorbed in fictional worlds/characters to avoid thinking about or engaging with your very real problems

And before she knew it, she was drowning in it."

Fire was never framed as a positive thing in the story. Think what happened to The Hound, Varys, when we see Melisandre burning people alive as sacrifices, Shireen, wildfire, and yes, Dany burning people alive as well.
Fire was not the hero.
And funnily enough, you would think that fire was heroic in one way, in the battle with the AotD and NK.
But they literally had ice (the Starks) take out ice. The NK couldn't be killed by dragonfire. The dead were still able to get past the fiery trench. No matter how much fire was thrown at the icy threat, it couldn't defeat it.
So while yes, Dany and her dragons were a massive help in the battle of the NK, no doubt, it wasn't fire that defeated ice. Dany didn't kill the NK just like he didn't kill her. The threats to Westeros didn't cancel each other out.
It was Arya (ice) who killed the NK:
And Jon (ice) who killed Dany:
The Starks (ice) were always going to win out in the end. Jon was always going to come back to his Stark side in the end.
The Pack survives.
